This is such a good video idea for us WC3 begginers that have 10% WR but still love to play. Guides for this game are few and far between, especialy up to date ones. Thank you so much, you are the reason I haven't ragequitted this great game.
100% agreed, I kinda wish he would tackle build order and general macro a bit more but I can clearly see why he did not, cuz the vid would have 1 hour and stuff like macro and BO is available in plenty
I just got back into wc3, after not playing for... 12-14 years? Thank you so much for still creating content for it, your tier lists are what brought me back! Much love
Grub, i deeply appreciate the warcraft 3 content. Back in 2003 i was but a child, working summer jobs and saving up money until i could afford a laptop. 1 year later I spent a good amount of money on this computer, if i remember right i spent $1100 dollars which is a massive chunk of change. The first game i got was the warcraft 3 battle chest. I spent unknown hours on it. I've since given it up but now I'm thinking about starting up thanks to your videos
Thanks for the vid. Honestly I never understood night-elf. Played wc3 back in the day, loved night-elf but was bad. Ended up switching to human and I got pretty decent with them. On paper their ne units were meh, they are prone to harass and rush, their heroes were meh with perhaps the worst synergy (unlike undead for instance with their nukes or orc which also has good heroes [both have speed auras which enhance mobility which is great]), even their creeping seems like the most vulnerable and seems like it requires the most practice while multitasking. I still see good players accidentally having their ancient kill the creep lol - you also kind of have to know the map on where to build them. And yet, despite this somehow they are able to edge out wins. Today I see strategies like mass faeri dragons and when I remember how effective mass talons used to be despite them dying left right and center I always wondered how the heck it even works and is viable. I feel that ne on paper should not work but somehow do. They are a weird race, but ya, I never got a handle on their style.
Hello, Grubby, great video, but it was FAR from overexplaining. It began well, but after some 3-5 minutes you went into your regular commentary, and I went to my regular tons of questions. Some of them are: Why bears? What upgrades did you get? Why the naga hero? What did all the items do? What does 21/20 upkeep mean? Why did you win the game? Why did you take your items off before using the wells? What the heck was one of your trees doing eating all the trees around the tortoises? Who did you focus, how, and why? How the heck are you so fast? Why was there so much teleporting in the game? And probably some more. :D I am being so verbose, because I really like your videos and would love to understand more of what I’m watching. :)
Bears are strong and efficient to make/have. With one of the strongest heal that doesnt get interrupted by dmg. I guess he got only the right sode upgrades for animals, no archer upgrades. Naga Hero is good for archers to stay on a target thanks to slow. With naga he also can get the opponents dh. The items do offer stats or reveal invisible enemies or port a single unit back to your mainbase. 21/20 upkeep is cool to get another wisp before having to wait to finish another moonwell. The thing for trees built by nightelfs is that they consume the wisp which finishes creating that. Blizzard was lazy and made it that the upkeep was instantly when you start building the tree, not when it finishes. So he built a tree to get 19 upkeep, started to build anpther wisp and immediatly stopped building the tree, getting the wisp back and to 21 upkeep...
The reason behind dropping the items is thar they give mana. However, if the hero drops it before using the moonwell they would get a bit more mana. For example: A Mana Amulet gives 150 Mana to your hero. You have 0/450 mana atm. You drop the Mana Amulet(getting you to 0/300) to use Moon Wells healing/mana which will restore 300 Mana and when you take the Mana Amulet you're at 450/450 because Y E S .
18:10 100% get what you mean. X) I wonder if it's cuz in these fights, the battle line becomes this blob of brown bear fur with minimal team coloring. So you're like "What's happening? Am I winning?! I THINK SO? MY BEARS! DON'T DIE YET! I can't tell what's happening! AAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Grubby, what do you think of this change to POTS? At the moment Owl Scout is one of the only ways to detect invisible units(With the other one being Huntress Tree Owl) so I propose this change: make the owl have less vision and speed but give it Wisps Detonate ability that becomes more powerful with each LVL. The Detonate would reveal all invisible units for x amount of time that becomes more with each LVL. That way POTS has a more unique ability instead of "A flying unit that just scouts."
Wait so your change for priestess being weak is to make her worse by turning passive invulnerable detection into an active suicide ability with nerfed sight range on top?
Why do you wait until the archer pulls to uproot? You say that the archer has a lower priority, why not just uproot the second the archer finishes so that it's ready to go immediately? I've always wondered this and don't understand
I’m assuming he does it because the creeps are ranged. If the Ancient aggro’d them right away, it would have to walk all the way over the them before it could attack.
Naga wouldn't be better with human or und? I know moonwells give healt/mana but it's a limited and non mobile source. Doesn't brillaince aura/mana from statues work better for her?
As the first Grubby / Warcraft 3 pro match, it was so odd watching what was just Grubby fighting an ever-so-slightly-worse Grubby level of mirror match.

No true beginner is going to learn from this, you have to have a good basis for the game to understand what's going on here

For the thumbnail Sauce hunters: Artist is Nicolas Babas, "Fin'llyria, night elf druid". Glasses were added by Grubby afterwards.
thanks, this was exactly why I went to the comment section.
Thank you, sauce man
lol, the editor is such saucer.

I’m coming back to wc3 after over 10 years of not playing. These thought process videos are the best next to the tier lists of course 😉

It's so funny seeing the two Demon Hunters sprinting towards each other to just raise their arms and then running away😂
Gentleman's manaburn and run.
"What if our mana burns touched?"
Thank you for making these videos again, they help a lot!

People on one of the WC3 discords were just talking about circlet equivalency yesterday. Pretty cool.

I really liked the talking it out episode, Grubby. I appreciate explaining the specific reasons you're doing what you're doing.
As a pure watcher and enjoyer of RTS games I appreciate these "over explaining" videos a lot!

As someone who has never played warcraft 3 multi-player o online these videos help so much. I feel like I know what to look for now as I try to play
Yessss Finally some Night Elf content! Thanks Grubby, keep it up! :)
My boss saw this thumbnail and I got promoted... again!
Babe wake up Grubby is explaining

Never got used to losing units. I fed them I raise them every time a single cry of suffer seems like losing fight.
6:35 Hot passover is the name of my Jewish erotica, funnily enough.
lol
i dont even play wc3 but i love to watch your games
I'm a simple man, I see thumbnail, I click
Heck yeah! Thanks Grubby for the material! Are there any builds with the Warden first?
Wisps, Dryads, Bears, Archers, no other units.... Yep, your tier list checks out. ;)
Thanks!
I DONT KNOW THE GAME, i want to see more of this tuff, i watch SC remastered replays but i do want to see more of WC3.

Used to have a slamming win rate back in the day when I was 13 playing. Just got reforged thinking I'd still be good. I was so wrong lmao.

Calm down son, it’s just a drawing
Night elf chics Green Orc D☆ks
His bears got massacred in the end. Lol! That was all I was seeing. I'm pretty sure he quit the moment all 4 died from the Naga strike/archer focus.
Damn the elf.
Grubby, on what keys do you have your heroes, dryads, bears respectively?
Would also like to know this, just got back into the game today and group hotkeys got me struggling a bit after not playing for a decade lmao
No Orcs tier list because theres no tier D units in that overpowered race.
Was title originally bloody beginner? Or was it always just NE over explain ??
nice hair
I need my dose of tier list
that was really cool)
Erm...Where did you found the NE with glasses for the thumbnail? I am asking for a friend.
I'm also asking for this guy's friend
I required the sauce... Ya know.. For science
Friendship and science are such noble causes. One does not often have the chance to help both. Hope this quest comes to a fruitful conclusion.

best wc3 content
Amoeba.
over explain undead next! maybe... crypt lord?
You could, beyond talking while playing, then cast back the game and explain things, until you have your desired time video
What'd you do with that Night Elf?!!
More plz 👍🏻
link to the elf image please
original art is titled "Fin'llyria, night elf druid" if you google it it will give you link
the thumbnail ver is slightly modified
I have been baited
Gruby i noticed you breath a lot through the mouth
You didn't explained what is Night Elf and it's lore
definitely way tooo much explaining.
NE is unplayable for casual players
says that he is going to dive deep and overexplain... isn't really explaining anything the entire video?
Thanks!
