After everything we know now, I just want to give him a big hug. He doesn't have to do this for us, but he does it anyway. Thank you, Justin. Much love and more love.
What an amazing, emotional night, with this and “RABi” packing in lots of catharsis. I’ll always remember walking away from this show as the laser orange sturgeon moon rose over Lake Superior.
This is the song that broke me. Couldn't make it through the rest of the set without balling my eyes out. I felt embarrassed at the time but now I realize how necessary that was for me.
I saw them in Nashville the day Roe v. Wade was overturned. It was unreal. He was so angry and it came out in the music. It wasn't a happy show, it was just incredibly moving.
He’ll never read this, but thank you, Justin, for doing what most of us can’t imagine which is tearing open wounds for the sake of performance. Feel confident that most of us understand the toll this puts on you and we will always be thankful.
I cannot tell you how many performances I've seen of this song. I was there for the live debut, until now. I had never seen him cry while playing it until this set. To cry with him during this is a feeling I cannot describe. Unreal.
Nick, thanks for uploading. I was trying to remember the set list but my memory fails me these days. I was wondering if you could help me fill in the gaps. I know he started with Perth, but then I get fuzzy. The Johnny Cash cover of Unchained was quite nice, too. Blood Bank. Stacks. Skinny Love. 22 Over Soon. Heavenly Father are some of the ones I remember. Do you remember what else he played? I thought it was a truly beautiful set, especially as a longtime listener from back in 2007 or 2008. It seemed very thoughtfully put together with good peaks and valleys from some of the stripped down acoustic to the newer electronic and then bigger more explosive renditions (they surprised me with doing a big, blown up version of Blood Bank, really). Take care. Really beautiful evening.

he just mentioned this performance in his latest interview, thanks for the video brother
That's how I arrived here. Emotion like this make for the most unreal performances.
super interesting this effect in the later half of the track, its warbly like the Messina the beast is crying

I sobbed throughout thw whole performace of this song. Truly a beautiful soul wrenching rendition ❤
Wow. One for the books.

Couldn't have said it better.
Heartbreakingly beautiful. Wow.
Check out the interview when he told the story of what happened here: "Bon Iver Is Searching for the Truth", New Yorker
