As an American I have always thought that it was strange to send kids to "boarding school". Why have kids if you're going to let strangers raise them? Equally something similar could have happened here. My pathology came back clear, perhaps Catherine's didn't, hence the preventative chemo. Endometriosis is extremely painful. You could see weight loss in Catherine in December, holding her belly etc. Catherine has always had difficult pregnancies and it isn't uncommon for endometriosis to develope at any time during a woman's life. Hormones!

She won't be the only one who's gone into hospital for non-cancer surgery and got this news. My friend had non cancer surgery for an ovarian cyst that suddenly caused terrible pain, and it turned out to have cancer in it. Even though it was removed she had to have the preventive chemo as it burst during surgery and they wanted to make sure none of the cancer latched onto another organ.
Adjuvant Chemo. used for certain types of cancer. They said abdominal so the only cancer in that area that would be likely would be ovarian. But I'm not really buying in to the cancer story at all.

I worked with a woman who had been sent to a boarding school in Scotland and her parents lived in South Africa. She hardly ever saw her parents. She had a brother and a sister who were also sent to boarding schools but in different places in the UK. I only saw photographs of them. The brother lived in Italy, the sister in London. To me that is abuse at the highest level. Like the parents think 'Oh Sharon is almost 11 years old let's send her to Scotland!' Nevermind she has been brought up in South Africa and hasn't seen her brother and sister in years. It became difficult due to her mental health to spend time with her and her son who was a friend with my son has cut contact with his mother. These boarding schools are like training schools for humans not to have feelings or empathy and become weirdos who then try to control us.
I am Australian my parents owned a large cattle station in the middle of Australia. I went to boarding school from aged 10 year 5 until I matriculated at 17years old. I did get homesick but my parents wanted us all to have a good education - which I got. And we understood running a huge property needs both our parents attention. They had also been to boarding school. There were no local schools for us to attend once we reached High School age in any case.
I had no trouble fitting into University life. I graduated with a B Ed/ EcE. 40 years later my friends are the friends I made at boarding school and at University and we catch up a couple of times a year for a weeks holiday. Not everyone has a bad experience in boarding school.
