For me I think movement should blend BF 3, 4, and 1. V and 2042 try too much to turn battlefield into a movement shooter and it just becomes a 32v32 cod. I’m not saying the movement should be Milsim level, but it should be designed in a way that encourages team play rather than lone wolfing. Give me the map flow from BF1 operations with the older titles movement. For me my battlefield moments were the epic pushes and defenses amongst vehicle support, and not 1v20 clutches

Sliding left and right is frustrating in Battlefield V-it's practically COD. When I want to play a realistic game, I choose Squad. If I’m after a fast, arcade-style experience, I go with COD. But when I want something in between, leaning more towards realism, it’s Battlefield that I prefer. That’s why so many people enjoy it. I don't particularly appreciate sliding in general, and if they do include it, it should be like in Battlefield 1, where sliding is only for taking cover. Keep up the good work :)

  • @7loboOfficial

Funny how you say BF1 feels slow and boring, yet it is the most fun and chaotic BF ever. The movement is old school gaming, and actually REQUIRES the player to be good at aiming, using the appropriate class, and teamwork, as opposed to superhuman movement needed to flank the opponents. BF movement with the addition of crouch running and jump roll would be the ideal movement type for actual Battlefield fans

    • @EndersFPS
      @EndersFPS  9 часов назад +1

All FPS games benefit from you being good at aiming. BF1 being slow is not an opinion, it's a fact. The most fun? Subjective lol. The most chaotic? Maybe. Game has a lot of cheese. You've always needed the appropriate class, and you've always needed to flank in Battlefield. Teamwork doesn't really exist in Battlefield pub lobbies. Only in organized squad play or comp events

For me battlefield 5 had the best movement just because of the sprint while crouched. I loved that in Red Orchestra 2 and was happy to see it in BF5.
The thing with movement (like with so many other things like setting and stuff) is that there is no wrong way to do it. The battlefield games do have very different types of movement systems so there is one for almost everyone. It's just a matter of personal preference and not of right or wrong.

Battlefield 4 also has ADS movement speed differences. Bullpup weapons like f2000 have higher ADS walking speed than non bullpup weapons.
If you dont press WASD as you land from a jump, you will slide, and you wont get movement penalty from chaining jumps this way. Jumping this way also lets you keep momentum from high speed, such as from movement glitches.
You can shoot while jumping, but only after reaching the peak of you jump.
There are some new glitches too. Glitches like rouzou have a decent amount of depth to them.

I think they should go for a modernized BF3 (and not just in regards to movement either). While BF4 is great and I still play it from time to time, I'd rather player skill be primarily dictated by aim, positioning and game sense - with less emphasis on fast and unpredictable movement. At least for a new release that's supposed to (hopefully) be a reboot and revival of the franchise. Obviously there should be a degree of a skill gap in movement, but I just don't want it to feel like those 24/7 Locker servers where it's constant air strafe swings around corners or players juking your bullets like crazy.

I think that for the next game they shouldnt try to do realisitc movement, with a lot of inertia, sway and else. In my opinion (i might be biased cause i like bf4 a lot) they should definitely add a learning cruve to movement, so that if you spend time playing you can have more fun moving better than others and thus having a more in depth gameplay, but it cant be overpowered either. Some air strafing is fine just so you get that little movement speed boost, and they should add a few mechanics like repeated crouching. Globally DICE should aim to make the gameplay fun in the first place before the rest.

    - crouch jumping increases significantly the distance of the jump especially when peeking with strafing
    - crouch jumping timed well lets you chain jump without jumping penalty, forever whilist switching between ads and hipfire (tricky)
    - you can jump after slide
    - when you hit prone button while sprinting on a ledge, you will drop from the ledge, keeping the momentum with a broken prone animation while you can still shoot very accurately
    - you can bind vaulting and jumping to separate buttons and avoid the vault animation in many scenarios (kinda the same thing you mentioned about jumps through the windows)

People really forget how clunky and clumsy BF2's movement was (dolphin diving anyone?!). BFBC2 changed a lot of that for the better and I think BFBC2 has paved the way for better movement in later BF games. But around this time people also started to complain that BF is more and more becoming like CoD. I think the evolution of movement really plays a big role in that. For my part, I think it's good that the movement has become more complex and dynamic.

BF4 competitive matches had movement that was utterly cracked, it's honestly shocking how quickly those matches were played. If anything Esport FPS games of today are watered down- and designed to give players the illusion of control, rather than real unrestricted movement.
People talk as if today's movement in games is fast, but it couldn't be further from the truth.
Today's "advanced" movement is just a simplified fancy version of what the pros of BF4 managed to do with movement tech a decade ago.
The skill gap was massive back than.

I think the slide heavy nature of BF5 is irritating but slide needs to be more effective and useful than BF1. I think there is a lesson to BF1's popularity. You don't need to copy its movement and I assume the next game won't but the sound, music, and environment are top notch and that's why a lot of people enjoy it. Put whatever movement in the game you want but don't drop players into sterile, boring, idiotic maps.
If 2042 had some of the legacy mechanics of BF3 and 4 (and gun selection) but had maps, sound, immersion like BF1 it would have been a huge hit and have way more players. Designing video games is difficult but all the features players want have already been done in previous games. Go back to basics and players that want gameplay depth/movement and players that want immersion, sound, environment can all be happy.

Enders you know that 90% of battlefield community is all about PTFO (they always complain about players not PTFO in yer streams youtube comments or reddit posts ) and you shoud of pointed out more why movement is so important to properly PTFO if you a pro or even a noob in any fps games that includes objective type game play like capturing the flag or planting m-com aka the bomb and there is always people who defending objective by holding a defensive angle and players who trying to peek that angle to perform the kill on defending player in game like battlefield one where movement was removed i know if i try to peek same skilled player i will die 9 times out of 10 and woud rather play off objective and get alot more kills that way to atleast try and be effective that way never the less very nice and informative video thank you

The irony here is that Enders is "PTFO'ing" infinitely more than these complainers. They don't see kills as an objective.
You're arguing about "competitive" modes in a casual shooter as well. There are no obligations for players to do anything.

Battlefield V is probbaly my favourite movement system in any "boots on the ground" fps game.
The crouch sprinting, sliding and proning movement, all felt very smooth and just felt right.
I was really expecting Dice to build upon it and improve it
Instead they totally removed in 2042
BO6 is the closest thing to BFV's movement but didn't feel as good.

There is one more trick avaible in bf5 i dont know what is called tho but if you timed your crawl button while being on the edge you could kinda gain momentum like a speed boost but it mainly works in a gun fight not like to get faster to the objective lol

  • @peeepeeepooopooo
    @peeepeeepooopooo 2 дня назад +1

Does anybody know where this conceptualization of you jumping more effectively after a slide? Were drugs involved in this?
Slide itself is not the issue if it's just used for peeking and going to cover but when it's used for traversal itself then that's a complete red line. After the slide you should lose all momentum and it should take time for you to stand up rather than cancelling the animation like a crackhead.
And jump shots should only be stabilized near the peak of the jump otherwise it should be as inaccurate as hipfire in ADS.

I think a potential reason for movement being so lackluster in BF1 is just how bad the guns are. If you have an inaccurate weapon with a tiny magazine, it gets way harder to shoot a slide peeking target

I'll be honest. I still personally would take BF3 and 4 Movement any time of the day when we want to talk about the general movement styles.
But there are specific movements from newer games that are pretty nice to have as well.
I like the BF3 movement, since the movement feels more real to me. Which I prefer, since there's no hyper people flying around corners. But that's a me thing.
Really interested to see what the new battlefield will come up with.
But your explanation of people wanting better graphics and destruction, because even on a fairly mid-range PC I can barely get COD or 2042 to even run, let alone launch smoothly on the lowest settings. So I just hope I dont need to shell out money for a new card and CPU just to play the new BF.

people never really think too much about stuff and just blame the developers. even though bf5 and bf2042 were a disaster, there were things that were wonderful in them. this is the reason i'm scared of this community: the developers might listen to the voice of a mob and remove stuff that was actually good in order to appeal to the people and get their approval and money. the community doesn't think too much about what they are saying, and the developers only think about profits. what a nightmare to live in

The problem with Battlefield movement is that what used to be glitches became features in the last 2 games. If you want to play COD, go play COD, don't try to turn BF into COD.
Battlefield lost it's identity and that's the biggest reason for it's failure, movement is just one aspect of it.
