That was awesome. I simply do not understand why Islam does not allow music or art. Is there any other reason other than "Satan" and distraction? God, if he is real, would not give us such gift to just "tempt us."
Thank you 🙂 Well, all depends on which god we mean. For me, God is only the feeling that I experience and express when I perform some arts, meditate or walk in nature... Other than Spenoza's concept of god, despite my respect to all traditions, the rest of concepts are not more than an accumulation of human experiences. I don't think that god would interfere in the ruling of drawing Mona Lisa or a prophet, permitting calligraphy and prohibiting sculptures... Such rulings, for me, don't respect nature, the nature of our diversity and the capacity of the human soul/mind, which is an absolute truth, more than any religious system or belief.
