If it wasn't for Dan Seagrave's work in "Terminate Damnation" I never would've set my eyes on a BTA album. I have both the band and the album cover artist to thank for really getting me into death metal.
Hey, if you have a moment, please check out our new single featuring Jason Wisdom from BTA! It's called Worry of Wages and you can find the lyric video for it on our RUclips page.
This is actually a Christian band and this album i fell in love with years ago! They do a cover of How Great Thou Art(common church song). Interesting...

"How Great Thou Art" and "End of the Age" are my favorite songs from this album.
If you want more BTA in a single go, try looking up Requiem Aeternam, which is a trilogy of tracks. There's a video that has all three stitched together. Great listen. Also, I'd like to request The Kakistocracy Catacombs by Drottnar. Thanks!

Devin Townsend worked with these guys so that's a recognition of quality! You should really check out more of them, this album was pretty good but not really their best, 'terminate damnation' as has been commented is really good, their version of 'how great thou art is bonkers in the best way also the track 'breathing light' is well worth a listen!
I generally listen to music for the way it makes me feel. It is so freaking cool to hear a technical aspect to it because I tend to miss the details because I get wrapped up in the feels. I have loved all your reactions that I have watched.
You are listening to one of the best Christian metal albums of all time, in my opinion. Dichotomy is a great song, but the next song may be the best on the album, "Artificial Immortality."
Cool! Thanks! I would also recommend Elegy by Becoming The Archetype off their debut album, Terminate Damnation. Everything about that album is amazing though.
Finally another person who lists Ransom as a favorite. Elegy was actually on the record two records prior with Physics of Fire coming between Terminate Damnation and Dichotomy.
I’m new to this channel, but I love Becoming The Archetype, and this video earned a sub from me. The song after this one is Artificial Immortality, which is one of their most popular songs and one of my personal favorites as well. One of my favorites that seems to get very little attention is Construct And Collapse, and I’d love to get your reaction on that one. It’s on the prior album The Physics Of Fire, which admittedly is a polarized album, but I enjoy it. On a separate note, I know this video is kind of old, and I’m still scrolling through, but have you heard of Hope For The Dying? They’re also amazing and do some similar things, combining the heavier sounds with beautiful melodic sounds as well. If you want to check them out, my suggestions would be Transcend or a trilogy of songs called The Awakening, The Awakening: Dissimulation, and The Awakening: The Veil Lifted. All these songs are on their album Dissimulation, and the whole album flows one song into the next so well, it’s hard for me to not listen to the full album in one go. It’s quite possibly my favorite album of all time. Aletheia and Legacy are also great albums. They also have a self-titled that I do enjoy, but it feels less polished and like they hadn’t quite found their sound yet. They do some really interesting things on Legacy. The lead vocalist on this Becoming The Archetype song you covered here does guest vocals on the song Nemesis, and the song after it, Trenches, is one of my favorites. I’ve probably babbled enough. I get excited when I talk about either of these bands because they’re two of my favorites.
I think you should react to periphery, reptile if you want a long prog song, or satellites, or the bad thing. Keep doing your videos, I really enjoy them
The whole album is really good, and no two songs are quite alike. Each very much have their own personality, some quite strange. The whole album falls into a progressive deathcore category with weird synth and piano added to it, giving it a techo or classical feel to it. Very unique sound. Vocalist sounds very clear for this genre of music, with a deeper, register than most other "screamo" metal core bands, following a more classic Death metal style with contemporary techniques.
Great reaction to one of my favorite metal bands. This album was the final album with Jon Star, the guitarist who also played on their first album. It also had a very distinct sound compared to some of their others due to Devin Towensend being producer. Although not in this song, Townsend also provided some background vocals for this album (check Mountains of Souls from this album). One of the other things I love about this band’s albums each album is very distinct from each of their other albums in my opinion. For a more progressive death metal sound check their album Physics of Fire. The lead track “Epoch of War” is always a great place to start on the album. This album also features some of the fastest and most complex guitar work in their catalog. Keep up the good work my friend.
Epoch of War, The Great Fall, and Construct and Collapse are some of my favorites from their sophomore album. I feel too many people write that album off, possibly due to the clean vocals on it. The whole album is so good.
Thanks for the video, totally forgot about this band for a while! If you ever get a chance, try either "The Smoke Of Many Fires" by Be'lakor, or "Anesthetize" by Porcupine Tree. They are both fantastic songs I think you will dig!
If you want to check out this band again I'd recommend "Cardiac Rebellion" off the celestial completion album. I'm also pretty sure the album that this song is from is a whole concept album.

Hi Brian. Would you be able to review Mr Bungle sometime? Their songs 'Travolta,' 'Slowly Growing Deaf (Sleep Part 1),' or 'Egg' are probably my favourites. Great reviews, dude!
I would really love to see you react to either Tides of Man (something off Dreamhouse... maybe Statues, think you will recognize the vocals) or Moon Tooth. Jeez anything by Moon Tooth really but maybe start with White Stag or Through Ash. Moon Tooth climbed my band tier list amazingly quickly - they’re storytellers at heart and pretty much all of their music reflects that.

So becoming the arachatype is a Christian band they picked they’re name because to become the archetype means to become perfect aka like Jesus and I’ve actually exchanged emails with their keyboardist slash guitar player and vocalist he’s a Lutheran pastor
Never thought i would see a reaction of this band. The band that got me into more the death metal side of things!

The whole album is fantastic! This song moves into Artificial Immortality. My favorite from the album is End of the Age
Dayum this was killer, thanks for introducing this Band to me 🙇🏻
They just released new music after ten years, I'm so stoked to have my favorite band back

Bro I actually emailed Seth their keyboardist guitarist and vocalist and he’s a Lutheran pastor coolest dude ever

I've only heard Dichotomy so far so any song of theirs would be a good one to take on next.
That "yea" at like 3:46. I felt that.
The album art is from the third book in C.S. Lewis' "Space Trilogy"
This song is so good! I'd like to request Parallel Kingdom by Fleshkiller.
Ooooh good one!
You should definitely listen to Into Oblivion, easily my Becoming the Archetype song, I think you will really like that one
I think you should react to periphery, reptile if you want a long prog song, or satellites, or the bad thing. Keep doing your videos, I really enjoy them
I agree, I should react to that song :) ruclips.net/video/-zI3o7rRvN8/видео.html

Gotta love a death metal song that morphs into a ska song
Reflect/Refract is a great song from them as well.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS - THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Try off their album Celestial Completion listed as 2 songs but they are inseparable and PURE MUSICAL GENIUS ... Invisible Creature/Cardiac Rebellion

You should check out Elephant Watchtower I believe it's a one man band kind of has progressive elements like BTBAM
"Somewhere in Time" is everyone in this band's favorite album, except the singer.
Would be interesting to see you reacting to Ulcerate.
I am once again asking for August Burns Red - King of Sorrow :D
Very good song. But I feel like with his taste he'll prefer something like Coordinates, or Martyr, or even Majoring in the Minors.
Oh, Sleeper - World Without A Sun is also a notable band/song.
It’d be interesting to hear his take on some hardcore/beatdown. Kublai Khan TX - ‘The Truest Love’ especially
If you liked this you should listen to elegy by them. 11 mins long and broken into 3 sections. Best song by them
Always always been a solid band... 👌
