How cool , I just saw Steve with Ringo in Paso Robles, I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and would frequently run into him and yourself at SIR and many other gigs. Mr Lukather is not only a great musician but I enjoy his sense humor ( he has no filter ) and he is extremely social and very fun to work with but yet always the consummate professional. Thank you for another great video Mr Sklar from San Luis Obispo.
The thing that amazes me about Luke is the amount of great songs he continues to put out. There's quantity AND quality in his work. Thank you so much for sharing a bit of what you are up to with this coolest cast of characters. Safe travels always to you Lee.
Steve's a great dude and great musician. I play drums as a hobby and the late great Jeff Porcaro has long been my main inspiration. I study his musicianship extensively so anyone associated with Jeff, whether through Toto, Steely Dan, Seals and Croft, Boz Scaggs or the thousands of songs he played on through his studio work serves as a template for me. So I follow Steve's career. He's mean with that guitar but he's an all-around great cat and a good and decent man.
I love this new album. Hope Luke plays live behind it with my favorite bass player - that dude with the big white beard. His name is escaping me at the moment... 😁😁🧡

Thank you for a visit and Steve Lukather’s sample from his new album. The traveling musicians life, even in the top tier you are in, is as the Beatles sang ‘A Hard Day’s Night'. 👍
So many layers to All Forevers Must End…. WOW I have not been moved like this since Surfs Up at this level. Like a fine wine Luke keeps cranking out beautiful and prophetic music…
@drich2766 You expect me to remember what I was wearing? 😂😂😂 I was there to listen and be blown away, and I was! I would have been happy in a gunny sack.
I was as excited seeing Steve with the All Starrs a week ago as I was seeing the lead singer. Great performance by all, and I was happy to see Steve live for the first time.
Always great to hear you playing with Luke - bought the album already - it is fantastic. Always enjoy your work Lee, no matter who the artist, you have that great talent for adding exactly whats to be in the bottom end groove over the years. Cheers and have a great tour.
Luke is an outstanding musician, and such a humble person. His new album is pretty darn good. Nice to see great musicians getting together and putting out real music. Thanks Leland. Enjoy the road.
Good evening from Cape Cod, Lee! ⛵️⚓️🛟 Great tunes here. I can definitely hear that, "Toto" influence here; total awesomeness! I hope the hell you were able to doze off this afternoon. Love you SO much! ❤🥰🎸🎶😎
The more I listen to the album, the more I like it - picked it up on vinyl, fantastic project! Burning Bridges has such a Steely Dan vibe to it - very cool.
Hi Lee. I listened to Steve's album the day it came out and thought to myself , This is a grower. on second listen the tracks really stand out and are very strong. The Title track has that Big Steely dan influence that Steve loves. Great playing from you all as usual. Thanks always for the videos and the Tour footage . It's always a total pleasure. Enjoy the rest of the tour.
Another nice one boy Luke just keeps on laying down some great stuff That's still going on off and on with Toto Ringo and a whole lot more Steve busy as you brother I'm glad I got the CD just got it earlier this week it's a good one
Sounds Great Leland 🎸 Wish we had the late great Carlos Vega on DRUMS , i can hear Carlos's beautiful side stick and his singing Hi-hats and carefully placed Toms Toms in these S.L. Songs ! Rock on Mr. Sklar !

Steve Lukather and bass player Hamish Stuart swapped instruments during a performance by Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band at the Greek Theater on June 15. The song, Work To Do, was written by the Isley Brothers and originally released in 1972. The Average White Band, a Scottish funk band, had a hit with it in 1974. Hi there, Leland!! Yes, you certainly are busy, but that’s a good thing. Have missed a few of your daily’s but will catch up. Have a great show tonight!!!
Such a great album. I’m great full you guys keep doing what you do best. This is just another great album in an already amazing collection of music. Cheers
That Burning Bridges has such a groove to it! Love all of them, Luke is the best! I also saw his interview with Sunset Sound. Loved his story with you shooting a be be gun at a coffee cup in the studio during a session. That’s awesome that you two have a strong and long friendship. Keep rockin Lee and Luke!
Listened to the singles Luke put out in advance of the album and knew I needed to buy the album when it came out. My jaw hit the floor when I saw your name attached to three of the tracks! 🤯😎 I had no idea you were involved in the project until I saw those liner notes.
Very cool 😎 tracks from Steve Lukather and bandmates, Thank you Please do nurture self lots of R & R and I hope a reconnect with Daryl Steurmer. . .that would be absolutely wonderful! 😊
OH MAN, Lee: I really hope you get a chance to hook up with Daryl! You’ve shared how much you guys love each other and how far you go back. Would you consider just a SHORT little vid of him just saying hi to us all? Love him in Genesis and his solo work that you turned me on to 😁
Summerfest in Milwaukee is a good time! 3 or more stages, great bands: I saw WAR, Almond Brothers, and many more there. The first tune has somewhat of that Frankenstein vibe, which is cool!
@@lelandsklar6363 I worked there a few years in a row: I wrote names on grains of rice; I even made a few with the whole alphabet! Since I was working, and some 14 h a day I didn't get to see and do much of anything, but I did get some breaks and there was a small stage very nearby. If you get a chance which I know is rare in your business, get your face painted, buy some cool stuff, and try some of the food, it being Milwaukee, I recommend something German! Have fun out there Lee!

Steve is a legend of the studio, just like Lee. So many songs and albums. Just saw him with Ringo's Allstars. Outstanding!
