I like new dir en grey better than old dir en grey. For me, everything they've released since Uroboros has been incredible. With that said, I still think the original version of Kigan is better, BUT I'm glad they released this version too. Always nice to have as many Dir en grey songs as possible edit: nevermind, after listening to this version a few times, I like it better than the original, LOL. Amazing song.
Basically a hybrid of how they perform it live and the album version. It's one of those where it's more like a rerecording of the song in their current approach to it.
I don't mind this remake as much, I kinda feel like they didn't want to deviate too much from the original composition but tried to update the production with a fresh take. I mean, the track played live will go SO damn hARD no matter how strange or different this remake sounds compared to the old recorded Kigan (which is also, a heavy beast), I wouldn't want to change much of it either. I would rather they headed in a direction where this track could've had straight deathcore growls and a grunty as fuck atmosphere, but I can definitely appreciate this route where they've blended their old style with their current eclectic mood, esp. with Kyo again showcasing his range/versatility as a highly skilled theatrical vocalist.
Well atleast 2:05 in the song Kyo gave us a little suprise with his beautiful screaming vocals and with the rest of the members a nice different but same riff
I felt the complete opposite. Maybe it's because I have a very big connection with the original, but I hated the Wake remake. I still think the Kisou version was better, but I kinda liked this remake
I like that the beginning feels a bit more omnious to me in this new version. Although I don't want to compare them because they are in different styles and I like both clean and raw sounds...
Music is really based on people's opinions because I'm sitting here like 'How is it possible to fall in love with this three seconds into the song?' while others still comparing it to their old stuff. 🤔🤔😕😕😕
Mmm I hear you. For me Kisou had some of their most interesting production. Some really cool techniques around distortion - particularly in the drum sound - which harkens back to Japanese punk like Number Girl and Bleach and early Buck Tick records. This trashiness at least to me comes off as purposeful and glues the instrunents together. Something this remake lacks, which is very clean and also lacks the brightness of the original. The use of dynamics is also what made the original more energetic/interesting. Both in songwriting and from a production/mix perspective. It also made really good use of tension and release (something which isn't provided until you you hit the funk section before the last chorus)

WOOOWOOOOOOOW LOVELY I already loved this song many years ago....this remake is soooo good!! love it

H. N yeah. I don’t know how much I liked it, but the went with Jens Bogren for mastering which is rad

They never disappoint
It's beautiful. It also sounds a bit like 70's rock
why does it sound like this version is a demotape for the original kigan..
love it
Muy bueno, necesitaba bailar un poco :)
Thank you!

Where the hell is the bass? Its literally the best part of the original song
You can hear it, it's a very fuzzy tone.
LUV IT!!!!!!
The original recorded version is better, but this version is so fucking good live, its unbelievable
I actually prefer this version ( not to say the original isn't great). The guitar solo paired with that organ sound is so chilling!
Okay, so I really like the Wake redo, but this one is kinda boring. The Deeper Vileness remakes was good as well

Bought the album on itunes and these remakes aren't there

Hmm not bad

the old version is better...
This is very underwhelming... feels a bit unnecessary. Nothing was really gained from this version.
The screaming was nice since there wasnt much in the old version
the chorus doesn't sound as shitty in this version imo
Original one had balls, this one is far inferior, which is strange because Kisou is one of their worst sounding albums production-wise.

I think a lot of the 'bad' production in Kisou was intentional. It sure as hell sounds better than the overly clean style of this one.
I guess it's balanced around their live performance?
"Kisou is one of their worst sounding albums production-wise" ok, I have my dose of retarded stupid comment of the day from youtube
Mandaskita Par You probably have no idea what that comment meant.
Bottom of the death Valleyのリメイクが出た時、思いました
Noice
