Love it! Looks like it works fine to me. Some folks go way overboard and their tools are nicer then the projects they build. Wouldn't worry about the bearing at the end. I have drilled a center hole before and used a string around my torch before. I don't ever have a need to cut anything that thin, most is 1/4" or thicker and has to be ground after anyway. Jonathan
I'm guilty of making nice tools. I don't cut circles too often and this approach is as good as any. For the times I do need to cut a circle with my powerplasma I'll probably use the string approach.
Nice jig! I picked up a plasma cutter recently. Unfortunately, I can't turn it on to test it because my compressor blows more oil than air, but when I get that sorted, this will be one of the first things I make :)
Energy Fabricator Thanks! I know that feel, my cutter sat in its box for about a year between when I bought it and when we bought a compressor large enough to run it. Like I said in the vid, if you can find a bearing or something that fits tighter to the torch end, use it, the bike clamp I used has a little more wiggle to it than I'd like.
Darwinpasta Since my last message, I have stripped and rebuilt my compressor and it works great except that i need to get some gasket sealer to finish it off and fill it with oil. Once I do that, I should be good to go. I am already looking through my bits and pieces for the right parts to make the jig.
I like how freely it spins. That is important to me because if it spins freely my cutting speed will be more uniform. I hope I can find some parts to make one for my everlast plasma cutter.
lol yeaa i agree why fckin buy it if you can make it for free. however noticed you ALL 80 % have magnet to it one way or another . so im goin in another direation without magnet-copycat like lol
Nicely done tool. I need one of those for my powerplasma cutter.

I think a nice circle cutter jig for my everlast plasma cutter would come in very handy.
Gonna make myself one for my everlast plasma cutter.
