    Touch Fuzzy
Final Fantasy XV has one of the most troubled and public development cycles of almost any game, and despite incredible reviews and sales, it’s still found itself in a weird place with its fanbase. We decided it was worth taking another look at why we love this game so much, and why we think it deserves to “Stand Tall” among not just RPG’s and Final Fantasy, but gaming as a whole.

I played this when i first bought a PS4. At the time I had fell off gaming for a couple years and this game revitalized my love for gaming ! I'm glad I played it when I did cuz now I tend to speed through games since I have a huge back log. I took my time playing this and it reminds me of when I took my time to blend in with a game .

I had such a similar experience! I’m not always lucky enough to be able to give games the time I would like, but the amount I put into this one is substantial and well worth it.
I think FFXV is special like that. Thank you so much for the comment - means the world!

      Yesssss! Love seeing FFXV fans!
It is heartbreaking we never got the end to it. I would love to see a remaster of it for PS5 where we maybe get that DLC, but even if we never get it, I think it stands on its own beautifully.

The first cutscene is so emotional in retrospect!
Like Noctis is just being a bit spoiled, a young man who's eager to get away from his overbearing Father, and the royal expectations placed on him by his birthright, who's seemingly given the chance to finally leave. And he's annoyed cuz here his dad's stopping him.
He's just leaving for a few weeks maybe then coming back when he's married.
But from Regis's pov, he's trying to make sure his son doesn't just give up and turn around like he's known to do from being a spoiled prince.
He's trying so hard to ensure his son is truly ready to leave home, that he *won't* come back, at the same time as trying to say something that acts both as fatherly love/advice, and as final words his son can take with him, because he knows he's gonna die in a coup in a few nights.
Its just such a perfect and such a sad scene.
It truly encapsulates the communication and relationship between parent and child under such dire circumstances.

Good retrospect video overall, but there is one correction. The Ring of the Lucii is at base a Light condenser. Each King who wore it basically drained their lives to add their "Light" to it. The ring needed to build up enough of it to purge the amount of Darkness Ardyn drew into his body.
So at the end, every stab Noctis took was the Kings drawing their Light out of the ring and into himself, something which is very difficult for any mortal body to bear. The resulting death of Noctis basically allowed him to enter the afterlife plane with the collected Light of all the Kings of Lucis to finally purge Ardyn of the Darkness that plagued him, otherwise he would have returned given enough time passed.

The book is so extremely slept on. The game itself had an okay ending, but it was still sad. And I'm a sucker for happy endings, which the book absolutely gave. If anyone reading this comment has yet to read it, I would suggest you do. Its relatively expensive at $25 USD, but I think it's worth it

@@TouchFuzzy I just gotta say, it would have probably been 10x better as Final Fantasy Vs 13.
I remember the trailers where they wanted to make the cities open world and combat rich. Each character weapon would do bonus damage against some enemies and had timing to disable enemy attacks and the like.
Plus Stella was much otter and more well rounded than Lunafreya. Plus she wouldn't have had such little screen time and be done dirty like she was.

This a very well made video👍🏻
I enjoyed the game very much when it first come out but somewhat i felt the game was I complete and broken at the time.
My question is, now with the royal edition is the game much different to when it’s first launched? If so I might replay it again..

    • @TouchFuzzy
      @TouchFuzzy  Год назад

The game features so much QOL improvements I really personally felt the difference, however it is fundamentally still the same game. I loved it at launch and thought it was improved a lot upon the Royal edition.
I think it’s worth taking another look at with fresh eyes and the conversation at launch gone.
I hope this helped, and thanks so much for the comment. Honestly made my day. The reason we made the video was to get people to maybe look at it again or open up the conversation

I hate youtubers who make essays. Your entire shtick is to take something old and just say something absurd about it "Busby 3D: were we wrong about it?" followed by 40 mins of vapid anecdotal arguments delivered as facts and then not having the balls to take a side, finishing with something like "but who can really say?aren't we all just a 3d character?"
