Well there goes that excuse 😂! I just know our guys pretty much all played 2 full games so am factoring that into our sluggishness. Perhaps Nuno managed it better in that aspect.
The Forest internationals hardly played though (if at all). Pretty massive difference./ Stop making excuses up for it. Liverpool were unlucky and at a disadvantage because of the break. End of story. No excuses.
We had 14 internationals, 6 of which played 2 games. Regardless we had people travel to Africa, US and South America. Liverpool will finish well above Forest but we deserved this victory and the international’s are an excuse. Slot should have managed it better.
Forest fan here. Liverpool have been the most consistently good English team since the 1970s at least. This is a bump in the road for Liverpool - and a huge bonus for Forest. but come end of the season, you’ll end up with 80+ and we will hope like hell we can reach 40
I think you will be above 40 with the team and manger you have. Apart from YNWA (being biased), Mull of Kintyre is the next best song in English football!, love it!
Bummer - But makes sense - the manager is still learning - it is a good thing that it's happened early on - he will learn... we have a big squad so hopefully we see some more changes as the season goes on - bring on Milan!
@@LFCBeliever 1 thing I have noticed over the years is that Liverpool sometimes plays with too much arrogance... Instead of being deadly in front of goal, they take their chance like they will have another chance again... as we learnt this weekend, you get punished in this league, even with the lower teams!... hopefully it's just a blip - also, keep up the videos big guy... It only goes up from here 🙌
Every team had players on international break. LFC has always had a rough time with teams that sit deep and play on the counter. They lacked creativity and, frankly, moved the ball around too slowly with too many touches, allowing the opposition to get back and organize. They bumped into each other a few times and couldn't complete a decisive pass in the final third. These are skills Man City performs better than anyone else and why they almost always find a way thru the most stubborn defenses. I think it was just an off-day. It happens. They have a chance tonight to redeem themselves and get back to winning ways. Go Reds.
Very true, and we will come up against many more teams at Anfield who play this way so we need to figure out a way through. Glad it’s a quick turnaround so we can hopefully forget this one and move on 👍👍
Forest put the ball in the net more times than Liverpool that's why they lost. Fans can make as many excuses as they like but the only statistic that counts is the score.
international break is such a lazy excuse, Nottingham forest had 13 players on international break, 2 of which got injured. stop with the excuses, forest were just tactically better. it helped that salah was awful
I agree it’s not an excuse and we should be able to deal with a break, it’s just a reason why we were suddenly sloppy versus 2 weeks ago. Yeah Mo had a tough game
You should really do your research on other teams before coming out with crass comments like “international games not really the case for Forest”. They had players in the US and South America and two key players out injured. Give some credit where it’s due.
There were literally 2 things that went wrong... and interestingly, neither of them were Liverpool's fault: 1. Forest's keeper had the literal game of his life, pulling off some incredible saves. Liverpool had so many shots which should easily have been a goal if not for this, so it wasnt Liverpool's finishing that was a problem. 2. Liverpool were massively suffering from international fitness levels being low, whereas Forest, who dont really have that problem had plenty of fitness and rest in the break. This is just more evidence that the international breaks REALLY need to be completely scrapped.
Forest came in with a game plan. Executed it perfectly. Got the break they waited for and took it. Game over!
Yep, fair play to them 👍

Absolutely, early days still and his first taste of a low block team! Bring on Milan 💪💪

@@Drafter22Yes I agree, we need to be much more clinical in front of goal, a bit like the Szobo chance versus United! Thank you for the support! 🫡👍

Fair point and definitely misspoke there! 👍
Two greedy players from Liverpool that's Diaz n salah.. That it
Both had a fair few wayward passes in the final 3rd, both had off days, especially Salah

Yeah the Forrest keeper did have a blinder but yes international breaks are the enemy I agree ha!
just making excuses
