Tiger won the 2019 masters, does that not mean he automatically qualified. Forgetting the other 14 major wins that give him well deserved exemptions.
So of the 15 LIV players that were included (whether on invitation or qualification) 10 have made the cut and one should unless he goes five over in the last two holes he has left in round two . Of the four that didn't make the cut, two would have auto qualified (Rahm and Mickelson). I suggest that means that they should be there.
I would suggest to the Masters they have a good look at their criteria for inviting golfers, but for the 3 other Majors, I think they should use the different tours own ranking systems...for instance the OWGR for PGA golfers and LIV's own ranking for LIV golfers etc.
Maybe top 60 ranked golfers on PGA, top 25 on LIV, top 20 on DP Tour, and then say the 10 top ranked golfers on Asian Tour, Australasian Tour and Sunshine Tour, and then the ex-champions and those with Major exemptions...something like that
Top 25 on LIV? There’s only 54 ish players. That’s almost half.
@@Playstation1235 Go have a look at the top 25 on LIV, see who they are, and comment on that after you have compared them to the golfers who actually were invited and played in the 2024 PGA Championship.
LIV golfers outside 25 that were invited:
- Lucas Herbert finished T43...currently 41 on LIV.
- David Puig didn't make cut...currently 43 on LIV
Major exemptions not under top 25
- Patrick Reed finished T53...currently 30 on LIV
- Martin Kaymer finished T73...currently 42 on LIV
- Phil Mickelson didn't make cut...currently 34 on LIV

@@ironsideeve2955 maybe use a calculator if you're struggling hey! With my formula you get to 135 golfers, and with Major-exemptions should get to around 150.
Except for the Master, 156 golfers start in the other 3 Majors...so how many lol's do I add now...?

Where have they talked crap about Tiger? They're right! Just cause its Tiger doesn't mean you should automatically get in. Invitations are a joke. If you dont qualify, you don't get it.
Mate when you’ve won 15 majors and over 80x world wide you give him the invitation and say nothing.
Well in the states, it's called freedom of speech, not sure if they're allowed to in the UK though :)
Tiger is a has-been and nothing more. He won't even make it on the seniors tour now...
@tommetcalfe2069 By your logic, in 30 years' time, there will be 40 odd invitations. Cause you'll have to invite Rory, 2 time winner, Scheffler if he keeps this up, Brooks, Speith, etc etc etc etc. Tiger is a legend of his time, but nobody is interested in watching him shoot 8 over and miss the cut. Time for the next generation
