- Welcome to another Flight Experience! Today we're flying on SWISS International Airlines across the Atlantic ocean from Zurich to New York JFK onboard an Airbus A330-300.
I had a very pleasant time onboard flight LX 16 to New York. The cabin crew were friendly and seemed to be enjoying their job, delivering a professional and attentive service throughout the flight, from the moment of boarding in Zurich until the arrival in New York. During the 8h+ flight, a hot meal (lunch), with two options for the main course, and a pre-arrival snack were served. A nice snack & drink bar was set in the rear galley during the central hours of the flight. In addition, the crew did frequent rounds with drinks keeping the passengers well hydrated. I also liked the traditional Swiss chocolate they offered towards the end of the flight. The hot towel service was also a nice and distinctive touch. The flight was fully booked and I couldn't get a window seat this time. I was disappointed to see that the fee for reserving a window seat was 30EUR anyway. That's not something you would expect from a full-service carrier like SWISS... Nevertheless, I tried my best to get a few shots from the window. The inflight entertainment seemed to have some nice selection of movies and TV Programmes, even though there could be more choices. The USB Port next to the entertainment screen is well appreciated. The seat was quite comfortable and the legroom was nice for a flight this long. Swiss provides a pillow and a blanket as well as some headphones for the IFE.

Wonder if SWISS has plans to update the cabin... The Cabin is looking quite dated and indeed of an upgrade - to maintain the SWISS Quality that they are know for.
Hey +longhaul293 :) I totally agree! I think they're already waiting for new aircraft replacements like with their new 777s, with a much better cabin and seat product, so I really question if there's any cabin refurbishment plans for their A330's. Thanks for your comment! Have a nice day

Hey skywide know what you said about not getting a window seat even though you paid for it, I suggest you take it tosocial media or complain to their customer service team to get compensation.
Hey Toni, firstly, thanks for your comment. Regarding the window seat thing, what I meant was that the fee for reserving a window seat was 30EUR, which in my opinion is way too expensive for being an airline like Swiss. I did not get a window seat because I decided not to pay that fee, even though my initial intention was to seat by the window. Anyway, you will get some fantastic window views on the upcoming Flight Experiences! Stay tuned haha
