We have all violated the spirit. of the law. Jesus said if you hate your neighbor you have murdered your neighbor in your heart and if you lust you have committed adultery in your heart. You cannot break just one of the 10 commandments because to break any other violated the first and second, having another god and making an idol. Before you kill your neighbor, rob him or commit adultery with their spouse you covet what is theirs. And you have made your desires a false god and idol.
God has given free choice. God is sovereign, it doesn't mean He causes everything so much as allows it. Jesus laid down His life to be killed, He didn't cause the killing, wicked ppl did the killing. It is likewise for most events. If however He has determined something, there's no way through or around it, God has determined the only way to God is through Jesus Christ. He has determined your existence, but He won't determine your choice to trust in or reject Him. He has determined that the righteous and the wicked will* be judged. I could go on but I think you get the point.
Destiny in the sense you are speaking, is just a buzzword. Our destiny is to die and face judgment... You could slip fall and die today, heartattack etc. A wild animal may take ur life, a stray bullet. Or God Himself may slay or spare you today. Controlling your destiny is a Disney fairy tale for ppl that don't think critically. Even you know u don't get to choose the cards ur dealt... You do however get to choose how u play ur hand, till of course u die. Every hand the has been dealt has Jesus for salvation or rejection. God will judge the rich the poor the big the small the mighty and the meek righteously. This day isn't promised, choose salvation in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 9:26-28 NASB Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And just as it is destined for people to die once, and after this comes judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
Don't confuse the 10 commandments and the old law are different. 613 laws in the old law and the old law was hung on the cross so we didn't have to follow it. Just so people do not get hung up on the old law, Hebrew roots stuff.
Does drinking one beer make you a alcoholic? Does lieing make you a dishonest person? If you stole something when a child does that make you thief? Worrying about the past is akin to digging up grave. Worrying about the future is akin to digging a grave. Conscience speaks when sin is recognized as harmful. Sin is anything but logical. When you're heart sings with Grace Your are what your born with (god love).
Hitler didn't have the conscience to tell him that killing Jews was wrong. So by your logic, then it's permissable...and he shouldn't worry about the past or be punished for it. So basically everyone is their own god, with their own rules. That's Satan worship! "Do as thou wilt" garbage Please repent. Ask Jesus into your heart and humble yourself. He will reveal himself to those who are humble, but not to the proud. Jesus said "sin no more."
The primary reason for "salvation" is salvation/rescue from the wrath of God, punishment for sin/wickedness, not the desire to go to heaven. Peter speaks of the gospel either being obeyed or not. The average unsaved person doesn't need to be convinced that they do wrong/sin, I speak from much experience witnessing, even witnessing to county jail inmates. Paul says Jesus told him to go to the Gentiles and his people and "turn them from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God" in Acts 26. Jesus never, when sent "only" to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, the national Israel, that they were going to heaven. He only describes coming for his disciples in John 14 just before his death/sacrifice. After Israel, under the laws of Moses and like covenant, rejected Jesus under the laws of Moses, which he was fulfilling, an entirely different covenant was then established, which was and is a gospel now given to mankind prior to the 70th week of years in Daniel 9. Paul gives a gospel that "presumes all of mankind to be sinners and anyone who believes in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of their sins is forgiven and saved from God's punishment for sin/wickedness and all that obtains in Christ according to the New Testament Epistles addressing the Body of Christ specifically, "...not under law but under grace.". When witnessing to the unsaved person one should give what Jesus says "through his disciples, Paul, Peter, John's Epistles, etc. Jesus directed them and they were led by the Holy Spirit according to the Scriptures. Believers do not seem to recognize the vast amount of differences between the Gospels and Epistles and what they are accounts of. Law and Grace, Laws of Moses covenant and new covenant, earthly people/nation and heavenly Body, earthly citizenship and heavenly citizenship, works of the laws of Moses for entering the kingdom of Heaven/God in the synoptics and transferred into the kingdom of the beloved of God upon being born again/saved, etc.
If you look upon your wife with lust, but not other women, would that be permissible as a married man? After meeting my wife, I forgot about looking at other woman (yes, it happens).
Look how nit picky and condemning Religion is and True LOVE of God is as follows Matthew 22: 37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
This is excellent. And I've been dying to ask this for a long time: how do you always keep your videos close to, if not exactly at, 11 minutes? I find that astounding.
This is like asking "when Santa comes, do you think you'll be on his naughty list, or his nice list". It's fairy stories for adults, folks, no matter what these money grubbing charlatans tell you while they pick your pocket.
Ya, except you leave out the part where Ray leads them right back to the law for salvation. “You gotta stop sinning. And then trust in Jesus like a parachute.” That’s not the gospel. That’s bringing them right back to square one.
So, tell me this... what do you say to those (in the flock) that say "I don't have the gift of evangelism" all whilst the congregation is depopulating? Pray that God would send one? Make disciples.
Praying for God to send an evangelist isn't wrong, but all true believers are responsible to preach the gospel. Point them to (Jesus speaking) Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." Jesus didn't say anything about bestowing a gift, He gave a commandment to go. There's also 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. He has given us all we need, but there's nothing wrong with learning from those who do it well and/or have the gift. All who are born-again believers are products of the 12 and their obedience to the Great Commission. What if they had said that they didn't have the gift and therefore were exempt from evangelizing? I shudder to think of that. I don't have the gift of evangelism, but that doesn't stop me from giving it my best and learning from those that do.
I prefer to lead by an example than to use many words... witnessing in the streets on a nearly daily basis, evangelising at every opportunity. They need to see with their own eyes that even a shy, socially-awkward woman like me can share the Gospel with confidence and passion. It is the Holy Spirit who gives me the courage, strength and knowledge of the Word. I could never do it on my own. But with the Lord by my side, there's nothing to be afraid of. You see, we Christians have to have the right attitude- the attitude of a warrior. We have to fight our fears, fight with all our might against the flesh. Evangelising is a skill, a process. You *will* make mistakes in the beginning. You *will* feel intimidated. You *will* meet people asking you questions you don't know the answer to. Keep going no matter what. Pick yourself up each and every time and do better the following day. 10 times down, 11 times up!
Study to show yourself approved by God and be ready in season and out of season to give an ANSWER for the hope that is in you. There are atheists that can look as if they live a Christian life as well as Mormons, Catholics, JW. We need to speak of the hope we have. Jesus could've just lived a perfect life and not said much, but He said plenty. People won't become believers because of how you live your life but because of the hope that us in you and that needs to be spoken.
It's funny that you would use a video of Ray Comfort from decades ago. He has a lot of current videos on his RUclips channel, Living Waters, and still proselytizes the exact same thing.
@@intothekey One could make that argument (I think Romans has a different point), but it still stands that Romans is not a book about how to do evangelism; it’s written to a congregation of people who are already believers.
@@AlexStock187 Romans breaks down the 4 Gospels + Acts and explains what sin is and who God is in a very simple way. It makes it very clear the role the law plays in helping us understand we're sinners so we understand our need for Jesus as pur Savior and calls for repentance. While Romans does address believers in particular and was addressed to the church originally Chapter 1-7 is very general and can be used to young and non Christians alike. It covers Jesus' sacrifice and defeat of death and more. It covers the Gospel entirely. I listened the first five chapters of Acts just to jog my memory. And at least for the chapters I listened to the subject material was the same. I'm having trouble understanding what the problem is. Acts actually doesn't go too deep into detail on what the apostilles talked about in the chapter I read. It's more focused on documenting events like miracles and persecution. And when it did go into detail is was exactly what was covered in Romans just in smaller bites like catching the end of a conversation.
@@intothekey Acts describes several examples of evangelization, and none of them are comparable to the so called “Romans Road.” I don’t dispute that Romans covers the broad sweep of things related to salvation. I’m disputing the claim in the video, namely that the way of preaching demonstrated in the video is the only way to evangelize. This cannot be the case because of all of the examples in Acts, none of them sound anything like what is presented in this video.
@@intothekey Do you know the historical circumstances that prompted Paul to write Romans? It is “general” to a degree, but it is not meant to be an abstract description of humanity. The early chapters are meant to show that neither Jews or Gentiles are better off than each other. The Emperor Claudius kicked all the Jews out of Rome until the year 54. The Roman Church was purely Gentile until then; when the Jewish Christians came back, there was conflict with the Gentile Christians. Hence Paul explaining that neither Jews nor Gentiles are free from sin, and hence Paul’s more pragmatic emphasis on the later chapters (such as dietary issues). It wasn’t written as an abstract systematic theology and manual for evangelization; it was written to inspire believers of differing convictions to work out their differences and serve Christ together.
This doesn’t scare in my opinion it’s sharing the truth. People choose if they want life or death. We have no way of knowing If all these people they talk to what they have chosen. (Life or Death)

if God is sovereign and in control of absolutely EVERYTHING, then what roles of a human control his/her destiny?
Hebrews 9:26-28 NASB
Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And just as it is destined for people to die once, and after this comes judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
Wretched allowing comments now? Whaaat?
Don't confuse the 10 commandments and the old law are different. 613 laws in the old law and the old law was hung on the cross so we didn't have to follow it. Just so people do not get hung up on the old law, Hebrew roots stuff.

Worrying about the past is akin to digging up grave.
Worrying about the future is akin to digging a grave.
Conscience speaks when sin is recognized as harmful.
Sin is anything but logical.
When you're heart sings with Grace
Your are what your born with (god love).
Hitler didn't have the conscience to tell him that killing Jews was wrong.
So by your logic, then it's permissable...and he shouldn't worry about the past or be punished for it.
So basically everyone is their own god, with their own rules. That's Satan worship! "Do as thou wilt" garbage
Please repent.
This video isn't religion, just laying out what the Bible says, so what are you trying to communicate?
I like watching these men share the gospel correctly and to the point.
This is excellent.
And I've been dying to ask this for a long time: how do you always keep your videos close to, if not exactly at, 11 minutes? I find that astounding.
I like it when another man covets my wife. Makes me feel good.
This video would’ve been so much better just showing the interviewee straight through.
Awesome videos praise God, but anyone else just surprisingly enjoy those humorous clips at the end?
People won't become believers because of how you live your life but because of the hope that us in you and that needs to be spoken.
can someone link this Ray Comfort Video for me please?
It's called hells best kept secret
It's funny that you would use a video of Ray Comfort from decades ago. He has a lot of current videos on his RUclips channel, Living Waters, and still proselytizes the exact same thing.
Where in the Book of Acts, the Scriptural account of how the inspired Apostles witnessed to people, do you see anything analogous to this?
I'm not sure about Acts but this approach has a lot of similarities to what's used in Romans.
Amen
What is this Protestant style of witnessing??? Attempting to Scare people into Salvation
This doesn’t scare in my opinion it’s sharing the truth. People choose if they want life or death. We have no way of knowing If all these people they talk to what they have chosen. (Life or Death)
@@jillianmathews3749 that's your opinion, but Protestant theology is based on fear tactics rather than love of God
@@alt-monarchist Which is wrong we trust and obey God because we love him not because we should be feared into loving him but yeah they do preach that but it’s wrong

Rey comfort only believes we need to follow 9 commandments because the 4th one no longer needs to be followed. Unfortunately that's not true at all.
