oh so pretty, February in July is fine! Why not. Oh I like how you show the pallet and then how you used it. Ooooo I love the one from Feb. 27. I can’t wait to see the next series. 😊
Glad you posted this one! Keeping track of exactly what shades used sounds impossible to me. Kudos! I love this series, please do show us what got used the last few months.
Many years ago, my mother was valiantly fighting the fog that dementia was bringing to her brain, and she needed an organization project that wouldn't overwhelm her, as her own household did. She had education and training as an artist and as an archivist, and was drawn to my eyeshadow palette collection - which was much smaller then than it is now. Palette by palette, she swatched each color on sheets of plain white paper, and labeled each sheet with the brand and name of the palette. She also labeled each color with its name (for those that had names), and put these pages in a binder notebook with a sheet of parchment between each page to avoid smearing the colors. When she got through with this sorting by palette, she started a second section of swatches in order by color shade and tone, and separated shimmer and metallic shades from mattes. While she wasn't able to finish this second section as her attention span melted away, I kept all the pages together in that binder and cherish that she believed she was helping me, even when she could no longer help herself. I've kept the binder all these years - she's been gone over 16 years now - and the trip back into her memory loss journey is sad but very rewarding for me. I wish I still had her, and I also wish I still had some of those palettes! I thought you might get a kick out of hearing how another artistic woman thought about makeup in such an organized fashion. Thank you for your inspiration, and hey - putting up a video a little late is better than not at all!
@MyCleverHandle your story brought a tear to my eyes. What a wonderful memory and so great that you have a tangible thing to hold on to from your mom. Thank you for sharing her with me. I actually love the idea of a swatch journal!
Hey Tina! 👋 You're not behind, my dear. Oh, no. With everyone doing Christmas in July videos, you're actually 2 months ahead! Stick THAT in your pipe and smoke it! (Or, rather, stick that in your pallet and swatch it! LOL) I just love neutral pallets and neutral looks, with or without a pop of color. I remember all these looks. I ❤ greens. I also love pinks with steely blue grays and all shades of grays. My favorite smokey eye of ALL TIME! Everyone looks great in pinks and grays, EVERYONE! YES WE WANT TO SEE! What kind of question is that?! LOL.........but true. Tfs, for being a wonderful example and teacher for my grandkids (and their friends) because you "asplain stuff so good", for inspiring and caring, and I'll see you soon 🌈 🌻 🤗 😘 🥰
In this video my favorite look on you was the sigma rendezvous. I'm amazed how many pretty looks you create though. You have a lot of eyelid space. I have a low brow and a deep set eye so not much lid shows. Most of the time I use one crease color and a very pale or bright lid shade and call it a day.
You've done so well! Love the wine accompaniment! The Be Mine is particularly lovely. I haven't really used my palettes this summer, but I will go back to them in the autumn. Have a great week ❤
@beautybydez I'm excited for the Syndney Graxce Christmas in July sale. Hoping to pick up something else lovely. I notices you are using shadow sticks a lot this summer. I have them, I just never reach for them. Abd I don't know why.
@@TinaHBeautifulJourney It's funny, I hadn't used them for so long yet they used to be my go-tos - and now I've gone back to them- it probably won't last 😉
You may remember that I did an eyeshadow declutter this year. It was eye opening lol. 😂 Anyway my smaller more curated collection is giving me so much pleasure. I'm using everything now. No matter what palette I reach for the look turns out great. One thing that surprised me was that my 2 high-end palettes really do look better on the eyes than my drug store choices. In fact I get compliments when I wear them. I have a Natasha denona a 5 pan and a Laura Geller face palette. One is golden and one is taupe. I got them at a thrift store for 5 dollars each brand new. What a score! I'm a drugstore girlie and almost all of my palettes are that price point, and I'm still not sure high-end is worth the money, I'm making sure I get good use on my expensive palettes even though I got them on a good bargain.
@pajamamama5965 that's great! And yes, after decluttering my lipsticks, I've been enjoying my smaller collection so much. I'm actually considering getting rid of more!
@@TinaHBeautifulJourney Oh wow! If you do another lipstick declutter could you show that too? Maybe you could do a chopping block series. The important thing to me are this watches and the comparisons between what you have similarities and which ones are worth the money
I don't know if you want my 2 cents worth but after you've opened the "vault" and decluttered or while decluttering, I'd love to see a comparison swatching &/or comparison looks of your "very similar" pallets. To see if they're both worth keeping or not. 🤔 I hope that was understandable. 😮
I enjoyed this video. However I know with your monetization journey you're wanting to put out videos that would be popular. What I really want to see is your pulling everything out of the vault and decluttering. But only if you feel that's worth filming. If you're only decluttering a handful, it wouldn't be as exciting, because we already got to look at most of your palettes. So if you're only letting go of 5, then I wouldn't bother honestly. You have a lot of gorgeous palettes, I'm sure it would be hard to let them go. If I were you, I would put it all into 1 video and start with the May/June uses. Title it eyeshadow declutter, and end with you opening the vault, talking about which ones you missed the most and put them directly into a keep pile. Then all the ones that are on the chopping block Go in one another pile. Then end with the actual declutter and why. I always watch these things because I really want to know how the quality compares to each other. I hope that helps
@pajamamama5965 that's a good idea. I'll have to so a preview and see how many I would get rid of to see if that' would get rid of enough to nakenit worth it. My eyeshadow declutter is my most popular video on my channel.
@@TinaHBeautifulJourney Oh that's interesting. Good idea to do the preview. I've seen declutters where people don't get rid of anything and then it's not actually a declutter so it's misleading. They should call it a swatch party or see my collection type of video to be truthful.
Oh my goodness! I am laughing about your "Get out of jail free" cards and rescuing palates from the palate vault! Too funny!

Ok! I've got some ideas of how to do it so it doesn't get impossibly long and hopefully stays interesting.

🤗😊💖 thanks, Myrna. It makes me so happy to know you and your girls are watching.
So happy you decided to post this video anyway... I LOVED the intro!!!!!
Thanks, Leanna!
Great update! Whatever ypu decide to do will work for me 😊
Thanks, Michelle!

@pajamamama5965 thabk you! That palette was a gift in friend mail and I love it. I'm excited to get all my palettes back in rotation again.
@@TinaHBeautifulJourney I bet! I'm sure you miss them. This was a good exercise though and I'm sure you've learned a lot
Hi Tina! Pretty looks with all these palettes. My two favorite were the Zeesea and Milani(you know I love the neutrals!)
Thanks, Tina. I do use my neutral palettes more than the others. But love color occasionally too.
