The nuts thing about Jimmy Eat World is that PRINCE even covered one of their songs live, 'The Middle'. You should do that one of theirs next

This song was on EAs NHL 2003 and 10yr old me couldn't get enough of it lol my music taste has changed greatly from that time but everytime I hear this song, it brings back memories of a simpler time and one of my favorite games of all time.

If you want to know how big these guys were/still are, they currently have 10,000,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, the same number as Rage Against The Machine who are absolutely massive.
This song is one of those rare pop rock gems that pretty much everyone loves but not everyone will admit it.
This song is definitely cool in its own right, but their catalog is SO deep. 23 is a an absolute gem, so is let it happen and a praise chorus.

This song is peak middle school for me, lol. I remember having this song burned on to a cd with a bunch of anime opening themes and Blink 182 songs. If you enjoyed this, I highly recommend checking out a live version of "Goodbye Sky Harbor", one of the best songs they've ever written!
This is off the album Bleed American. The album has a bunch of great tracks including The Middle, Bleed American, and Get It Faster.

This is their second biggest song after the Middle. Their Clarity, Bleed American, and Futures albums are great listens. Check out "Kill"

this band was EVERYWHERE in the early 2000s. on every late night, all over the radio. but judging by the comments here, they've been largely forgotten about already, which is so sad, and god im so old.

Pop punk? I'd say the term power pop fits this sound much better. I'd guarantee you've heard their biggest hit, The Middle, at least once. That song got overplayed to hell and back. Personally, I'd much rather hear your thoughts on Futures, Something Loud, or my 2nd favorite JEW song after this one, Lucky Denver Mint. IIRC, they got their name from a drawing made by the lead singer's kid brother.
Another power pop group you need to get around to is Mae. I've never heard one song from them I didn't immediately love. STRONGLY recommend checking out Someone Else's Arms, Sometimes I Can't Make it Alone and Summertime

I first heard this song (although it was a slightly different mix, and there were quite a few mixes of this song) on a car drifting video called the Ruch Montage from back in like 2003/2004 I think. Great video (although most of the footage is standard definition and not great quality).

"They had a video for it, it was probably pushed at some point" - very relevant comment! I'm pretty sure this song is about how the band were pouring their heart into the music but their previous record company just weren't interested, and all they wanted to do was escape from the contract so they could move forward. This album was the first release with the new label, and they definitely pushed it harder!

def check out the track Bleed American, the title track of the album that had Sweetness on it. The album dropped a month or so before 9\11 and was actually pulled and the title removed before re-releasing because well... bad timing.
