I am so disgusted by the way these scammers yell and swear at what they believe are vulnerable elderly people. Knowing that an older woman in Texas lost everything and took her own life as a result gives me zero sympathy for any justification they might have for doing this. It's just plain evil.
It does not matter wheter someone killed themself over this scam or that they lost everything - even the simple act of scamming people for a living (regardless of whther they have remorse or not) does not deserve any sympathy at all;) EDIT: the meaning of this sentence is: "those scammers do not deserve any sympathy for their actions, even if they did not cause any deaths or prompted anyone to kill themselves" - of course it is terrible if someone loses their life over a scam. Frankly it would be worse if a young person full of potential got scammed, lost everything and got in debt, than an elderly person that already had a beautiful, long and fruitful life:)

I agree with you that scammers are heartless idiots that deserve all the misfortunes they have brought themselves in life. But to put a younger persons life over an older persons is just wrong. That is also why - regarding the terrible and disgusting war in Ukraine, a death of a young soldier - from any side of the conflict - that merely served their country (under the presumption of innocence that such a person did not commit a crime or did not go there for "adventure" or to simply "kill someone"), is much more painful and more sad to me, than a death of an elderly person. We are humans, yes....but that does not mean that statistics and rational thinking is not important - it is.

Most of them aren't stupid, there are so many reasons why a person might be vulnerable to a scam: they may have dementia or Alzheimer's, they may have had a dysfunctional upbringing or may experience abuse on a daily basis (domestic, carer), they may be simply unaware of scams like that. Kitboga is really pushing the scammers to their limits, most scammers don't go to this extreme anger stage with other people.

As a customer service rep I was screamed at for 45 minutes today and I couldn't even say 'please calm down'. I couldn't get a word in trying to explain so I just stopped talking. He then started saying 'are you there'? The worst thing I could say was 'I was just waiting for you to finish'. I'd be fired if I got snarky let alone screamed at someone like this. You'd think they'd treat people with excellent customer service but instead they scream. It's the biggest red flag it's a scam.

@@theview3714 They make them feel like a thief for stealing the money, and so the elderly people are trying to protect their honor as an honest person and "return" the "extra money" that they got. It's a really effective script against non technical, honest people.

People think that scambaiting is easy but scammers know how to tell when most people try to scambait them pretty quickly. Being able to keep these guys on for hours is a real talent that involves a lot of improv skills.
Part of that I think is because Scambaiters are also making them extremely paranoid and on edge to the point that they'll suspect even the slightest thing to be someone wasting their time. If it means they mistake real victims for fake ones though, that is good at least.
Does anyone know what software kit uses when he goes scambaiting? I used to use bobrtc but that no longer exists and I'd love a way to call and waste some scammer's time.

Serves the scammers right. They really cause a lot of distress to elderly or anyone who is bullied into falling for their threats and lies and losing their life savings, etc. This can result in their losing their homes and have no where to turn, so they sadly commit suicide. Very sad.

How many times did Kit give him chances to move forward. That’s the most unbelievable part of this. Kit would ask “so should I go to the target store?” And the loser scammer would not answer him. This would just entice Kit to wind him up more. What a loser.
Think of it this way; the scammer is thinking in Bengali while talking in english. He can read the script fine but this causes problems with improving on the spot. I had a technician working with me years ago from China with terrible english (makes these scammers look like poets). He told me his verbal and written english was around grade 2. I never pretended to understand him when I didn't and over the years his english comprehension improved. Kit is doing wonders for their english practice.

The first step in the scam is convincing the victim to install remote desktop software on their own computer and give control to the scammer, then open their online banking website on the compromised PC while the scammer is controlling it
Quiet for one second: HELLOOO?!?! passive aggressive and insulting and threatening: still expects complete compliance and obedience. How do they expect others to just not flip them off and never answer their calls again
You should find a location in the middle of nowhere so you can't "go buy" gift cards because there's no stores around. Alternatively, when you "drive" to a Target/Dollar Tree/Walmart -- tell them it's closed because there was a bee infestation or something silly like rampaging elephants or mystic cows blocking the entrance.
I wonder how many stores he could pretend were closed before the scammer got too suspicious or gave up. "Looks like Walmart is closed while pest control are there, let me head to Target. Oh man, Target has a burst pipe and is flooded, I'll go to Dollar Tree instead. Ah gee, you'll never believe this, Dollar Tree is on fire right now." 😂

Funny thing is, in their country, "I can't go because there is a cow blocking the road" would be a legitimate excuse. They cannot move the cow either because it is sacred.
This guy's brain is like a bad AI. When he asks "would you like me to deposit the money in your checking or your savings account?" he wants you to answer verbatim "I would like you to deposit the money in my checking account" with no extra words and no words missing, and if you deviate even slightly from his programming, he becomes instantly hostile and furious. It's wild to think that he could ever successfully scam anyone with such a bafflingly hostile attitude towards anyone who doesn't perfectly adhere to the script that he expects them to know. I just wonder how he's able to keep people from hanging up on him when he screams and swears at them for deviating from his precisely preferred diction.
There’s definitely been a couple guys on this channel who I’m so sure are barely functional alcoholics and so they literally have no brainpower to spare for anything beyond the bare, brute force minimum.
The first time I heard the phrase 'checking account' I literally didn't know what it meant. It isn't a phrase in the UK. Imagine scammer screaming "Do you even speak English, a-hole?" when you don't understand a phrase that isn't in your lexicon.
Part of the scam is having the victim mentally recall the balance of one account and not the other. That strict questioning was fir that reason and they were intentionally played by receiving a vague answer.

There was one moment where kit slipped up but “Steve’s brother” didn’t catch it , when “Chris” was supposed to be driving to the store when kit was having issues with his computer for real, he actually told the scammer “ there’s something wrong with my computer” lol but the scammer didn’t catch it, if the scammer was on his game he would have known he can’t be on his computer when he’s supposed to be on the way to the store. How is it not obvious to you guys and kit that these guys are hopped up drugs, probably cocaine, which makes them this irritable and unreasonable, combined with the fact that after it was apparent that the "old man" couldn't understand what the scammers were telling him to do, the scammers gave up on continuing the scam and just used him to vent their anger, expecting him to hang up the call. When kit does talk to scammers as himself, they frequently say that people in the call center are using drugs, and you can even hear them smoking and snorting it sometimes
Well they are multilingual and trying to scam someone in English, which isn't really their native tongue. Most Americans (75%) can only speak one language so they're probably lower on the IQ spectrum, to be fair.
They would give away the scam if they mentioned Kit or other scambaiters to an actual elderly person. So, it is a good thing to get them so wound up. It'd only make them wonder if each person they are talking to is Kit.

Howver, i have to completely disagree with the second part. It's not only necessary to place higher value on younger lives, it's rational. But for the sake of humanity, children and young people are much more important - regardless of whether you or anyone else say something about "equality of importance of human lives". God forbid, If i had to choose an option, whether to let ten 90 year olds live, or one 9 year old child, i would not hesitate one moment, and i'd choose the child (of course, provided that the child has no terminal illness or something like that:)), because not only i'd most likely save more "years" of life, i'd also give the child the chance to have their own family, and to contribute to the world.
That is also why - regarding the terrible and disgusting war in Ukraine, a death of a young soldier - from any side of the conflict - that merely served their country (under the presumption of innocence that such a person did not commit a crime or did not go there for "adventure" or to simply "kill someone"), is much more painful and more sad to me, than a death of an elderly person. We are humans, yes....but that does not mean that statistics and rational thinking is not important - it is.

Most of them aren't stupid, there are so many reasons why a person might be vulnerable to a scam: they may have dementia or Alzheimer's, they may have had a dysfunctional upbringing or may experience abuse on a daily basis (domestic, carer), they may be simply unaware of scams like that. People think that scambaiting is easy but scammers know how to tell when most people try to scambait them pretty quickly. Being able to keep these guys on for hours is a real talent that involves a lot of improv skills.

Think of it this way; the scammer is thinking in Bengali while talking in english. He can read the script fine but this causes problems with improving on the spot.
I had a technician working with me years ago from China with terrible english (makes these scammers look like poets). He told me his verbal and written english was around grade 2. I never pretended to understand him when I didn't and over the years his english comprehension improved.

Yes, they can see the balance on screen. The first step in the scam is convincing the victim to install remote desktop software on their own computer and give control to the scammer, then open their online banking website on the compromised PC while the scammer is controlling it

You should find a location in the middle of nowhere so you can't "go buy" gift cards because there's no stores around. Alternatively, when you "drive" to a Target/Dollar Tree/Walmart -- tell them it's closed because there was a bee infestation or something silly like rampaging elephants or mystic cows blocking the entrance.

This guy's brain is like a bad AI. When he asks "would you like me to deposit the money in your checking or your savings account?" he wants you to answer verbatim "I would like you to deposit the money in my checking account" with no extra words and no words missing, and if you deviate even slightly from his programming, he becomes instantly hostile and furious. It's wild to think that he could ever successfully scam anyone with such a bafflingly hostile attitude towards anyone who doesn't perfectly adhere to the script that he expects them to know. I just wonder how he's able to keep people from hanging up on him when he screams and swears at them for deviating from his precisely preferred diction.

There’s definitely been a couple guys on this channel who I’m so sure are barely functional alcoholics and so they literally have no brainpower to spare for anything beyond the bare, brute force minimum.
The first time I heard the phrase 'checking account' I literally didn't know what it meant. It isn't a phrase in the UK. Imagine scammer screaming "Do you even speak English, a-hole?" when you don't understand a phrase that isn't in your lexicon.
Part of the scam is having the victim mentally recall the balance of one account and not the other. That strict questioning was fir that reason and they were intentionally played by receiving a vague answer.

^ agreed. My understanding is that most scam call centers are pretty hierarchical and only the guys at the very top actually make much money. The average callers don't make much money at all. I'm sure it's a soul-sucking "occupation"

There was one moment where kit slipped up but “Steve’s brother” didn’t catch it , when “Chris” was supposed to be driving to the store when kit was having issues with his computer for real, he actually told the scammer “ there’s something wrong with my computer” lol but the scammer didn’t catch it, if the scammer was on his game he would have known he can’t be on his computer when he’s supposed to be on the way to the store. Lol keep up the great work Kit!!!

It’s just COMPLETELY free content. Even when you provide these guys with a sufficient answer they complete lose their minds and curse and freak out. God it’s amazing.

How is it not obvious to you guys and kit that these guys are hopped up drugs, probably cocaine, which makes them this irritable and unreasonable, combined with the fact that after it was apparent that the "old man" couldn't understand what the scammers were telling him to do, the scammers gave up on continuing the scam and just used him to vent their anger, expecting him to hang up the call.
When kit does talk to scammers as himself, they frequently say that people in the call center are using drugs, and you can even hear them smoking and snorting it sometimes

There's nothing to 'look for' besides the voice mod Kit uses. These 'people' could be 99% sure it's a scambaiter and they'll spend 40 hours trying to get money because they are cockroaches.
I find it pretty funny that there is a framed needlework over the fireplace that says DO NOT REDEEM. I remember an episode where a scammer was screaming NO NO NO because a gift card was redeemed instead of reading the gift card code to the scammer. It was hysterical. 🤣🤣🤣
