@Ebikes Repair I recently bought a replacement battery for my mantis Is there a specific way the battery is connected to the controller ? Or it doesn’t matter which battery cable you connect to controller? I don’t want to short the battery or controller 😢
I think it doesn't matter. Which connector goes to which controller - verify polarity with a multimeter first. Be careful though as I had a bad controller and connected the battery and the xt60 disintegrated all over my hands and burned me!
I just replaced my controller, all works well. but i am now having trouble placing the controller inside the compartment to line up the screws. Its like the new wiring is stiff af and doesnt allow room for the controller to be seated properly inside. All wires are thru hole and squashed up next to battery. Any advice?

Hi i have 1 off these scooters. It charges perfect. Turns on runs then knocks off till plugged back into charge. Same cycle again .. any ideas on problem
I just put a new controller on this and it doesn't run but turns on. Is there a safety switch to have this running. I dont want to put it all back if theres something wrong
Hi there, I've got a mantis 10 pro and I'm seeing many different ones for sale. Which one(controller) would I need? I see different specs 60v 27A or 60v 30A etc..
can you tell me why my mantis 10 pro with minimotors controller same like this have more torque in eco mode than in turbo 3rd gear mine is with flashlight version 4
@@EbikeRepairs yes in turbo the speed increases i had a problem with the front motor going half power the seller made something with the controller and didn't want to tell me what was the problem but from then i miss the torque which i had now its gone
@@EbikeRepairs in eco there is slight delay in acceleration when i hit the throttle and torque kicks in note that it was other way turbo mode had a beast torque and eco not that much torque now is opposite
Is it the same for the Mantis 10 pro? :) my back motor stopped working showing e10 on the display and i should be the controller to the display there is a problem

@@EbikeRepairs yes mate when I held the power button on my old screen it made a little noise , I’ve replaced the screen and it works spot on now . Must have shortened out somewhere and blew my screen 👍 thanks for your help anyhow
Is it normal to replace those controllers so often? My scooter is 1 year old and im just about to buy my 3rd controller for replacement

I agree, it was a nightmare. I had to put the light wires down the sides of the frame holes where they go, but further in, if that makes sense.

This one was £140 I think, direct from minimotors store (or whatever it was called) on elixpress 🤞

I have a mantis 10, when I spin the wheels and pull the throttle the wheels stop abruptly, any advice?
Sounds like a controller issue, sadly... You could try disconnecting the brake cutoffs though.

Unplug brake connectors first, if that doesn't work then unfortunately you're probably going to be replacing your controller

Sounds like a bad cells group in the battery pack
cant you waterproof it? with silicone and plastic bag maybe?

In turbo does the speed increase? Maybe eco and turbo are round the wrong way

Sounds like a bad controller - worth swapping for another they can be had for about £140 if you are happy to wait for shipping
Any ideas if I can change to better control minimotors sick replacing 3rd time now

Is it one controller for both motors? I thought there are two controllers, one for each motor.
There are two flavours I believe, one with two separate controllers - and one with the dual controller built into a single housing.

When you plug the controller to red and black main wires do they pop ? Make a bang noise ?
Yes they do the inrush current to the capacitors can cause a pop/spark.

Quite easily! the front controller panel appears ti be not sealed at all - neither is the controller itself.
Lucky you don’t blow your fingers off with all the rings and crap on your fingers
