I will forever be thankful to Dr Dray for teaching me the importance of wearing (and reapplying!) sunscreen. It's like my skin stopped aging the day I started using sunscreen.
Seriously!!! I haven’t gotten sunburned since I learned this. I literally thought it was once and done. Omg! My poor skin! I haven’t even tanned either. You would think it’d b common sense since it even says it on the bottle but I guess common sense isn’t so common 🫠
I fell into the hype around La Mer and SK II, and spent an obscene amount of money but after some knowledge bombs from Dr. Dray… I have reformed. 😂 not worth the hype. Dr Dray is correct in that there is a variety of products that are equal or better and at a dramatically reduced price point.
If only I could get back the thousands of dollars I wasted on so many worthless products that smelled good and had pretty glass packaging. I try to practice not being regretful, but damn, what a waste.
I'm in China where SK II reigns king, but even here, local estheticians (who are trained to approach skin care differently then western estheticians) caution some people against it because they say it's a "美白" product ("beautiful white", sorta between actual whitening and brightening) and so will cause dehydration and irritation.
My favorite Costco skincare products are the Cetaphil gentle cleanser, cetaphil moisturizer cream, and dove fragrance free soap! They are on sale up to July 24th too! Awesome deal!
Speaking of facial cleansing wipes, just watched a video of Kim K demonstrating her new SKKN by Kim skincare line (out of pure curiosity, no way I would even consider purchasing . . . Dr Dray groupies know better), AND GUESS WHAT: yep, the 1st step in her routine was to use a cleansing WIPE, which is not part of her line, to remove her makeup. OMG! $600+ for the 9-piece set but 1st you have to use a CLEANSING WIPE that is not part of the collection . . . 🤔😵💫🥴
I LOVE the Bum Bum cream and the scent! It’s so good by itself and layered with many other fragrances. Really curious about the dupe. Can’t beat that price!
@@phillyjilly The dupe doesn't quite have the same scent...it's not as strong, but still smells nice and it's a good moisturizer, too. I like it well enough.
I got the dupes and maybe it was a bad batch but it was way heavier texture and more like thick shea butter from body works 🤷♀️ I don’t hate it but don’t reach for it as much
The "Wet brush" is a very very good brush. I use it dry & wet, and it's awesome for combing out my hair pre-wash, and then detangling post-wash. Love it to bits. It is so gentle it will skip over a true knot, so be aware of that. It is really gentle on the scalp but you still have to "hold your hair" when you brush.
@@amixeblu my favorite is the one that says pro and is contoured & vented. It fits beautifully and kind of hugs the shape of the scalp when brushing. I've gifted lots of the wet brush. Love 'em!

My husbands grandfather used colloidal silver until it turned his skin blue and he almost died. He survived and dedicated the rest of his life to ministering to hospitalized patients. He was known as the man with the blue skin among all the hospital staff around our city, including myself. Thanks for the shout out against colloidal silver and the health hazards it presents. Love all your skin care advice!
I love the shop with me videos! 😊 Also since you mentioned the Brazilian bum bum cream, I can say that I’ve used it but it does nothing for cellulite. I prefer Jan Marini’s CelluliTx for that. Hope you have a great day, Dr. Dray! 💖
I add unflavored, powdered gelatin to my hot coffee each morning. I mix it in with a handheld milk frother - this is an important step to help it fix well. The gelatin helps my nails for sure, and I think it helps my skin. (I have Ulcerative Colitis, so I have weird skin issues.) My GP doctor says her arthritic patients drink gelatin too. It seems to help me, and it’s not that expensive either. Definitely not a cure for any problem, but I’m enjoying stronger nails :)
I love the original Bum Bum Cream - and it's all for the scent! It will literally last until you wash it off. The cream is nice, but the scent is why you get it. I get asked what it is when I wear it by friends and just random people! It's crazy.
9:31 Dr Dray speaking my language. I used to be SUCH a Korean skincare blind follower believing with full conviction that it will fix my hyperpigmentation. Low and behold my dermatologist on our first session diagnosed me with PCOS. So since then I've cleaned up my routine and just do my Cetaphil cleanser and moisturiser / treclin and spf50 sunblock. No major improvements but the point is that I was spending a horrendous amount of money to buy Korean lotions and potions. Yes they have pretty packaging, yes some of them work (meh) but you do not NEED it. From someone convinced k-beauty was the only way.💖 Work with smart products with minimal active ingredients because heck I didn't realise I was breaking out because I had TOO MUCH going on.
The original Bum Bum cream doesn't even moisturize as well as another cream i use (LRP Lipikar AP+, amazing stuff anywhere on face or body), but i CANNOT RESIST the scent, and the perfume/spray just doesn't convey that pistachio-butter-floral fragrance as wonderfully as the cream. I sometimes just use it in lieu of perfume. Also, their shampoo from that line has been surprisingly great on my hair. Extremely low-maintenance here- i don't use a hairdryer, no conditioner, no leave-ins. But the Sol de Janiero shampoo leaves my hair soft, no dandruff, and it's got that lovely original scent.
I love your honesty when talking about products to keep use from wasting our money. You made me giggle when you said "what do I know"? Thankfully you know a lot and we benefit from your experience and education 💚
After 6 months of Chemo last year, the only moisturizer I can use is that extra dry Cetaphil in the tub. It also saves me a ton of money vs. all the Sephora options I tried along the way. I’m hooked on my giant ugly tubs of Costco Cetaphil now. 😂

Lookin' good Dr Dray! I was hoping you were going to try the Brazilian Bum Bum cream and the Costco Brand! I do use the Brazilian (I love the scent) and wondered how the Costco Brand compared.
I tried both the Costco dupe and the original Brazilian cream, and its not an exact dupe. The dupe scenft lasts just as long as the original which I like, but the dupe has a little bit more of a "perfume"/ powdery scent than the og. definitely worth the price tho for how much cheaper it is, and the scent is close enough to the original to pair with the perfume
I noticed online they have a 2 pack of the Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel Cream, fragrance free. It was a good price, but waiting for a sale on it. As an avid outdoors person, I hate all of the chemical bug repellents. I don’t know what’s in it, but the best bug repellant is Avon’s Skin So Soft. I know that that’s not what Avon wants it to be known for but it works for me. I always enjoy your shop with me videos. Especially when its at Costco! I received the Bum Bum cream in a beauty subscription box several years ago and absolutely hated it. Unpopular opinion, I know. I ended up giving it away. Happy Monday, Dr Dray! Hope you have a peaceful evening. ❤
I bought the deep wood mosquito repellent since I'm prone to getting bit by mosquitos but I unfortunately made the mistake of not taking off my sandals when spraying this on the first time i used it. It worked great but the black leather in my sandals was bleeding really bad and stained my feet. It took quite a bit to scrub it off when i was in the shower and definitely learned my lesson to take them off and rub in the repellent before putting my sandals back on.

I also purchased a nice eye cream at the Dollar Tree. It’s called Global Beauty Care Lift and Firm eye cream. It’s 1/2 an ounce. Not greasy. Absorbs nicely. I use it under my concealer.
I use Cerave cream to foam cleanser. It is by far more gentle than even the hydrating cleanser and is better at removing makeup. I still do a double cleanse, though. There's something about a foaming action for me that helps to wash away the dirt.

Then I use a balm from CeraVe and the cream to foam cleanser at night and the Cetaphil hydrating cleanser in the morning and my skin never gets dry anymore. Now I do use Trentinoin at night and azelaic acid and vitamin c in the morning with sunscreen. My skin is silky smooth
Cerave moisturizer in the tub has changed the dry skin on my legs be a thing of the past , I live in Falkland BC Canada and we have all 4 seasons and my skin is dry . Their gel cleanser is my 2nd cleanse and my skin loves it , my first is Clinique TTDO . Thanks for your time and effort that you put into your videos for us.
I've used the Dr Denese day cream and really liked it except that it would get on my clothes. It gave a nice light coverage though which I liked and I have sensitive skin with having lupus and no issues with irritation.
Dove soap is a syndet bar, you get through it "like that". Whereas you still have bar soap made with lye (my Aldi & Lidl generic brand). And they last longer when you use them.
Hi! I had some stinging from de cerve mosturizing cleanser on my face. It was wierd bc I never get reactions from cleansers (normal/mosturizing type). Now I use the Uriage Xemose cleanser and I love it (and good price for the amount you get!). Love your videos! Love from Chile!
Cera ve creams have ceteareth-20 and cetearyl alcohol as a combo which together are so high on the comodegenic scale. :( It gives me breakouts and their cleansers do too. lt burns so badly for me and I always breakout with their products and made my skin burn and itchy. So it's Cetaphil and the LRP lipikar balm for me :D
I finally tried the cerave moisturizer in the tub and didn't like it. To me, it had no slip or glide. And it wasn't moisturizing enough. I have also tried the aveeno body lotion and didn't like the feel of it either.
I find that both Cerave and Cetaphil hydrating washes are NOT hydrating enough for me. I do love both in the tub for moisturizer BuT I use LaRoche Posey wash for super dry skin.
I went to Costco last week and grabbed both the multipack of the Cetaphil Cleanser and Moisturizing cream, each for $15! What a great deal, I’m set for months!
Hi Dr. Dray! It just dawned on me that you don’t do grocery hauls anymore. As a fellow vegan I really appreciated those. Do you think you’ll ever bring them back?
I use Cerave body moisturizer and lotion cleanser. Great results with both. I really like the body moisturizer because it absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy. Thx for your great content and advice…

I've used the Dr Denese day cream and really liked it except that it would get on my clothes. It gave a nice light coverage though which I liked and I have sensitive skin with having lupus and no issues with irritation.
Happy Monday Dr Dray...see you tomorrow x💙🤩

So much fun shopping with you.😊
Dove soap is a syndet bar, you get through it "like that".
Yasss! Thanks, Doc! I’ve been waiting for Costco ♥️
Your skin is glowing and beautiful!
Yah! New shop with me video! ❤️ You’re looking lovely, Dr. Dray! :)
Omg I’m so exited about this !! I used to buy this from Sephora yay
I'm a fellow Texan and I love your videos Dr. Dray! Love the Hello Kitty brush set too! :)
@Dr Dray would love for you to review the new Cerave cleansing balm . Happy Monday!
Thanks for the consistent uploads, I love your knowledge.
She doesn't believe in the comedogenic scale..it's bullocks..
Yes cerave cleanser and moisturisers sting like hell 🇬🇧🙏
I finally tried the cerave moisturizer in the tub and didn't like it. To me, it had no slip or glide. And it wasn't moisturizing enough. I have also tried the aveeno body lotion and didn't like the feel of it either.
Banana Boat Sport also comes in SPF 100 which doesn't contain fragrance
Your skin looks really pretty, very glowy 😊
I find that both Cerave and Cetaphil hydrating washes are NOT hydrating enough for me. I do love both in the tub for moisturizer BuT I use LaRoche Posey wash for super dry skin.
Dry brush, Basis soap, Nutrogena Hydrooost Body Gel, CereVe Moisturizing Cream. BOOM!!!! Velvet skin.
I went to Costco last week and grabbed both the multipack of the Cetaphil Cleanser and Moisturizing cream, each for $15! What a great deal, I’m set for months!
I bought the Dr. Denese tinted sunscreen. It seems to be hydrating.
Love & Appreciate you Dr. Dray!!!
Ever tried Guarana Antarctica? One of the most famous sodas from Brasil, they have a zero sugar version!
your skin looks amazing. Love skin care posts
Hi Dr. Dray! It just dawned on me that you don’t do grocery hauls anymore. As a fellow vegan I really appreciated those. Do you think you’ll ever bring them back?
Have you checked out the Chef AJ channel? She's vegan and also has plant based doctors on her channel.
@@db-gb5xi Yeah, I’m familiar with Chef AJ and her plant-based doctor friends. I’ve learned a lot from them!
LOVE the BumBum cream!!!!
Love your video. Thanks for going to Costco.
I use Cerave body moisturizer and lotion cleanser. Great results with both. I really like the body moisturizer because it absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy. Thx for your great content and advice…
I'm going to try it. 😊
I love that hairbrush set, wish they had it on Amazon 😩
I had old Cerave in my travel bag and fell in love again with that formula. I have the new too but cannot use it more than a week at a time.
happy Monday all xo

Would love a video on asian sunscreens that are also water resistant. Seems harder than I thought to find good candidates. Thanks for all the information you put out there...really a gold mine here.
I used to love Ceramide but for the past few months My skin can’t tolerate it. After use my skin burns, stings and gets itchy. I’m going to give Cetaphil a try.
Happy Monday :)
