Having watched my father slowly fade away with Alzheimer’s, then listening to my religious brother blab on, and his cult church belief, it’s like this song was written especially for me.
Such a powerful song! I have never heard of her until this was played at the end of an episode of Yellowstone and I loved it!

Saw her perform this sitting on a hay bale at the Kate Wolf festival at age 30. I’m 46 now and this song is more meaningful to me each year. Thanks Mary.
I learned of her 25 years ago from the 6 foot 2 Christian girl asigned to my highschool girlfriend's college dorn. She identified so much with tbe 1st two albums and I've followed ever since.
