Exceptional information. This goes beyond what other creators teach and is just what I had been looking for. Thank you for this great opportunity to learn from a true artisan.
This was awesome. As someone starting leathercraft, I feel like you saved me hours of practice and discovering things for myself, so thank you for that. Would love a tutorial for the edge finishing as well.
Not only is this tutorial extremely informative and easy to follow but the quality of your craftmanship is clearly a cut above the rest! I aspire to level one day. Thank you for the videos!
One year ago, I watched this video and leave comments, today, I watched it again, I learned more details than first time! Still the best tutorial I’ve ever seen, please consider edge paint tutorial or any other tutorial, you’re really talented 🎉 it maybe not the highest views video, but must be the most interactive and value one🤍 Thanks again for making these beautiful videos !!!
Thank you sooo much! I hope this will be the guide to getting the best saddle stitches 🙏🏻 if enough peoples and subscribers want the other tutorials, I'll keep summing up the other basics!😉
I thank you for posting this great tutorial. I have been 3d printing for about 5 years and I would like to blend the two crafts together. I watch your videos over and over again each time picking up ideas and feeling your love to your craft. Thanks John Toronto Canada
Fantastic advice thank you for this clear and useful information. The key to all this is not Rocket Science but a simple common factor in pretty much all things - Practice makes perfect! Understanding why things happen the way they do is also key.
Thank you very much for this, it is a really professional tutorial. My stitches improved a lot after practicing your tips especially on thin leather. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Please continue with this tutorial series. It's a real pleasure to watch you work.
I've bought some tutorial before, BUT, this one is the best I've ever watched👏, very clear and useful, please do more tutorials! Can't wait for the edge paint pro-tips from you!!! (and Hello from Taiwan!👋

Thanks a lot! I'll consider those tips for beginners and even for pros that have no idea how to get the right results😉 hope you enjoyed all of my projects as well!

I love your work, it's absolutely beautiful, I have a question if you don't mind me asking, do you use a " fil au chinois" 832 for your saddle stitching ? Have a great day !
Thank you so much! For that kind of small sized irons, 832 is the way to go and if we use bigger irons, that threads should be thicker as the irons size goes up 😉
Many thanks :) because it has not been that popular with the audience, we didn't plan the next one yet. But, maybe if the audience likes it a lot, we'll edit more tutorials soon ;)
I'd love to know what you use to temporarily adhere your acrylic templates to fine leathers and remove without damaging the finish.EDIT: Never mind, I found your video on the Victorinox clochette where you explained pretty well. Thanks for these.
Oh, you’re right👍🏻 That is just a dust cover when I store them to prevent the dust inside of the ventilation holes When we use it, we should remove the cover😉
It is very helpful video, I can do the stitching in a better way after watching this. But I have problems with endings of stitch, when doing the backstitch :/
Great video. Number 3 could be avoided if you used Meisi Superfine Linen Thread, instead of Fil au Chinos. Everyone complains about the Lin Cable being inconsistent, I’ve yet to hear 1 person complain about Meisi.
Thank you for the comment!🤗 I have the Meisi m40 for some tests and I think they made a really great-looking thread and could be the alternative for Fil au Chinois. But, when it comes to the tightness and rigidity of the thread, Meisi Is a bit loose texture and feels weaker The tight + hard feeling from Lin Cable of Fil au Chinois is much greater than Meisi.... So... I'm still hesitating to switch my spools into Meisi products because of that issue, and Hermes still uses Lin Cable from Fil au Chinois and this fact tells something about it I guess🧐🧐🧐
@@AtelierSANGBLEU I really like the look of linen thread, but not that durable over time when it comes to wallets worn in a jeans pocket, usually had to restitch them after a couple of years use. If you try Meisi, I would recommend you to also try Meisi Xiange twist, have a similar look as linen thread, but more durable since it's synthetic.
Since the tutorial video was not getting enough attentions and feedbacks, we don't preparing additional videos about this 😅 If many people wants the contents about them, we will prepare the additional tutorials soon :)

How to saddle stitch soft leather which is like cloth with maintaining tension on both sides of thread ?

For that kind of small sized irons, 832 is the way to go and if we use bigger irons, that threads should be thicker as the irons size goes up 😉
Fantastic video. Thank you very much for this. How far in from the edge of the leather do you mark your stitch line?
I think the 2~3mm is the boundary and the exact measure follows the size of the irons and the designer's style.

Great video but why would you cover the ventilation ports on your external storage device? They are there for a reason!

If that is hard to do, just pass the thread one by one looking at both sides of them.
