    • @Blex_040
      @Blex_040 13 дней назад +13

      I think it's not really about the slurping, but slurping helps to eat faster and that's a big thing in Japan. Lots of people on a small area, big eating out culture, so restaurants have a much bigger focus on serving lots of people per hour then we do in the west and since it's a very respectful collective society, the customers accommodate for that. For example, keep sitting at the table after finishing your meal and talking while eating are also not part of the culture because both result in you eating slower and therefore lowering the number of people served per hour. Of course, these are not hard rules and you also need to 空気読み (read the air). It's a totally different thing in an Ichiran during lunch break compared to an Izakaya in the evening.

    I had assumed that most of the EN managers were still Japanese. It's interesting to hear that the vast majority are not. It sounded like a requirement of the job is to live in Japan (so you can report to Cover Corp HQ regularly), so I guess they just picked up a bunch of foreigners that were hanging around the greater Tokyo metropolitan area -- which, although qualified foreigners are a pretty rare spawn in Japan, when you're talking about the world's largest city, even a 0.01% occurrence ie still many thousands of people.

The different cultures yet similarities can keep the EN talents calm and since most of them interact with the main branch a lot (Calli, Kiara, Ina, Bae, Irys, Fuwamoco, Biboo) being bilingual helps a lot. Funny how some people all talk about lore and powerscaling, then conveniently leave out the fact that there's an organisation that takes in criminals, aliens, robots, eldritch and abnormal creatures, an entire council of goddesses, and more recently, a superhero team.
    If I've watched enough anime, these mane-sans are far more powerful that we realise, and Yagoo exceeds even that!
    I mean, these guys are rarely around, (besides A-Chan and Nodoka) and Omega is just straight up mythical.

    Pretty cool to hear good things about the managers treating the Hololive talents. Especially after hearing a couple recent negativities. Nothing compared to... the other company... but still some rightful concerns after recent accusations.

    I think it's important to distinguish between the talent managers and the corporate managers, simply because SOMEBODY at that company is screwing up royally, but I don't think it's the lower level management.

      @@Khunark They aint wrong about what? Ame and Fauna basically had similar problems they don't think they belong in hololive with all the projects leaning towards idol stuff. But at the end of the day they weren't forced to do so they can choose not to participate. Why do you think Ame is suddenly super active now that she's indie? Because the pressure from all those projects are gone now. It's not fair to blame the staff on this, this is not the same situation like with Chloe Sakamata where her manager refused to let her rest and kept begging her to do a recording even tho she said she was sick.
