Salem in October 2020 / Witch City during Covid

- Hi guys!
Visited Salem MA this year and it was certainly unlike any October that we have seen in Salem before! I was able to vlog the experience and throw it up on youtube, and I hope this helps anyone who may be on the fence about visiting Salem this year by being able see what its like in the first person.
There are definitely still crowds, so if you are planning on going don't expect to be able to stay 6 feet apart from others at all times. All of the shops have lines outside to only let a certain amount of people in at a time so be prepared to wait outside as well.
Also, mandatory mask rule while around others, duh.
Most restaurants are open but are only serving at a limited capacity so again be prepared to get there early to put your name on the list. The majority of haunted happenings that normally take place this time of year have also been canceled.
All that aside I personally had a wonderful experience and it was a much needed break from my day to day life! If you want to go to walk around the town, check out a few shops, and try pumpkin ice cream then maybe Salem is still for you this year!
Here is more info from the city of Salem in regards to haunted happenings.

Blessed be :)
THAT C.A.O.S OPENING MUSIC! I haven’t even finished the video, I know it will be great.
YES I LOVE CAOS
Loved this vlog! Just subscribed 💗
Can I ask which site you use for your music? Loved that you had so many good ones!
Aww thank you so much!! Most of my music I download from RUclips or royalty free websites online, though most of the music in this video is from RUclips. Hope that helps! :)
This is a great video! I’m planning on visiting salem once the border from Canada to Us opens up! Hoping for next October! I’ve been looking through videos and by far this is my favourite I’ve found! I love your vibe!
Aww Im so glad you liked it! Hopefully you can come and visit soon!!
I love this , thank you for sharing.
Great video! I loved your music choices. I love Coraline and Practical Magic.
Yesss that Practical Magic music!
The Coraline music lmaooo, visiting Salem next fall hopefully!!
Salem is on my bucket list
i loved your vlog. i went to salem and posted a vlog too a couple of weeks ago! that is so crazy how much more crowded salem is in october compared to late september. there were no waits for restaurants at all, and when i went to the hocus pocus house i sat out front for over an hour & nobody came to take photos besides me. i work in the service industry. it is frustrating trying to accommodate hungry people on a wait list, especially right now with covid when seating is at a limited capacity :(.
I watched your vlog too and loved it 💛!! It was a lot more crowded than I thought it would be and looking back I can deffinately see how the restraunt staff would be overwhelmed trying to accommodate groups of people while respecting social distancing rules. I work in health care rn and believe we are all internally screaming at this point 🙃
Which shop did you see the little black cauldron at and how much was it? And wow, those crystals were cheap for only $1!
Hi! I'm pretty sure I saw the cauldrons at Witch City Wicks, I couldn't remember the price so I looked it up but couldn't see it on their website.. however.. for Christmas my friend got me a black cast iron cauldron off Etsy and I love it! Ive been able to use it for melting wax and decoration as well. Ive seen them on Etsy ranging in the $20-$30 range, here's a link to one similar to mine! Hope this helps :)

@@sarahthiemegoes8718 thank you, I appreciate it! I really hope to visit Salem one day, Halloween is my favorite holiday.
OMGGG CAAAAOS OPENIIIIING
i’m 2 seconds in an the caos music got me
curious, what restaurant?
Hi there! I am hesitant to post the name of the restaurant only because I recognize now that they may have been very overwhelmed, and that server in particular may just have been having a bad shift. I wouldn't want everyone to think they are a bad restaurant just because we had a poor experience.
Ugly Mug, total bs I would not have tipped at all !
Hi! I just watched your senior vlog in Rivier University and I'm planning to go there. While I was scrolling through the comment section, I saw your reply that you used to work as an LNA. Do you have an email where I could ask you some questions? I'm also planning to work as an LNA and pursue my nursing degree in Rivier University.
I think the hat was on trial for witchcraft
Hahahah absolutely either that or Cass!
Chances are the statue is a fetish or poppet used in spellwork for different purposes. The restaurant you waited at; if its the one im thinking; i haven't noticed them doing it before but don't doubt it. They're always busy and I've been to salem a few times; however some tourists take forever talking etc. Its not right you got treated like that, but the earlier the better 9 and later the lines out the door but worth it. Got some awesome places to visit or suggestions to eat. I'll post it if you decide you want the suggestions
I would love to hear your suggestions! I would love to go back to Salem in the winter time and see what its like then, if they do Holiday decorations and such. Such a cool place :)

@@aequitasvox2488 Thank you so very much for sharing these suggestions!! Now I want to go back on a food tour hahaha. I will definitely make sure to check these places soon, a ghost tour would be amazing :)
@@sarahthiemegoes8718 no problem. Sorry you all missed inside of old town hall. Also seen in hocus pocus. By the way that’s where the witch trial reenactment happens and witches ball on Halloween. Actual witches(followers of Wicca and witchcraft practitioners) and other pagans have Samhain rites dancing etc. all can take part in the park. It’s very joyous and peaceful. Hope you all have fun next time you go. I hope to visit Salem April or October 2021 I miss Salem so much. Thanks for the response.
