Holy cow! The variety and the quality of models coming out now is amazing. My poor wallet can't take the strain. 🤯
Your videos never disappoint. I can only imagine what time it takes you to go an event, capture video then edit and narrate. From having a Lionel under the Xmas tree (thank you Santa) to operational radiator fans this creative hobby is unlike anything else. No matter one's desire and scale we all have the passion...for fun.
Model Railroading: The greatest hobby ever.
and a big thank you for doing a separate section on structures. Great job!
I was at the show on Saturday just mainly doing some shopping while I begin my return to the hobby after a 30 or so year hiatus. Thank you so much for this very well done report. It's amazing how much the hobby has progressed in the time I've been away.
Josh your videos are always informative. To no surprise your review of the Amherst Model Railroad Show was the best review I have watched. Simple and to the point. 👍
The VIA Charger and Venture coaches are so slick! I always like seeing them irl at work. Granted they're always flying by at 95mph while we're doing 35 so not much time to enjoy them.
Thanks for showing the new products.
Great to meet you at the show Josh! I didn’t even realize some of the items in your video existed! I’m taking notes!
It was such an honor to see you at the train show along with my friend Tom!
That was great. You have let me know there are several new companies I will have to check out. Thank you again for all your effort.
Thats my ACS64 long distance train in the intro!! Thank you for checking out our NECHS layout!! Big fan!!
Thank you so much for bringing the show to us with great new products can see the hobbies Growing 👍🏻🚂🚂
Micro Trains coming to HO scale is huge! They really got a nitch with the weathered cars and they look great!
Loved the Rapido and Prairie Shadows booths. Thanks for sharing!
Great video showing all these amazing models.
Thank you. I got a lot of new ideas out of this video.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Great meeting and chatting with you Josh! Thanks for the clip
Thanks for sharing, especially for those that could not attend. Thanks!
It was great to meet you and your dad in Springfield
Micro Trains H.O scale, bout time. Love the weathering!!😎
The new 4 axle locomotive from ScaleTrains is a GP40 and not a GP40-2.
Oops my bad! Didn't catch that. Thank you for clarifying!
Same thing
Bicentennial units are Western Pacific not Southern Pacific!
@@nsmodeler24 ur videos r great to watch locomotives sound so realistic could u get mine sound realistic if I send one too ya
Great video of the show! Thanks! Never had the chance to go there, but you made that possible. Awsome video!
Nice video. Best I have seen from Amherst.
Excellent video!
Awesome! I’m lucky to live in Massachusetts! Too bad I didn’t catch ya there
what a great show! awesome to meet you there!
Great overview. It was also nice to meet you!
First Class presentation. Thank you!
It’s always cool to see model trains is still a thing

Great content. Thank you
Excelente resumen. Estoy en escala n desde Montevideo. Uruguay. Un abrazo
It was great to meet you, thanks for the shoutout!
Wish I knew you were there. Would have liked to meet you! Great videos!
Thanks for the coverage Josh! it was quick and informative, just right! and Lombard hobbies is great i just grabbed a couple of units for some custom builds i have been looking for, so thanks for that as well!
cheers, Wade
ScaleTrains is introducing a GP40; not a dash 2.
Great Video as always. The “cabless” powered B units, such as the SD40-2B. The B=Booster unit. The SD 40-2 and SD45B units were rebuilt from wrecked units. The Santa Fe EMD GP60B were new from the factory as new. GE had the B30-7’s that BN used
Excellent video! Just one thing.. ScaleTrains announced the 1966-71-built EMD "straight" GP40 in several production phases and variations, but not the later GP40-2.
Great video as usual. One thing though, the acelas have slowly been delivered over the last few years and testing on the NEC. It’s not in service yet. The fra just allowed Amtrak to conduct more testing. They likely won’t enter service until the end of the year or longer since they are currently only allowed to go up to 90 mph while they are rated for 160 and NEC trains regularly go 125.
Hey! It was so good to meet you at the show!
Josh, those were Western Pacific GP40-2's with Scale Trains.
Fantastic! Model railroading is awesome! You can have trains like those of the old days. Modern trains also. You can also have modern engines and cars painted for railroads that ceased to exist years ago. And you can have your trains painted for a fictional railway. I would not mind seeing an n scale double stack and auto rack train pulled by Allegheny and West Virginia ES44ACs and SD70ACEs.
In my model railway world, the Santa Fe is still around, as it should be today but unfortunately isn’t. Sigh.
Another beautiful thing about model railroading is that there is no hideous graffiti anywhere.
@@armandoperez7967a lot of us enjoy graffiti and like putting it on our cars (;
@@MotownModels I admit, it is prototypical.
Seems like N scale was a bit thin on the ground.
Great video! At 4:48 that is WP, not SP.
Petition to have you replace kenn Patterson at mrh sign here 😅
I am a big fan of what Kevin at Superlogic Systerms is doing. I am trying to figure out how to add some of his system onto my layout.
hello NSmodeler24 & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks NSmodeler24 Friends Randy
I’m surprised I didn’t run into you at the show lots of great stuff there
Great review thanks
They have some nice stuff
Bachmann stuff with detail??!! Might have to check them out again
Would love to see Scale Trains do 2 rail "O" scale.
Also, you showed GP16s but said GP10s. Both are on coming, though!
wish you would of stopped by the miniprints booth. would of be cool to say hi to ya
Do the signal logic signals work with a DC layout?
this was awesome as usual thanks so very much for the content.. did you do a video on how to add computer screens to locomotive cabs ??.. Where did this show take place ??
How do you feel about the Broadway 70Ace’s? I have a handful on order and I’m wondering if you were going to get a couple and test them on the live coal drag? They make stealth versions for easy 21pin installs.
1:20 it's not in service quite yet, sadly
Are you going to be at Timonium Maryland train show?
thanks
Very informative video. I was personally disappointed not to see any steam, and precious few cars appropriate to the steam era, but that's not your fault!
However, I must (having an aunt, uncle, and cousin who used to live there) point out that the "h" in this Amherst is silent. Ask anyone from there or from nearby. It might be pronounced in other Amhersts, such as the one near Buffalo, but not in the one from Massachusetts!
damn, attending a show like this must be heaven, but i would have to let my wallet at home 🤣
I didn't see any steam engines. Perhaps those manufacturers that make them (such as Broadway Limited Imports) weren't at the show.
Broadway Limited was at the show and they had quite a number of steam engines on display.
Bachmann really phoned it in with those Venture coaches. All generic, and not car specific detail. For the price, they really missed the mark compared to say a Rapido model.
I still want that cab car though !
I could never get into model railroading because the scale speed is off.
How come I can't get Unstoppable movie locos ?
What is the nwxt big show like this?
Northeast Large Scalle Train Show. Same location but taking place April 27-28th 2024
Why no bli booth
If it ain't Oscale it's no scale?
The Acela is pronounced "Assela" and the new Alstom units have unfortunately still not entered revenue service. Their testing phase has turned into a bit of a nightmare.
can the metra stuff be out yet I'm sick of waiting I want the cars more than the engine
As a n scaler this is depressing lol
“Bachmann”
Western Pacific Bicentennial, not Southern Pacific.
This was a an expensive video for my wallet dang
