    a robot very didactic, precise of easy installation, lightweight but versatile, the differential of the other industrial robots is in the rotation of 360 ° in the (6) axis degrees of freedom.

    Fanuc and any other Industrial robot have the ability to detect if something is wrong , it depends how you program the robot. UR robots are kind of a very basic robot. Good for personal projects

      UR's can detect all kinds of things. They are most certainly not a hobby robot.

    amazing video .. im planning to buy a cobot to my factory but still doing researches on the best items . i wonder what type of PLC universal robot is connected to? can i connect the same PLC to out sensors which are on the conveyer and other robot so i make them work in sequence . im planning to do pick and place automation .

    • @adisharr
      @adisharr 3 года назад +1

      UR robots have 16 in, 16 out along with a few analog in and out. They also have a Modbus TCP client/server, EtherNet/IP and Profinet interfaces built-in. As long as your PLC supports one of those interfaces, you should be able to exchange data with the robot, trigger program sequences, etc..

    Thanks @dannyrudolph for taking the time to create / edit / post this vid. It is VERY useful to be able to have real world non-sales-pitch info/demo/feedback on an industrial robot from someone that has purchased & integrated one for the first time. 5⭐️ content 👍👍👍. Thanks from IG user @NYDLS305 Btw; you look 10 years younger in video than on your IG pic 😂😂😂 . Only question is budgetary cost; less than $25k, $50k, something else? Understand that UR sales may not appreciate you posting $ info but trying to get a handle on real world $ for something like this for my Day Job
    without talking to a lot of sales types. Thanks again

    Hey Dan!
    Thanks this overview. I'd like to ask you to share with me this workpiece change program. I'd like to make a palette program, which take out the pieces from a box with 5x5 slot(25pieces) and put it in another 5x5 box. Can you help me with this, or show your program in the video?
    Thank You!

    Nice video👍 Universal robot programming is easy and fast to learn. Im currently working on project where i have to make demonstration where universal robots UR10(gripper, machine vision, force sensor), UR5(gripper) and omron mobilerobot work together with humans. I will upload video of it and hopefully someone can get ideas to their business from it. I got new ideas from your video. Thank you. I Subscribed and liked your channel/video

    Do you know how to create a spiral? 17mm to 1mm in 3 revolutions. I then need to pattern the spiral on an 8x8 grid. Thanks for the video.

    Dan, how easy is the UR to program on the fly and do basic automation set up with let’s say pneumatic vices and what not for a typical job shop environment. We have med. vol runs all the time 300pcs etc. really think this robot can help us out.

    How does the UR5 avoid colliding with the things e:g the CNC machine on which the tech pendant is mounted?
    And, what's a good resource for learning how to code UR robots?

    • @antonsjoberg
      @antonsjoberg 5 лет назад

      Of course it's programmed but how is that configured in the teach pad.

    • @adisharr
      @adisharr 4 года назад

      @@commanderbensisko You would program a series of waypoints to not collide with the machine. If you program it to try and move past a solid object it will collide with it.

    Excellent clip! But I have one question. when setting waypoints and gripping objects with different weight, is there any difference in UR's performance? for example slower to get the position? or losing stability of the accuracy? Thx.

    • @DanRudolph
      @DanRudolph  6 лет назад +1

      Vincent Kao there is a function to let the robot know when additional weight is being held by the robot, to allow it to compensate for the additional load on the joints without generating a safety fault. If that weight is set properly, I wouldn’t expect any loss in accuracy, speed wouldn’t be affected unless you were attempting to go at the robots top speed, which isn’t advisable in most cases
