Not the first time she's been nominated for Try of the Year and a worthy winner. All the tries shown were great to watch, but I think that Abby's pipped them all. All that hard work and dedication after her terrible injury has definitely paid off. Well done Abby!
What made that try so moving as well as thrilling to watch at the time was the knowledge that both Abby Dow and Claudia MacDonald were told months before that they wouldn't recover in time from their injuries for the World Cup. In fact Claudia MacDonald was told that her neck injury would prevent her from ever playing again! To see the two of them linking up for that extraordinary try had me reaching misty-eyed for a non-existent whisky bottle.
I Wish we got to see England womens in wellington.not fair for our rugby community but congratulations Abby Dow love seeing her run also my other favourites are Abby ward, Emily scarratt
I thought the try by South Africa was better. The English one was made possible by several players, but Mabenge's was all by herself. Rubi Tui's try against France was uncanny 😱
England’s try came from behind their own try line, though, going the full length of the pitch. Always difficult to pick a winner from so many quality performances, so I guess they then have to look at what made one try stand out more than another.🤷🏽♀️
@@t_harper25 Ferns scored more points to win the WC what did the Roses do, they failed.they got the record for losing 5 Xs to the Ferns at the big dance,5 Xs....no one better at losing than them ...
@@howardpohatu3868 All Blacks playing with 16 players as usual. Worst ref I've ever seen. And England still nearly won with 14 players. England are still the best team in the world, by a country mile. They're gonna rout the Ferns for the next few years. You'll see.
The first try ,black ferns the ball was passed 7 times, much better.the try of the year must have been black ferns in the world cup final. From a biast ist kiwi
My favourite was Abby putting NZ Portia Woodman on her backside and scoring, what a wonderful sight. As the NZ coach described Woodman as the best player in the world well mate sat on your backside is far from the best in the world

Broken leg in April. Try of the Year in November. 🙌🏻 👏🏻
She's just in a class of her own Abby when she hits the gas. I mean phew, I've watched that video a dozen times & still in awe of the lass 👍
Was there any doubt?AMAZING
Always looking fabulous in a England shirt or red dress.
To come back from a broken leg and win Try of the Year... Abby Wow indeed! 👏

Thoroughly deserved winner, but surprised Tui's try from the semifinal wasn't in the running.

Abby Woooooow 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
For me the best try was from New Zealand, no individual outstanding effort but good team support.

The old problem - solo try or team try? It's a team game.
I've not seen a team in any sport more obviously the best than the Roses
Guess you didn't watch the Black Ferns beat them in the WCat Eden Park .
@@howardpohatu3868 how were they better? It was defined by the ref, not by performance. I have the feeling you don’t understand

@@t_harper25 I agree. The referee made an inexplicable decision. I I think she knew she did.
