- This video is the demonstration of the ZEV 3-1 Micro maximum incline test climbing a 35 degree incline. The road is covered in gravel and cinders from the snowplows. The crackling sound is the rocks and cinders hitting the belly pan. Passenger and cameraman weigh 350 lbs. 34 degree F day.
The T3-1 uses an induction motor, so while you can hear the speed drop on the incline, it only drops to about 1/2 speed and the rate climb stabilizes. Torque is relatively independent of motor speed. - Авто/Мото

Brutal...but handled it OK. I would still avoid such hills like the plague!
You are confusing percent grade with angle. Still an impressive climb on a 20.5 degree road, past the practical limit for wheeled vehicles.
We have a 10 ft long 2X4 with angle gauge mounted on it that we pull up the road and read. We check the angle with that so there can be no such claims as you make. I am looking at a gauge, you are looking at a video from a rear passenger camera and giving it your best guess from that prospective. I have the detail, you have a guess.
