This is all history known to me, but in the best video depiction I have ever seen. The language, clothing, armor, weapons and buildings have been carefully depicted to portray these events as they would have played out in front of a time-traveling camera. My dad being from close to Lahore, this hits home. Made me recoil seeing the depictions of the Mongol massacres, truly nightmarish events. Also, I can attest that all the Urdu dialog (and Hindi too) is spot-on. Superlative work, best video I've seen in a long time!
Amazing how a small country like Mangolia with limited population fought and controlled such a vast empire. Fighting in Europe, Central Asia, Arabia, India and China at the same time.
You conquer one, then use their forces to conquer another. It snowballs. It's similar to how the tiny British conquered India. They never had more than 100,000 british soldiers in India at any point. Most of the army was Indian.

@@pazpaz3059 There were a lot of mistakes from the Yuan dynasty side, like not being well prepared and Mongolians aren't too familiar with aquatic battle.
Actually for months the Mongols couldn't land because the Japanese defence was too strong. So they had to camp out at sea until the stormy seasons. The "Divine Wind" was created by the monks after the invasion to recruit more members into their religion. The biggest contribution goes to the Japanese samurai defenders.

The Biggest war was the Battle of Kili fought between Delhi Sultan Alaudin khilji army of (300000) vs Mongol Qutlugh khwaja army of (200000).Alaudin split his army into three divisions each of a 100000 men and gave two divisions to his 2 commanders.He told the commanders to take defensive stance and wait for the mongols to attack,but one of his commander named zafar khan (brave guy) marched his division against the mongols and inflicted heavy casualities on the mongol side and he managed to hurt the enemy king Qutlugh .Even though Zafar khan and his entire division were killed by the mongols,the mongols were shaken by the courage and bravery of the warriors that Qutlugh(who was hurt) ordered a general retreat without engaging the other 2 divisions of Alaudin khilji.Qutlugh died on the way back to his kingdom.

Alauddin Khalji was one of the greatest of the Muslim sovereigns of the pre-Mughal times. He possessed the rare qualities of a born military general and a great administrator. Dr. Ishwari Prasad observes - “He possessed the qualities of a born military commander and civil administrator a rare combination in medieval history.” (1) A Born Military Leader. Alauddin was a great military general. He dreamt to become another Alexander. When he ascended the throne, India was being threatened again and again by the Mongols who had become a constant error for the people. They had no regard for any caste, creed, or religion and wherever they went they carried fire and sword and killed thousands of people. The Sultan maintained a strong army and punished the Mongols so arable that they dared not attack India again. He greatly extended the frontiers of his empire. He conquered most of the Hindu states in the north and overran the whole of the south. All his military exploits were crowned with success. (2) A great Administrator. Alauddin Khalji was not only a great military leader but also a great administrator. He crushed the power of the nobility to bring about peace in the country. He confiscates their excess amount of money and property and put a ban on their social gatherings and prohibited them to use wine. He himself set the example by breaking all the cups and glasses and emptying the jars of wine into the streets.He did not allow the llamas to interfere in the political affairs of the state. He is credited to have introduced various reforms on the land revenue and military departments. His control of the markets is regarded as one of the marvels of medieval statesmanship. There prevailed complete peace and tranquillity during his reign. Faust remarks - “So long as Alauddin was alive, he executed justice with such vigor that robbery and theft formerly so common were not heard of in the land. The travelers slept secure on the highway and the merchants carried on their commodities in safety.” (3) A man of sense and Determination. Though quite illiterate Alauddin was a very sensible man and he possessed great qualities of head and heart. There was one great quality in him, if ever he was in the wrong he would at once admit his mistake and reform himself accordingly. When the Qazi Ala-ul-Mulk advised him to give up the. the idea of founding a new religion and conquering the whole world, he fully realized his mistake and corrected himself accordingly. Had he been obstinate like Mohammad Tughlaq, he would have completely lost in his ideal dreams and utterly ruined himself. Alauddin was a man of iron will. In 1299 when about two lakh Mongols appeared on the very gates of Delhi most of his nobles requested him to make peace with them and save the country from ruin. But the Sultan said, “No, come what may tomorrow I must march into the battlefield.” Whatever Alauddin thought of doing a particular thing, he did it with all his force and determination and achieved wonders. And in 1300 AD, Africa contained empires such as the dynasties in Egypt, Tunisia, Berber and Morocco, Kingdom of Beta Israel, Bunyora, Chwezi Empire, Kilwa, Ifa Sultunate, the Ethiopian Empire, Mereb Melash, etc. which collectively handled a higher trade volume than all of Europe in 1300 AD. The Mongols conquered the most important areas of the world at that time, but it didn't mean much, when they nearly wiped out those civilizations in Persia, Syria and Iraq, which were the most advanced at the time, and they delayed progress by hundreds of years also in Russia and China. If you are a wise conqueror, whenever you conquer a new place you keep it wealthy and in good condition, and embrace its technologies to reap its benefit fully. If you are a foolish conqueror you pillage it, leave it in ruins and lose all of it very fast.
Alauddin khilji a brave and intelligent king. Who was fighting against different forces at once. One side Chittor, the other side Rebels, then Mongols. This is all history known to me, but in the best video depiction I have ever seen. The language, clothing, armor, weapons and buildings have been carefully depicted to portray these events as they would have played out in front of a time-traveling camera. My dad being from close to Lahore, this hits home. Made me recoil seeing the depictions of the Mongol massacres, truly nightmarish events. Also, I can attest that all the Urdu dialog (and Hindi too) is spot-on. Superlative work, best video I've seen in a long time!

The Biggest war was the Battle of Kili fought between Delhi Sultan Alaudin khilji army of (300000) vs Mongol Qutlugh khwaja army of (200000).Alaudin split his army into three divisions each of a 100000 men and gave two divisions to his 2 commanders.He told the commanders to take defensive stance and wait for the mongols to attack,but one of his commander named zafar khan (brave guy) marched his division against the mongols and inflicted heavy casualities on the mongol side and he managed to hurt the enemy king Qutlugh .Even though Zafar khan and his entire division were killed by the mongols,the mongols were shaken by the courage and bravery of the warriors that Qutlugh(who was hurt) ordered a general retreat without engaging the other 2 divisions of Alaudin khilji.Qutlugh died on the way back to his kingdom.

He understood the value of and prepared the ground for the separation of the State from the Church. He was not more bigoted than his age. Himself almost illiterate, he had nothing but contempt for learning and scholarship, though during his reign Delhi became ‘the rival of Cairo and the equal of Constantinople because of the throng of great men of whom the poet Amir Khusrau and Hasan were the most famous. ‘Ala-ud-din was the first Muslim imperialist and the first great Muslim administrator of India. The history of Muslim empire and Muslim administration in India really begins with him. ‘Ala-ud-din, Sher Shah, and Akbar-each marks a distinctive step in the evolution of Indo-Muslim history.

There were 4 nations which have managed to defeat the 1200's Mongols in war ; Javanese (Majapahit), Turks (Khalji & Bahri Mamluks), Japanese, Vietnamese (Dai Viet). Mongols of the first half of the 13th century however were unstoppable

Alauddin Khalji was one of the greatest of the Muslim sovereigns of the pre-Mughal times. He possessed the rare qualities of a born military general and a great administrator.
Dr. Ishwari Prasad observes - “He possessed the qualities of a born military commander and civil administrator a rare combination in medieval history.”
(1) A Born Military Leader. Alauddin was a great military general. He dreamt to become another Alexander. When he ascended the throne, India was being threatened again and again by the Mongols who had become a constant error for the people. They had no regard for any caste, creed, or religion and wherever they went they carried fire and sword and killed thousands of people. The Sultan maintained a strong army and punished the Mongols so arable that they dared not attack India again.
He greatly extended the frontiers of his empire. He conquered most of the Hindu states in the north and overran the whole of the south. All his military exploits were crowned with success.
(2) A great Administrator. Alauddin Khalji was not only a great military leader but also a great administrator. He crushed the power of the nobility to bring about peace in the country.
He confiscates their excess amount of money and property and put a ban on their social gatherings and prohibited them to use wine. He himself set the example by breaking all the cups and glasses and emptying the jars of wine into the streets.He did not allow the llamas to interfere in the political affairs of the state. He is credited to have introduced various reforms on the land revenue and military departments. His control of the markets is regarded as one of the marvels of medieval statesmanship. There prevailed complete peace and tranquillity during his reign. Faust remarks - “So long as Alauddin was alive, he executed justice with such vigor that robbery and theft formerly so common were not heard of in the land. The travelers slept secure on the highway and the merchants carried on their commodities in safety.”
(3) A man of sense and Determination. Though quite illiterate Alauddin was a very sensible man and he possessed great qualities of head and heart. There was one great quality in him, if ever he was in the wrong he would at once admit his mistake and reform himself accordingly.
When the Qazi Ala-ul-Mulk advised him to give up the. the idea of founding a new religion and conquering the whole world, he fully realized his mistake and corrected himself accordingly. Had he been obstinate like Mohammad Tughlaq, he would have completely lost in his ideal dreams and utterly ruined himself.
Alauddin was a man of iron will. In 1299 when about two lakh Mongols appeared on the very gates of Delhi most of his nobles requested him to make peace with them and save the country from ruin. But the Sultan said, “No, come what may tomorrow I must march into the battlefield.” Whatever Alauddin thought of doing a particular thing, he did it with all his force and determination and achieved wonders. has justly remarked, ‘Alauddin was a man of sense and determination who knew his own mind, saw the necessities of the situation met them with his methods and carried out those methods with persistence.’

It is funny that even though Alauddin khilji spent his life from resisting mongols from conquering and laying waste to India, in current time he is depicted as a psychopath in Indian movies and culture. But after he became sultan Mongol decided to come as this was a prospers region. 20. He gave higher posts to non-Muslims and punished any one regardless of his religion who go against him. The Mongols were defeated by the Mamluk Dynasty (where they lost every battle except one) and the Delhi Sultanate (all 6 invasions failed and ended with a death toll of at least 175,000 killed on the Mongol side plus tens of thousands sold in the slave markets of Delhi, tens of thousands executed by elephant trampling and about 8,000 whose heads were severed and put on display on several towers near Delhi's gates, e.g. Chor Minar, to serve as a warning to future invaders).

The Mongols also never conquered Japan. In 1300 AD, Japan was one of the Old World's most successful monolithic civilizations, so they missed that part of the "world", or at least what people considered to be "the world" back then, since no one knew about North and South America.
The Mongols also never conquered even a sliver of Africa. If you look up the data and facts, Africa is the same size of the Mongol Empire! And in 1300 AD, Africa contained empires such as the dynasties in Egypt, Tunisia, Berber and Morocco, Kingdom of Beta Israel, Bunyora, Chwezi Empire, Kilwa, Ifa Sultunate, the Ethiopian Empire, Mereb Melash, etc. which collectively handled a higher trade volume than all of Europe in 1300 AD.
The Mongols conquered the most important areas of the world at that time, but it didn't mean much, when they nearly wiped out those civilizations in Persia, Syria and Iraq, which were the most advanced at the time, and they delayed progress by hundreds of years also in Russia and China. If you are a wise conqueror, whenever you conquer a new place you keep it wealthy and in good condition, and embrace its technologies to reap its benefit fully. If you are a foolish conqueror you pillage it, leave it in ruins and lose all of it very fast.
Alauddin khilji a brave and intelligent king. Who was fighting against different forces at once. One side Chittor, the other side Rebels, then Mongols. Not only that besides these challenges he was also making great reforms in India like working on water reservoirs, economy, market stability, welfare, defence.
