They definitely had a very interesting rivalry. Ironically, Suzaku was Lelouch and Kallen's biggest obstacle and greatest rival. The only difference was that Suzaku's confrontation with Kallen was mostly physical combat and with Lelouch, it was wits and cunning.
so i’ll say a good 40% of the reason why i rewatch Code Geass or just the clips at least, is Kallen’s english voice actor Karen Strassman. She’s amazing and with her lines against Yuri Lowenthall it’s just so amazing to listen to. it’s one of the few anime I prefer to watch to in dub.
You miss the entire point of their last fight. Suzaku completed everything he was trying to. He meant to lose so that it would seem like he was dead. That way he could be the new zero. Did you not pay attention to the actual plot?

She was superior in that last battle, and she's always trying to kill him. so his live order always demands he goes all out because that's what Kallen does. He has too. It's just that when he knows he lost, his live order gave him a chance to escape. Yes, it's according to plan, but he can't try to lose with Kallen. She always wanted him dead in the nightmare fights particularly, and he had to treat each fight as such. Suzaku knows Kallen is the superior nightmare fighter. Yes Suzaku is a boss at it too, but Kallen is slightly more. Plus without his live order he gave up so many times in the show.
Don't you just love a mecha battle where the mechas go all out as the pilots sprout ideology? Kinda reminds me of the Freedom Gundam vs Providence Gundam battle for example.
Character Devlopment is perfect, with a COOL OST with "Nightmare ", "Zero ", "Grand Fleet ", "Black Knights " as my favorite of the ost The battles are perfect with a HELL GOOD HISTORY and unic character designs like Zero. Code Geass is F A N T A S T I C (Oh and a fact i forgot, Guren of Kallen vs Lancelot of Suzaku is the most iconic enemies in my opinion, since R1 to R2. It make more clear on the R2)
@@minousjay-rme9303 It depends on your personal tastes, really. I used to like AoT a lot but then the story and characters became a bit bland and predictable to me. Eren is a much more simple-minded protagonist than Lelouch and couldn't hold my interest for long. His relationship with Mikasa doesn't seem to evolve all that much compared to Lelouch and CC. But that's just my opinion.
Even when Guren SEITEN being the most advanced Knightmare Frame by the end of R2 and technologically surpasses Lancelot Albion in defense, offense, and mobility, Suzaku still managed to drag the duel into literal mecha fistfight. Kudos to Suzaku for lasting this long.

I like the fights between these two. This clip alone shows the difference between battle strength of Kallen and Suzaku. Their Ideals and beliefs. The upgrades in there Units. I like Suzaku. But I always prefer Kallen. Her strength to side with her enemy and takes orders.
Kallen and Suzaku definitely have an interesting rivalry, I'll give them that. At first, Kallen protects Lelouch from Suzaku in R1 and then their roles are reversed in R2 where Suzaku is the one protecting Lelouch from Kallen.

(実質負けてる)は少し違くて、ランスロットは動力を潰されて爆発→スザクは身体能力＋ギアスの呪いによるブーストで無理やり脱出したから負け
(「届いているよ」の時点でギアスの呪いが反応してるのでこのままだと死ぬことが分かる)
ジノがいなかったらカレンは海に落ちて死ぬので負け。つまり両者とも通常なら死んでるので引き分け
ランスロットと紅蓮はすべての戦いでどちらかが若干旧式という状況なので作劇的にも設定的にもどちらが明確に上手(うわて)なのかは描写されてない
そもそもの話スザクの戦闘スペックにおいてR2以降ギアスの呪いブーストを差し引くのはおかしい(スザク自身呪いを利用する形で戦っている)ので
どちらも最強格で基本負けない、が正しい。なおギアスの歴史で最強のパイロットは設定上マリアンヌ。
スザクとカレンの戦闘はどれも良い。特に最終戦 6:02 の描写は、今見ても感嘆する。
後、カレンとの戦いでC.C.が吐露する心情も、大好き。

The increase was so significant that he can actaully force a stalemate with Kallen despite her superior Knightmare frame

コードギアス→IQが高過ぎる主人公が、チェスの駒という体裁の兵を使い不利な戦局でも戦略的に勝つ為の作戦を練り戦う
アルドノア・ゼロ→IQが高過ぎる主人公が、圧倒的スペックと敵国の機体それぞれ個別で持っている初見殺しも良いところのチート能力を、戦闘時に分析しつつ対策して戦う(コードギアスと違い、ブリタニアに該当する敵国が持つ戦力はラウンズしか居ないような感じで、王族から領主に与えられた専用機体が数十機居る程度。つまるところ人型量産機が存在しない)
こんな感じの差異でどちらも面白いです。
正直な所、こっちのが面白いとか比べられない様なベクトルの違う知能を使った戦闘していて
どちらも推している身としては両方とも神作品として扱って頂きたいですね。

やっぱり、カレンと紅蓮、めっちゃかっけぇぇぇぇぇぇぇぇぇ！！！『ごめんね…紅蓮…』からの『舞い上がりなぁ！』は個人的に、ロボットアニメ史上最高のカッコよさ。
so i’ll say a good 40% of the reason why i rewatch Code Geass or just the clips at least, is Kallen’s english voice actor Karen Strassman. She’s amazing and with her lines against Yuri Lowenthall it’s just so amazing to listen to.
it’s one of the few anime I prefer to watch to in dub.

神虎(星刻)との短い戦闘かつエナジー切れでの負けは物足りなさ半端なかった。
ヴィンセント(ギルフォード)の撃破、トリスタン(ジノ)とモルドレッド(アーニャ)をまとめて一時活動停止させるほどの実力を見せただけに、もったいないこの上無かった。
活躍させると物語が破綻しかねないとも言えるけど。
流れてるbgmもいいよね〜

何度見ても面白い。
コードギアスは戦闘がスタイリッシュだけどそれ以外にも外交の駆け引きとかあって好きだった。
当時小清水亜美さんは若干20歳だったが、エウレカセブンのアネモネの流れで既に若手声優の中でも群を抜いた存在感をだしていたのは言うまでもない。
あまり知られていませんがこの年の声優アワードは福山潤さん、小清水亜美さんが受賞理由はコードギアスの熱演だったと関係者の発言されていました。
特にカレンが主役の1期9話『リフレイン』この回の小清水さんの最期の泣きのシーンは何度見ても感動を呼ぶ場面なのでオススメしたい。
なお、ギアスの監督から「小清水さんは櫻井さんになんかやったの？」って聞かれるぐらい櫻井が小清水を殺しにかかる演技をしてたと関係者が語ってる。

You miss the entire point of their last fight. Suzaku completed everything he was trying to. He meant to lose so that it would seem like he was dead. That way he could be the new zero. Did you not pay attention to the actual plot?

She was superior in that last battle, and she's always trying to kill him. so his live order always demands he goes all out because that's what Kallen does. He has too. It's just that when he knows he lost, his live order gave him a chance to escape. Yes, it's according to plan, but he can't try to lose with Kallen. She always wanted him dead in the nightmare fights particularly, and he had to treat each fight as such. Suzaku knows Kallen is the superior nightmare fighter. Yes Suzaku is a boss at it too, but Kallen is slightly more. Plus without his live order he gave up so many times in the show.
ランスロットアルビオンの方が後に作られて、ナイトオブラウンズビスマルク含めて４機全く無傷で勝利したけど、「セシル、ロイド、ラクシャータ」の3人が結果的に生み出した聖天八極式が機体として最強だったのは、ギアスの呪いをプラスにできるスザク相手に超絶いいバランスで、バトル構成の仕方神だなと思った。

Kinda reminds me of the Freedom Gundam vs Providence Gundam battle for example.
for me it really reminds me of the Amuro and Char rivalry, especially with the Red vs White color scheme and idealogical debates
Character Devlopment is perfect, with a COOL OST with "Nightmare ", "Zero ", "Grand Fleet ", "Black Knights " as my favorite of the ost
The battles are perfect with a HELL GOOD HISTORY and unic character designs like Zero.

@@minousjay-rme9303 It depends on your personal tastes, really. I used to like AoT a lot but then the story and characters became a bit bland and predictable to me. Eren is a much more simple-minded protagonist than Lelouch and couldn't hold my interest for long. His relationship with Mikasa doesn't seem to evolve all that much compared to Lelouch and CC. But that's just my opinion.

どっちの機体も異常レベルのスペックで、変態たちがやりすぎた為にオーパーツクラスの能力を誇り、乗りこなせるのは二人だけっていう、出鱈目な機体同士の一騎打ち。
こういう展開が王道だけど、こういうのが好きなのよ、燃える展開が好きなのよ。
強力な武装をお互いに使い果たして、最後には最初から装備しているアンカーと機動力、パイロット能力のみでの戦闘とか、たまんねぇ。
グレンラガンみたいに超絶怒涛バトルからのマトリョーシカ的に小型かしていき、最後の一撃がドリルコアのみと同じレベルで大好きですｗ

I like the fights between these two. This clip alone shows the difference between battle strength of Kallen and Suzaku. Their Ideals and beliefs. The upgrades in there Units. I like Suzaku. But I always prefer Kallen. Her strength to side with her enemy and takes orders.
Kallen and Suzaku definitely have an interesting rivalry, I'll give them that. At first, Kallen protects Lelouch from Suzaku in R1 and then their roles are reversed in R2 where Suzaku is the one protecting Lelouch from Kallen.

Suzaku went for the arm and the head.

Which shows that he intentionally murdered Monica and me. I’ll slaughter him with my bare hands.
毎回観て思うけど最終決戦の聖天VSアルビオンがクッソカッコ良すぎて脳汁溢れる。
ガンダムみたいな会話劇を1.25倍にぐらいでしてくれるのでテンポの良さにひかれる。アホみたいに中二心を揺さぶられるスタイリッシュ戦闘
ガンダムは剣を交えてバチバチさせたままずっと喋ってるよな

I love Kallen Kozuki. My god, I love Kallen so much. I can't take this anymore. What sin did I commit in my previous life to be cursed with a lifetime in a reality where Kallen is a mere fictional character? I just wish Kallen was real. I love Kallen Kozuki. Plain and simple, I just love Kallen Kozuki. She is the only one I love. She is my light and warmth in this cold dark world, my hope, my inspiration amidst hopelessness and depression. There was a point in my life when I was miserable, when I'd spend my entire day laying in bed and drinking, I was very depressed, I was wasting away, ready to die. But then, I found out about Kallen, her gorgeous blue eyes, fiery red hair, beautiful body, and fierce yet warm and loving personality, as fierce as a lion, yet as delicate as a butterfly. The moment I layed my eyes on her, it was love at first sight, I knew that she was perfection in human form. She changed my life, she saved my life. There are some things in this world that are worth living for, and some things, that are worth dying for. Kallen Kozuki, is who I live for, and if needed, I'll give my life for her. I just want her to be happy, I just want to see her smile. Her smile is brighter than light itself, it is a smile that should be protected at all costs, a smile, that can thaw the iciest of hearts, and bring peace and prosparity to the world. After soul-searching brought on by a particularly wild LSD trip, I am disgusted. I am disgusted in myself for my past actions on Kallen and the twisted fantasies I once held of her. I am ashamed of myself through and through, how I could even fantasize about such things. She has been through so much, both before and during the show. The last thing she’d want is for her last bit of innocence taken from her like that. I had convinced myself that it was okay, because she’d be the one in charge, but later on, I realised that she would never want to do that. Just hearing about that would nothing but bring her feel and anger, she’d feel violated. She just wants to lead a normal life, a happy life, and she would be horrified if someone came up to her and said all those things to her. I love her, I love her, I love her, and yet I once held such fucked up thoughts about her. I’m sorry Kallen Kozuki, I love you so much and I willnow choose a path of temperance and dignity in your honour, just as you wished. While I am truly remorseful for my actions against Kallen, and have fallen into a deeply miserable state as a result of my punishment in a Kallenless world, I believe that this punishment i'm receiving for my transgressions against Kallen is not only justified, but lenient if anything. It is just what a blasphemer like me deserves. However, I will never let this guilt overtake me and wallow in self-pity. Instead, I will dedicate the rest of my life to Kallen in hopes that one day, I will be redeemed by her and spend my next life with her.
