My dear mother and daughter🖤🖤 I am very glad that you listened to this work of art. You understood quite well the deep meaning of the lyrics, in Floor's emotional interpretation, which happily combines strength and sensitivity. The loneliness of the inner child, lacking social skills, who cannot convey to others what he feels except through what he creates - I understand that it is a fairly accurate self-description of Tuomas. Ocean soul, indeed.
have to say Gabriel this version is so damn Good dont have anything against Tarja but this version is a lot different but lots better the start so great
This song is practically heart-stopping for me. It's the ONLY time I've seen Emppu play a solo without a hint of a smile on his face. This is the great secret of Nightwish ... they each feel the song in the core of their being, and play it that way. Tuomas writes from his heart ... Floor sings from her heart ... and the guys play from their hearts. Marco is playing his custom built double-neck nicknamed "The Beast." He is a classically trained guitarist. You will see this guitar again when you get to "The Islander." Always fun to watch you two discover a new Nightwish song.
The GODDESS is a feeling-singer. SHE sings what SHE feels and that`s what you hear in her voice and is one of the multiple points that makes HER soo incredible and unique. A reactor once said: This song belongs into a museum. Did you notice how serious the normally funny guy Emppu looks at his solo? He even has a tear in his right eye. After his solo he quickly walked out of the light. I believe he had to compose himself. And his solo is perfect, absolutly perfect...soo much emotion.
One of Nightwish’s older songs, and one of Tuomas’s most personal. Inspired by the question, “if you knew you were going to die tomorrow, what would you have to say today?” Tuomas, as he often does, answers in the innocence of misunderstood boyhood, in poem. Floor sung this rather differently than Tarja did. Marko calls his custom-made double-neck instrument “The Beast”. This may be my very favorite Emppu solo. Leaves me longing for more. I knew you’d love this one. Is she a rock singer? Is she a metal singer? Is she a classical singer? YES! Keep exploring Nightwish ladies!
This is a very emotional and personal song for Tuomas. It is based on a hypothetical situation. The small child's voice represents Tuomas speaking. When asked what this song was about "Tuomas has said about this song, that it's about if he were to die tomorrow, what would he want to say to everyone that he loves, and that love him..." Notice the small boy on the screen reaching out to the flying swans on the screen. The swan is the guide to the afterlife in Finnish mythology. He is reaching out to implore them to take him with to the other side. A beautiful song filled with sadness from an unfulfilled destiny. The spoken words - The Dead Boy's Poem If you read this line Remember not the hand that wrote it Remember only the verse Songmaker's cry, the one without tears For I've given this its strength And it has become my only strength Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew The sweet piano writing down my life Teach me passion, for I fear it's gone Show me love, hold the lorn So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me I'm sorry Time will tell, this bitter farewell I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you And you I wish I didn't feel for you anymore A lonely soul An ocean soul
A very personal song for Tuomas. It's about him, and how he wants to be remembered. Whenever you see boy or poet, Tuomas is usually talking about himself. An older song, from the 2000 3rd album ,Wishmaster with Tarja on vocals, and before Marko joined in 2001, Sami Vanska on bass. Marko's double neck, 'The Beast', is a custom Warwick bass with Framus guitar.(both brand names are owned by the same company). Troy is playing an Irish Bouzouki, a relative of the Mandola. Wacken ,with Jukka was 2013, he stepped away in 2014.
@@generationgapreacts Over the years, I have heard many interpretations of what these lyrics mean including what Tuomas himself has said publicly when asked about it. I am very skeptical of all the above given observations of what transpired in the following years and what we know now (vis-à-vis Poet & the Pendulum). To me, I still say it smells of a suicide note, written in advance, and held in abeyance in the proverbial filing cabinet drawer in case he ever needed it. Of course he is going to have a slightly different explanation ready for public consumption. Wouldn't one be expected to keep certain details like that private? Fortunately, he did not need it in reality thanks to Poet & the Pendulum!
And "The Child" being a song or the band itself, the siren: the irresistible draw to music. Crucial on the Dead Boy is that it refers to young Tuomas: his childhood or childhood innocence.
Hi! I very recommend High Hopes (Pink Floyd cover), where Marko sings. You will see that not only Floor deserves respect in her versatility. All guys are talented and amazing)
Welcome back. Marko uses that double neck guitar on the song The Islander. Nightwish no two songs are fully the same. Floor can sing many Genres you'll see this with her cover songs she did during covid times, her new album she is releasing and back when she was singing on The Beste Zangers ( The Best Singers ). Thank you both.
One of my NW faves for sure. Floor’s clean vocals in this song are gorgeous. Next up for you should be Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean from the same concert. ❤️🤘🤘
Lyrics! Tuomas, back to childhood as a refuge, like Peter Pan. Love it when Floor starts quietly, then keeps ramping it up, yes, I saw it got you too! Ouch, the bit where the boy recites "I wish I didn't feel for you anymore"! Nice to see Marco jamming with Troy. And still Floor ascends, higher. Are you in a poetry group? Tuomas, yes, absolutely, amazing, magical. The Swan has cutural significance in Finland.
Beautiful song, beautiful ladies, amazing Goddess on vocals. What more could we ask for on a Friday night! Another great review! More Nightwish! Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean!
Great reaction ladies and spot on with your analysis. This is one of my top 5 Nightwish songs and gets me in the feels every time. A very personal and emotional song for Tuomas and the fans. It is about how he wants to be rembered if he were to die at the time he wrote the song. It is written from the perspective of a young man who has difficulty connecting with people and so expresses himself through his music yet is still frustrated that he is misunderstood. Tuomas often uses imagery of a child or poet to refer to himself and the need to maintain that innocence to be creative. He also often uses the ocean as a place of refugee and calm and has a strong connection to it. He considered becoming a marine biologist for awhile. Last, on the video screen behind the band you see the boy and a swan. In Finnish mythology the swan is the creature that escorts your soul to the afterlife. One of my favorite Nightwish ballads is The Crow, The Owl, and The Dove. A hauntingly beautiful song sung by Annette and Marko with a beautiful animated video that was made by a fan as part of a contest Nuclear Blast had. ruclips.net/video/iyY5QMf41dk/видео.html. Inspired by Henry David Thoreau's book of poetry Walden.
Very nice reaction and spot on analysis. Tuomas considers himself to be an ocean soul. He originally wanted to become a marine biologist. Tuomas definitely speaks through his music, it's obvious if you look at older interviews, he doesn't feel very comfortable answering personal questions. The melody in this song is almost beyond beautiful and it's funny how you say that it's hard to pinpoint Floor down in a category. I always say she is a story telling singer, she feels the music and does exactly what a song needs to shine.🤘🏽
Nice seeing you again, enjoy the Nightwish train in a lower, calming gear. Nightwish is always surprising, the most versatile band, because they have one of the best composers and musicians.
Very good ladies, tuomas remember him for his music, floor has a beautiful versatile voice, it's the emotion she protray when she sings that makes her beautiful voice so special, everyone in this band is special this is the first time a guitar solo has ever made me cry emppu is very special him and tuomas have been together since the beginning went to school together last of the original band members even marco wasn't the first bass player, but the music keeps going on God bless
Like so many others, I discovered Nightwish about a year ago by accident. Love everything I’ve heard from them, this song especially. I think you hit the nail on the head with your analysis. You are amazingly perceptive. Will love to hear more of your reactions to them. Hope BG feels better soon. One that I hope you will do is the Planet Rock acoustic version of “How’s the Heart” which is another beautiful ballad with just Troy and Floor.
This song saved me in so many ways Thomas is absolut master and floor is as always a absolut goddes thank you both for the absolut awesome reaction send your both all love and Support and good vibes 🥰
Background things Swan on the screen: In Finnish mythology and folklore, the swan was the divine messenger between the living and the dead. Tuonelan Joutsen (Swan of Tuonela) carries the dead to afterlife. This from their book: Once Upon a Nightwish: The Official Biography 1996 - 2006 Timeline: year 2000. ------------------------ Besides the choir, the album featured some other guest artists, Ike Vil of Babylon Whores contributed some deranged self-inspection for 'The Kinslayer', and 'Dead Boy's Poem' featured a child's voice. "I had an idea of a song with a young boy reciting a poem", Tuomas says. "The trouble was that no Finnish 12-year-old could pronounce English so that it sounded right, so I had to find a native speaker to do it. My mother's sister, actress Miitta Sorvali, knew (the English-Finnish director and writer) Neil Hardwick well, and my mom remembered that Neil had a son called Sam. I called him and asked him to do the poem, and Sam agreed right away. It was just funny that when I talked to this 15-year-old boy, he seemed like such a citizen of the world and was actually familiar with our band, too. Sam said he'd be free to record the poem anytime; I'd just have to give him a call. He even knew where Finnvox was and promised to meet us there." The professionalism of young Sam Hardwick made a deep impression on Tuomas. "When he arrived at the studio, I had to ask him to wait for ten minutes or so, and he just pulled a book from his pocket and sat down to read", Tuomas says. "I gave him the poem, and he read it through a few times. We did some editing, and Sam just sat down on the studio floor and read his book, after which I asked him to read the poem a couple of more times." "When I started talking about his reward, he wouldn't hear anything about it. He just said "It's okay, it was fun". I insisted on giving him at least a couple of hundred marks, and then he left. A very puzzling young man, but a real pro and a very nice person. He later did the beginning of 'Bless the Child', too, and once again, everything worked like a charm. 'Dead Boy's Poem' continues to be a sort of a signature song for Nightwish, and after 'Wishmaster' came out, the song was voted on our web site as the best Nightwish song ever. There's certainly something about it that defines us, and - for me at least - the poem is the absolute high point of the song. So Sam Hardwick made a big contribution to our music." For Tuomas, 'Dead Boys Poem' is a deeply personal song. "The idea for that song came to me when I was thinking that if I die tomorrow, what kind of a message do I want to leave behind", Tuomas explains. "That song is all about apologizing, about saying thank you to those who deserve it - and likewise telling those who deserve it to fu*k off. It's kind of a testament. I had to make a song like that, just in case I happened to die tomorrow. A Finnish man rarely thanks anyone, or says he's sorry, but for me at least, it was possible through music." "I still live at my mom and dad's, who are the best people in the world, but I've never been able to tell them what I think about them", Tuomas confesses. "Maybe if they listen to the song and read the lyrics, they'll understand that it's partly about them, too. It's also about my best friends and Nightwish, the band that has come to be a significant - if not the most significant - part of myself in the course of years. My band mates are really important to me, but it's hard for me as a Finnish man to show my feelings. I'd rather write a song like 'Dead Boy's Poem' and ask them to listen to the words, because I just can't say it out loud. It's such a personal song, and I think it has the best lyrics I've ever been able to write. Musically, it's really good, too, definetely the best song on 'Wishmaster' - maybe the best Nightwish song ever." It had not gone unnoticed by Tarja that Tuomas expressed his feelings through music. "The melodic power of music - and the fact that music can be beautiful even at its heaviest - has always meant an awful lot to Tuomas", Tarja says. "He's able to show all his feelings in his music. I think Tuomas is very brave, because not many people can do the same. He may not look like a macho man, but when it comes to music, It's all or nothing for him."
Hello from Spain, congratulations for the videos of nightwish, listen to the masterpiece of nightwish called THE POET AND THE PENDULUM I LIKED SURE THANKS
Jukka' s last tour was 2013 as far as I know. Because of insomnia and problems with his back he changed into the NW managment and was replaced by Kai who is also an unbelievable drummer. So he is still part of NW 😊.
Marko is playing a custom Warwick bass/Framus guitar double neck Infinity Panthera...nicknamed "The Beast"! FYI Nuclear Blast Records just released a new lyric video of the 3rd single, Dead God's Son, off of Marko's latest solo project, Pyre of the Black Heart . Support Marko Hietala, an absolute legend of a rockstar!
Ladies, I hope you listen to * Weak Fantasy * Live at Tampere Ratina Stadion. So good… * Empty Hope * is another one. Live at Wembley ( 2015) Floor could basically sing the phone book. Just like Steve Perry can. Lol Very distinctive and powerful voices that tell you a story, just so captivating. ❤️🙏🏻🎙🎙🎙🎙🔥🔥🔥🔥
Greetings. Yes, you can link the lyrics to Tuomas or take it as a hint (wink, wink). But remember Tuomas writes pretty much everything as far as the foundation and lyrics of the song. So he will write some lyrics in which he includes himself as the main character in the song. Another thing to keep in mind, is that Tuomas had a dream of being a marine biologist and that dream bled into Nightwish. He never lost his love for it so he also makes many references to water, oceans, seas, waterfalls, and of course, the ambient blue color of the ocean world that comes at some point during their live shows. By the way, have you seen the cover of the new Metal Hammer magazine? 🔥 You can take a peek in the community tab on the Nightwish RUclips channel. 😉 Thank you for the video, reaction and comments. Stay safe and stay blessed. 😊❤️🤘🤘
It's a real tear jerker. It's a double neck guitar, and you are right, Bass on top and 6 string on the bottom. He calls it the Beast because it weighs 14 pounds!!!
I think Tuomas (the keyboard player and writer of almost all of their music and lyrics) is an introvert who expresses himself through the music he writes. Like a lot of great artists do. Wether they paint, write poems or music or whatever art they make. We connect with it, if we didn`t, we would not listen to music like Nightwishes`or watch reaction video`s. Thank you, I will join you on your journey. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Marko is playing the Double neck (the beast) on top the bass and the bottom is a guitar. It is indeed Tuomas talking about himself how he wants to be remembered and it is also a beautful, but sad ballad performed perfectly here by all members of the band. Even Emppu is very serious here. No smile in this one from him. If you want to hear Floor singing full OPERA react to O Mio Bambino Caro from Puccini in the Tiende van Tijl 2013. It is a short song, but beautifull
Since the first time I listened to this song, I definitely understood what Tuomas was writing about. I put down my feelings on canvas, as I love being in the forest, next to a stream, and sketching my next painting.
Hi there great video! And if you want an other great balad song check Nightwish-Sleeping sun live at Tampere 2015 and Yours is an empty hope is a must!
To become more used to their actual drummer (Kai Hatho), i recommend to check out another band called Wintersun. This was his former band (He is still in, if i am Not misstaken). Please check out their songs time and sons of Winter and Stars, the sonic pump Studio version.
One thing someone pointed out on another reaction to this song that I thought was pretty poignant….Emppu’s guitar solo…the expression on his face when he finishes…not his usual smiling, happy visage. Maybe that demonstrates the power of this song….it even got to him. Marko's instrument is called "The Beast". The top neck is a 4 string bass guitar, and the bottom one is a 6 string electric guitar. For Tuomas himself this song means a lot. He has said that this is the “mother of all Nightwish songs, about himself and how he wants people to remember him as when he passes away. He said ”This is the most personal song I’ve ever written. My testimony for the whole world. With this song I want to apologise everyone who deserves my apology. It also makes an “I don’t care” -statement to them who deserve it. The song is also about what Nightwish means and has meant to me. It’s all, without it I’m dead. I have created it and it has created me. When I pass away, this song’s lyrics are of what I wish to be remembered. An Ocean Soul.” NWSU 🤘😎🤘.
Hi my friends great reaction to one of the greatest bands of all time a young gentleman taking RUclips by storm is ren -hi ren this video has had 3 million views in 2 weeks and it is pure genius worth a look and at the end has a great message many thanks love and respect from the UK 👍👍👍👍👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing 👍
Greetings from UK Another great reaction, thank you 😁 Don't panic! Yukka is back behind the drums on the next two songs on the list The next song is 'Ghost River'. Marko sings all the way through that one, you see Emppu's mischievous side and Floor does a little growl I think it has a decidedly '80s feel to it By the way, Everdream is not in your Nightwish playlist 😉
When your wonderful Jukka was forced to step away from performing (he is still active in management) because of chronic insomnia, he handpicked his successor, Kai Hahto from Wintersun. I believe he was Jukka's teacher at one point and definitely a close friend. The new bassist, also a Jukka, is/was a bandmate of Kai's in Wintersun.
"Decades" celebrated 20 years of Nightwish. Tuomas is not a fan of "Greatest Hits" collections / albums. He's said that any previous NW greatest hits were compiled and released by the record label. He calls this album the "essential" NW songs. You should definitely do "Elàn", the First Single, from the First Album, featuring Floor as lead singer. Several great live versions, and, a killer music video are available to choose from.
I would like you young ladies to react to phantom of the opera from amsterdam with floor and henke port with the nightwish band. You will be astonished especially at the ending. It is different than the beste zangers duet.
Gap ladies, I would like you to react to "Someday Soon" by Suzy Bogguss in honor of the man who wrote that iconic song, Ian Tyson, who passed away just a little over a week ago on Dec 29, 2022. The song has been covered by sooooo many people! It was first made famous by Judy Collins, But I really like Suzy Bogguss's hit version.
Once you really hear the words, they'll never leave your hart and soul... as so many children to their parents, I too "failed in becoming a God"... Tuomas Holopainen, you f*cking genius.
Greetings from Utah 🤘 I also miss Jukka on drums. He is so fun to just watch, let alone listen to. So much raw emotion in his playing. I often wonder if some of that comes from the health issues he was suffering from. I have heard insomnia and migraines. To have to go out and play a 2 hour concert with those symptoms shows a huge amount of dedication and love for what you do. An example is High Hopes: ruclips.net/video/4oEDnVeYYyM/видео.html. I'm not positive, but it looks like he is in pain, especially when he grabs his head and puts his elbows on his drums. At one point, Tuomas kind of flicks his head towards the drums, and a little after that (when able), Emppu goes up on the drum stand, perhaps to check on Jukka. I may be imagining all of this, but given how much the band members care for each other, it could well be true. I really enjoy Kai on drums as well. His playing style is obviously very different from Jukka's, but his skill is undeniable. He is very, very good technically, but still manages to let his emotions show. The vast majority of the time the camera is on him, he is smiling, unless the emotion of the music evokes a more somber expression. Did you know that he is Jukka's mentor? When Jukka needed to leave the band to take better care of his health, he hand-picked Kai as his replacement. Love you Gals!
No cheating necessary, Jukka personally asked Kai for help when he couldn't go on anymore. So, while i agree with you on preferring Jukka, i love Kai for stepping in and making a horrible situation a little easier to deal with.
Hi Girls ! A suggestion for you, a bit "out of the box" but I'm sure you will be as surprised as you were, the first time you listened to Nightwish. Please react to the Papa Roach song "Last Resort" but in the re-imagined version done by Falling in Reverse. I'm sure you both will love this !
In my top 5. Floor's performance of this, which is in part inspired by Tuomas' thoughts about how he would like to be remembered, transcends the original significantly and showcases her wide range (I love her velvety low register). The feeling she puts into this is astonishing. Even the "thank you" at the end always seems to me to be emotional (and probably is - you might notice Emppu never smiles in this, which is the only instance I know, he usually smiles even in Poet - the song affects all of them). (Can't stand Sarah Brightman's voice BTW.) Marco plays The Beast quite often. My Walden is an example. Top half Warwick bass, bottom half Framus 6-string (both companies part of the same group) and custom designed. Marco started as a guitar player and if you watch The Islander at Tampere you'll get some idea of how good he is, in that case playing it pretty much as an amplified acoustic rather than adding heavy effects. He switched to bass fairly early and obviously became one of the great bass players (though under-recognised IMHO). Jukka left in 2014 but still works as a manager with the band. Kai is phenomenal too. You'll see him in many videos - Wembley, Tampere, Buenos Aires and all the newer videos from the current tour. There are many more concerts on video of course (I think I have in the region of 30 full concerts in my collection) but many are older, from the Tarja era (some Anette too). To see Jukke playing very differently with some good close ups (and close-ups of Troy's "massive pipes" too) watch Slow Love Slow from Montreux Jazz Festival 2012.
That's Marco's doubleneck, and indeed, it's a bass and guitar. Marco uses it in several songs. Don't do the poet and the pendulum without looking up the backstory. You'll be lost!
An other great reaction from you, don't know if you did "She is sin" but that is a good song if you want mor Jukka drumming (Wacken 2013 is good one). See you soon
For something entirely different again, you should check out their performance of "The Islander" live in Tampere. ruclips.net/video/Zo8ncK_5kzc/видео.html

Hello please don't get angry..I but in a request with your reaction to Diana before this but I think you need to have a little background about ANGELICA HALE she have been put down for her ethnicity and looks she Filipino-American also remarks because of all the scars she have from operations she had for organ failures at 4yr old plus kidney transplant she was in a coma and hospital for 80days she wasn't supposed to live..her dad would play all the songs she loved as he set by her bedside even though she was in a coma she would move her hands and feet plus nodded her head she has a dream to be a world famous singer and she fought and still dreaming she reminds me of SIA'S song UNSTOPPABLE an I think she will no matter the remarks and put downs she will fight until is that world famous singer.

Emppu played it liked he'd play it in Tuomas' funeral, almost in tears. Tuomas wrote this song to be his eulogy, and Emppu certainly is living it.

The spoken words - The Dead Boy's Poem
If you read this line
Remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse
Songmaker's cry, the one without tears
For I've given this its strength
And it has become my only strength
Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality
Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew
The sweet piano writing down my life
Teach me passion, for I fear it's gone
Show me love, hold the lorn
So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me
I'm sorry
Time will tell, this bitter farewell
I live no more to shame, nor me, nor you
And you
I wish I didn't feel for you anymore
A lonely soul
An ocean soul

That is insanely good - an old hidden gem brought back on the Decades tour, and given some Floor power.
Basically Tuomas’ epitaph. Enjoyable reaction from you all as usual.
Beautiful song, beautiful ladies, amazing Goddess on vocals. What more could we ask for on a Friday night! Another great review! More Nightwish! Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean!
Thank you Randy ☺️
Marko's 'monster' is a Warwick/Framus Infinity/Pantera double neck bass/guitar, custom made for him. It's a 'heavy' instrument. 😎👍
Marko with double-neck guitar/bass? Islander live at Tampere 2015 it is! Another masterpiece from Nightwish and yet again different.
I concur,
Also “While your Lips are Still Red” live from Wembly
I concur to both.
We All love ❤️ this song 🎵.
One of the Epics 😍
Vocally, musically, visually..Stunning 😇🤘😇🤘
Very nice reaction and spot on analysis. Tuomas considers himself to be an ocean soul. He originally wanted to become a marine biologist. Tuomas definitely speaks through his music, it's obvious if you look at older interviews, he doesn't feel very comfortable answering personal questions.
The melody in this song is almost beyond beautiful and it's funny how you say that it's hard to pinpoint Floor down in a category. I always say she is a story telling singer, she feels the music and does exactly what a song needs to shine.🤘🏽
Note the boy raising his arms to the swans. In Finnish mythology, the swan is the psychopomp, the guide of the dead, of the soul.
This song always chokes me up, just beautiful!
😢😥Beautiful!!
Thank you Frogers, your kind words mean a lot to us!
This song saved me in so many ways Thomas is absolut master and floor is as always a absolut goddes thank you both for the absolut awesome reaction send your both all love and Support and good vibes 🥰
THANK YOU MARCO!!! 😊😊😊
Great review again, now is it time for poet and the pendulum ✊🤗
One of if not the best for me.
Floor is charismatic and so versatile!
Background things
Swan on the screen: In Finnish mythology and folklore, the swan was the divine messenger between the living and the dead. Tuonelan Joutsen (Swan of Tuonela) carries the dead to afterlife.
This from their book: Once Upon a Nightwish: The Official Biography 1996 - 2006
Timeline: year 2000.
------------------------
Besides the choir, the album featured some other guest artists, Ike Vil of Babylon Whores contributed some deranged self-inspection for 'The Kinslayer', and 'Dead Boy's Poem' featured a child's voice. He even knew where Finnvox was and promised to meet us there."
The professionalism of young Sam Hardwick made a deep impression on Tuomas. "When he arrived at the studio, I had to ask him to wait for ten minutes or so, and he just pulled a book from his pocket and sat down to read", Tuomas says. "I gave him the poem, and he read it through a few times. We did some editing, and Sam just sat down on the studio floor and read his book, after which I asked him to read the poem a couple of more times."
"When I started talking about his reward, he wouldn't hear anything about it. So Sam Hardwick made a big contribution to our music."
For Tuomas, 'Dead Boys Poem' is a deeply personal song. A Finnish man rarely thanks anyone, or says he's sorry, but for me at least, it was possible through music."
"I still live at my mom and dad's, who are the best people in the world, but I've never been able to tell them what I think about them", Tuomas confesses. Musically, it's really good, too, definetely the best song on 'Wishmaster' - maybe the best Nightwish song ever."
It had not gone unnoticed by Tarja that Tuomas expressed his feelings through music.
I think you really caught the meaning of the song.
And Kai was Jukkas teacher and mentor.
My favorite song.
Great reaction Ladies. Thanks.
Keep going with. Nightwish 😝👍🇦🇺👍
💕💕👌👌😍😍 Marko's Warwick/Framus hybride beast.
I love your reactors to Nightwish!
Also, to the mother, I secretly want to be your stepson ☺
Much Love to both of you and Ukraine
💙💛💙🌻🌻🌻
Aw that’s so sweet! She always wanted a son ☺️
@@generationgapreacts 🙂🤗
I really liked the guitar on this one.
You can take a peek in the community tab on the Nightwish RUclips channel. 😉
Thank you for the video, reaction and comments.
This is my favorite Nightwish song, so touching and beautiful ❣️
It is called necks so it is a double-neck guitar. And very good interpretation of the song and what it means for Tuomas
Since the first time I listened to this song, I definitely understood what Tuomas was writing about. I put down my feelings on canvas, as I love being in the forest, next to a stream, and sketching my next painting.
Watsch empus face by his gitarr solo he knose the Story behind the song Dad Boys Poem is one of Toumas Personal Songs
This has always been one of my favs
Great reaction.
Hi there great video! And if you want an other great balad song check Nightwish-Sleeping sun live at Tampere 2015 and Yours is an empty hope is a must!
What you have seen with Jukka as a drummer has been from 2013, Kai Hatho has been on board since 2014 until now.
Most double necked guitars are a 12 string on the top for a fuller sound, and a standard 6 string on the bottom neck.
He said
”This is the most personal song I’ve ever written.
An Ocean Soul.”
NWSU 🤘😎🤘.
Well done - bloody good understanding 🙂
Just a reminder before you listen to the poet and the pendulum...lookup the backstory first. The song will make so much more sense.
I love Floor she is the Danish Boudica
Dutch but yes
Greetings from UK
Another great reaction, thank you 😁
Don't panic! Yukka is back behind the drums on the next two songs on the list
The next song is 'Ghost River'. Marko sings all the way through that one, you see Emppu's mischievous side and Floor does a little growl
I think it has a decidedly '80s feel to it
By the way, Everdream is not in your Nightwish playlist 😉
In old finnish mythology the swan is the one that takes you from the living to the dead. Look how the little boy want to follow them...
Several great live versions, and, a killer music video are available to choose from.
say hei to your mom from finland. i love her jewelry
I would like you young ladies to react to phantom of the opera from amsterdam with floor and henke port with the nightwish band. You will be astonished especially at the ending. It is different than the beste zangers duet.
I'd love to see your reaction the The Guess Who -- American Woman
I love this version, but I love even more the Tarja's rendition
What kind of singer is Floor? Whatever she wants to be 🤘
Gap ladies, I would like you to react to "Someday Soon" by Suzy Bogguss in honor of the man who wrote that iconic song, Ian Tyson, who passed away just a little over a week ago on Dec 29, 2022. The song has been covered by sooooo many people! It was first made famous by Judy Collins, But I really like Suzy Bogguss's hit version.
Mom is very cute
You guys should review Floors cover oh Heart Alone !!!!!
Jukka is still with the band in management
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘
Once you really hear the words, they'll never leave your hart and soul... as so many children to their parents, I too "failed in becoming a God"... Tuomas Holopainen, you f*cking genius.
Greetings from Utah 🤘
I also miss Jukka on drums.
Also I believe Jukka is still part of the band behind the scenes, so still in the family
(Can't stand Sarah Brightman's voice BTW.)
Marco plays The Beast quite often.
Hmm... looks like you're trying to compete with General himself.😁
It's nice to read your comments. You always provide some good info.👍
nice reaction ladies i'm back . i apologize for my last post
🤩👌💥💯🎼
🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
That's Marco's doubleneck, and indeed, it's a bass and guitar. Marco uses it in several songs.
Don't do the poet and the pendulum without looking up the backstory. You'll be lost!
😊🇫🇮💙🪄🎼✨💯🤘
Since you really like Nightwish you should check out Within Temptation
From the same concert please react to Sllaying the dreamer
React to Elvis' My Way. Aloha 1973's show. You'll tear up in no time. lol
Have you guys done everdream ..wacken 2013..nightwish
We have! Here’s the link: ruclips.net/video/BSiPcUWyql4/видео.html
An other great reaction from you, don't know if you did "She is sin" but that is a good song if you want mor Jukka drumming (Wacken 2013 is good one).
See you soon
Please make the playlist in order you have reacted the songs ok?
For something entirely different again, you should check out their performance of "The Islander" live in Tampere. ruclips.net/video/Zo8ncK_5kzc/видео.html
New sub from down under …. Not in my top 10 of NW songs . Could you do slaying the dreamer live beunos airies ( same concert as I want my tears back ) please, please, please
Please react to dimash sos
Hope you just take a moment and try to react to ANGELICA HALE just once
This may be the only Nighwish song where I actually prefer Tarja's vocal to Floor.
