I do believe that when Mike Muir got in touch, or was rather pushed into having conversations with psychologists ... the field was way different than it is today. These days, most psychologists work on changing people's learned patterns by applying behaviour changing techniques. There's not that much psychoanalyzing anymore - it's way more pragmatic and effective.
