As an Everton supporter, I am a bit perplexed by my feelings on this. It feels like my neighbor just came over to tell me that his dog that I loved to play with has "gone upstate to live on a farm." It wasn't my dog, but the future seems a bit less bright without the prospect of seeing him bouncing in his backyard, waiting to, once again, destroy my hopes of seeing a derby win before one of my woefully mistreated internal organs finally decides to "move upstate to live on a farm," taking me along with it.

I saw the news in bed this morning at 6.30 am... been through all the emotions, shock, anger, sadness, confusion, question, disarray, more shock... I fought tears until you start talking about his hug. I couldnt hold back anymore. Because it made me realize that he has transformed not just players but even spectators, one hug at a time. We were languishing in hopelessness for decades. He came and made it FUN to watch our team play. Even though the hard times, like last season, we stuck together and looked forward for a rebuild, because we believed. Now am filled with gratitude, and the feeling of being honored and privileged to have him on our side for 9 years. He will forever be our beloved and deeply revered "Normal One". YNWA.

He's a great man and a great peer to his fellow peers in the game. Show empathy for fellow managers and players who were sacked or under pressure. Open about looking up and showing Alex.F respect and love is something very special. He changed the way the game is played, unlike the olden days when managers trash talk and play mind games. He is an incredible human being.

YES- He IS empathetic. It is totally evident his greatest talent is his emotional intelligence. You are right, Rog, that it is an ever more rare currency in life and business. So much so, that society is crumbling under the weight of this battle between inhumane and cruel capitol accumulation and fairness and the beating, bleeding heart of our humanity. It is why I find 'The Special One' so offensive, and 'The Normal One' so deeply compelling...

How refreshing to hear an unblinkered Evertonian recognise Jurgen Klopp's humanity.. Win, lose or draw he'd have a comment to make. He never shied away from the public. What a contrast to when Mike Phelan would be sent out by Ferguson to talk to the media after a Utd defeat..
Thank you Jurgen for those unforgettable moments that gave us all goose pimples.. overturning a 3-0 first leg to beat Barcelona 4-0, at Anfield - possibly our greatest ever win (up there with Istanbul) and too many others to list them. Thank you, thank you.. I've been a Red since 1969 and the last 9 years have been magic. Hope the boys can do you proud and give you the send-off you deserve.

There are many reasons to admire Klopp. Of course, his success as a manager but also, his celebration of diversity, postivity and sportsmanship. But, more then anything - his use of german dad jokes. And, making german dad jokes funny. Often, we make comments about the "german sense of humour" and "dad jokes." Jurgan while being successful, celebrating diversity, positivity and sportmanship brought us something greater, a shared laughter at german dad jokes.
    Thanks for the laughs.
(we'll still make fun of the german sense of humour and dad jokes....when we do, we will have wonderful memories of Jurgan Klopp. The man who perfected the "german dad joke") I wish him the best of luck this season and in all he does in the future.

So proud of him and all he’s done for us. We still have a great run to look forward to! I am starting to believe something broke his spirit that he could not finish out his contract. He’s only 56. I have confidence in FSG, however I think changes are coming. YNWA

This was a wonderful tribute. Going to feel different next season. For the whole premier league.
Hope he goes out singing loudly about 12:30 kick offs and finally gets to have a proper go at Paul Tierney.

Very nice of you to speak of him as fondly as a "rival" I can say I'm gutted myself but extremely grateful for all he has gave us. Even utd fans I work with say I hate the team but Klopp is funny. High praise in disguise lol but it's true, his warmth and sheer talent have to be recognised. Like a Liverpool fan will say about Ferguson. Some managers shine so bright that even the rival fan has to take a bow at their immense and rare talent.

When we won the prem BT sport released a video- “Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s journey since 1993”. It was a lovely video backed by “Strange Weather” by Anna Calvi, the video ends with an amazing scene of Jürgen walking under the “This is Anfield sign” as the track sings “I’ve loved before, I’ll love again, I know that yours was true.”
I’ve watched that video back with tears in my eyes about 10 to 12 times since the news broke. We’ve loved before, I’m sure we’ll love again, but this love is true.
I think the last gift of the man was not leaving last year, or at any of our lows, but leaving when we don’t want him to, and he doesn’t want to. Waiting until we are seemingly on the right path again-“he fired” himself “because I knew no one else was ever going to do it.”
A measure of the man, another gift from a legend. Danke Jürgen.

This video is why an Evertonians RUclips channel is a safe haven for me by the way. I love that we can live on the outside of the anger and animosity that exists between clubs and rivalries and appreciate the best of one another. It’s the same thing that made me crack a smile when Frank kept Everton up and they rushed the pitch. Sometimes the humanity that brings us together is stronger than the symbols that we’ve decided separate us.

I lost my grandad in November, he was 79. He was a proper Toffee, been going the game sonce the 50s. His loss was devastating. Some of the happiest moments he and I had revolved around football, he being a blue and me a red. The time woth Jurgen in charge qas the best for us. We'd endlessly discuss and gush about the job he was doing. My grandad understood that Jurgen got Liverpool. He has been hope and happiness to us all in the city. His loss to the club feels like a mini bereavement in itself, but like my grandad would say, it is better to cherish the moments

Thanks a lot for that vlog mate.
I’m a Red and would be gutted if the Blues went down as Merseyside Derby’s are two fixtures in the EPL that are in the top 10 of games of the season.
And Liverpool people would lose jobs!
My family are 2/3rds Red and none of us are bitter.
Yeah, I was shocked but I think his lads are around about University age so maybe he wants to go back to Germany for maybe re him me time.
I reckon he’ll have a year out and take the National job, if it’s offered, and go to a World Cup as the German National team needs a good shake up.
He once said ‘how people feel you when you enter a job means nothing, what they feel about you when you leave is much important! I think he’ll go down on par with Shanks, Bob Paisley, Rafa and Dalglish (part 1).
Goodluck with the rest of the season, I hope you get those 10 pts squashed!!

That’s a extraordinarily generous summation from an Everton fan…
But Everton could never hate Klopp, because he lifted the city of Liverpool…
Of course he loved his club, but he loved Liverpool the city more…

Greetings from Tampa, Rog - lived in Nashville 1991-2018, was there when you came for your dog...
Was pretty cool of the Titans new coach to quote Jürgen, then absolutely gutted when the news broke last week that he was leaving.
But the club will go on & we'll get behind the new Gaffer! UTFR YNWA JFT97
