I have participated in the CX-90 Drive Experience, here in Canada and drove the MHEV (both versions of inline 6) and PHEV variants of CX-90. Of course, I loved the Artisan red with Windsor Tan Nappa Leather interior combo of the CX-90 Signature (Top trim inline 6 CX-90 in Canada). I found the brakes on the CX-90 Signature to be too sensitive and slight delay of power delivery initially at hard acceleration. The turning circle was amazing on this 3-row SUV !! The MX-30 inspired transmission lever felt out of place. The much larger Active Driving Display on the CX-90 was nice to see. The engine sound from the e Skyactiv G was awesome too. No artificial engine sound was being pumped into the cabin, according to Mazda Canada. Since my wife has been telling me that we need a 3-row SUV, I took her to the CX-90 Drive Experience and she agreed with me that our next vehicle will be the Artisan Red with Windsor Tan Nappa Leather Signature MHEV CX-90.

The CX9 has a proven engine/trans that been out forever. Plus no stupid annoying stop/start! The CX90 has an all new engine and trans that will have problems like all first year models of any redesigned vehicle. It’s also disappointing they’re forcing a hybrid on u, I personally don’t want a hybrid. Gonna hold on to my 22 CX9 for a long time.

I like all of the other upgrades that come with the new platform (memory stuff, climate seats, pano roof)....but the CX-9 Signature had softer, more comfortable seats and MUCH better real wood trim accents them my $61,000 CX-90, ha ha.

Thanks to this and another of your recent videos, I've got a better handle on the actual appearance of Soul Crystal Red & Machine Grey. My Murano is a variation of the Machine Grey, which is imo a classy "pewter" type color. I look lean toward the Soul Crystal Red because red's my favorite color. My only reservation at this point is a reported "harmonic vibration" in third gear on some units, which is a potential con for early adopters of a new platform, until the "bugs" get worked out. Thanks Jonathon! 👍🏻

There are no curviture in the door, no rear fender flares, the

Mazda is currently sitting second in the reliability ratings, only behind Lexus, and ahead of Toyota. CX-90 is surely going to change this, unfortunately. Already too many issues reported, especially with the hybrid versions. Which is sad… but to be expected for the first year of production. Personally, I will wait at least 3-4 years before upgrading from CX-9 to CX-90. Currently own ‘22 Touring Plus, and there’s simply no other vehicle with the same price/quality proposition, and I’ve compared it against pretty much everything, including vehicles that are substantially more expensive, such as Volvo XC-90, Acura MDX, Infiniti QX60, etc. MDX with SH-AWD is really close, but would I pay 10-15K more to get it?
