When see saw how much I loved my boggie board, she wanted me to learn to surf. She paid for lessons everyday for me on that trip. Then when I would ask my mom for a surfboard, she’d tell me to ask grandma. Spring break was always in Hawaii (mom worked for United) after my birthday. Grandma would get me a new board. If I saved up $100 (it was the 80’s & early 90’s) & threaded in an old broad; she would tell me to keep my money, buy me a 2nd board. Always telling my mom I paid for the board myself. Last trip with her I was 21 & was all about going out. Had my own hotel room for my gf & I. As hungover I was meet her for breakfast & surfed for her to watch me. Had some Primo Beer, Mai Tai’s or Blue Hawaiin’s & lunch from the Outrigger’ pool bar after with her,my mom & gf. Do to my grandma’s age & health we only made it to the North Shore once that trip. It was for lunch, playing tourist & dinner. My grandma embraced the Aloha spirit so much & loved the Hawaiian people & culture so much. She would tell me how friends & family were at her house for Sunday supper & the news of Pearl Harbor came on the radio. One trip with her best friend when we went to Pearl, I was 8-10, seeing how they were; 9/11 I understood. Sorry for rambling on. The video hit some amazing memories. And yes breadstick.
My uncle was a pilot for Pan Am until they collapsed, based out of Berlin. When they folded he went to KLM. Which basically meant we could go anywhere ,but it was on us when we got there. That first flight in '98 from LAX to HK then Singapore to Denpasar(my mom was going thru a Buddhist phase),noone knew a whole lot about Islamic extremism, certainly not in Indo. But we learned real quick.Noone in the media was covering it but Suharto was still in charge and the gov't didn't give a s*** anyway. Violence was everywhere. We were talked out of going to Java by some Danish tourists.We spent maybe a grand over 10 days,and we rented a scooter. Me and my brother spent most of our time on Kuta on boogie boards, and they were still the best waves we had ever ridden. We took all the money we had and bought an ancient twin-fin Brewer that I'd sell my soul to have back. We traded off ,no leash, until we were so sunburnt we started surfing in long sleeve shirts. Everyone in the water-and back then it was like you wanted more people in the lineup just to see where it was-were the coolest , nicest people I'd ever met. I'd love to go back,but I've heard Bali has changed alot.

I spent last week in Hawaii for the first time. I body surfed a few waves at a place called gums. This is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. The sand doesn’t seem real and the water is crystal clear. So incredible. Next time I have $15 million I’m gonna buy a house there.
The website doesn’t verify what sodium is used in their products-is it Himalayan pink salt???????I just ordered the electrolyte packets to take camping hiking snowboarding mountain biking for quick use I typically carry Himalayan pink salt and a few potassium tabs along w magnesium But packets are great to have quick access in my backpacks as well Love your channel
Hey Koa i live in canada love ur channel Listen was jyst watching ur spring break vid and have a Q for u: Is it possible when u are surfing a wave on N shore to jump out the back side as the wave is slowing and catch the next one ?. ( ie: stay standing on board with no re-setting OR paddling ) COOL
Depends on the wave, but 90% of the time no. When there's a set on any reef break, there's an *interval* period that all the pros memorize (and eventually becomes instinct) at their spots. It could be 6 seconds, or 12 seconds, or it could be 25 seconds, or less in a heavy storm surge. Announcers at a contest will typically point it out multiple times. Because the peak of the next wave ends up so far behind where they once were on the current wave, it is very hard to do. However, at this years Eddie Akau, this was done again on the shore break- made famous by Andy Irons at the Eddie in 2009. It's on RUclips. So it is possible, but practically always done on a shore break wave. So from a reef break, traveling on to a shore break wave is where youll find footage of it. A strictly reef break wave is close to impossible. On shore break waves, it can definitely be done but the wind speed and direction is most important. All the right conditions need to line up.

That cop at the Eddie was a total jerk. The crowd was insane. I was tensing up, worried that you weren't going to make your heat. It was like a bad dream. And, then that cop comes up and was so unhelpful and downright rude. I can imagine something like that could throw you off your game, but you handled it well.
Currently in the Midwest a thing that everybody does is use the toilet. And so looking like a French thing because toilet is a French word, people need to be aware of the reason why they need to poo 💩 and when it’s an appropriate time and place. Also please don’t break the toilet’s at work or leave poo 💩 in one do everyone else has to see it at work. P.S. be careful with the tampon holders too. 🎉 happy birthday my friends in Hawaii
