- Out doing what I do best seek and destroy...
So much happens in a single shift for me that I literally am never shocked or surprised anymore. I've learned over the vast 35 year career as a repoman that when dealing with other people anything can and will happen.
I make no apologize for my life and live without regrets. This is why I am so Happy with a capital H.
Live, love and learn. Learn to love yourself and really live...
Peace
Hell yeah you are back at it!!! You are too good not to be doing this. Stay healthy and focused brotha, sending love and support.
I think the problem most people don't realize is that they shouldn't be budgeting a multi year expense on best case scenarios. Just because the dealer can get you financing doesn't mean that they're trying to be your friend or that you should be relying on his financial advice. That dealer get's paid - Lump sum - right up front. They don't care if you can't make your payments, credit gets ruined, or you hit rock bottom.
good to see your personal skills are still valuable in this day and age.. Talking to someone and convincing them based on merit vs what has happened to society
Great work Matt.
Bingo! You should get a spotter and repo fee for that score.
Awesomeness
It’s not fair that men get better looking with age. Matt you look fantastic.
I had a feeling he would post some kind of videos of actual cars in the future! Thanks!
Your the man..
Nice frosted tips you got there.
Good to see you survived the big house.
You should do a video of the people that use PO boxes as their actual addresses for vehicles. When I was in repossession I found a lot of people will put the address of say a UPS store and then use their lock box as their apartment or suite number.
At the end, that looks like living in the Truman Show. How depressing to live in suburbia like that!
Ugly, characterless houses. Might as well just buy a condo or stay in an apartment. I'd take a nice used house and used car over what this guy had
Not everyone likes the same thing. I like the older houses, especially if they are one floor and you can get to (and fix) everything easily, but there are a lot of people who aren't looking to make an individual statement with their property or have a big patch that takes a lot of time to take care of.
I want to be either in the woods, or the middle of the desert with a half mile or longer driveway, on many acres, preferably with a runway. Just a winning lottery ticket away, lol. 😁
700 a month to drive one car. That would mean 31 hours at work per month for me on my net income for an appliance. No thanks
Yet this guy/girl chose to finance this vehicle based on a binding contract for this “appliance” as you say. Not the best idea based on your or their income apparently!
You should see what guys are paying a month to drive those f250 and f350's! 700/month is half of their payment!
@Jay Kay Na, I make decent money. Problem is the government takes to much of it.
That's why I own 35, 27, and the newest, 14 year old vehicles. Zero payments. Just have to turn wrenches every so often, and keep the oil changed. My newest one is broken down for the second time in 2 years with a blown transmission. The other 2 are running like the day they left the showroom with 274,000, and 201,000 miles. Par for the 21st Century course.
What’s amazing is the underachievers that accept a loan for years and can’t commit. It’s not the banks fault, it’s not the vehicle manufacturers fault...who’s really to blame? There’s nothing wrong with a used vehicle, some people feel they’re entitled to a new vehicle they can’t afford.
People are never educated about personal finance in school.
@@JarrettWilliams99 Thats actually a huge problem, they learn all sorts of ridiculous mathematical equations, and yet when it comes to a simple thing like managing personal check book, they are pretty much left defenseless.
Its always been like that though, the education system is too wrapped up in stupid shit like common core to see the forest through the trees.
Ever notice how many car commercials there are on in a football game or local news? It did not shock me when the pandemic started that the amount of expensive cars were picking food in the charity food lines. So many leasers, ghetto fabulous donkeys.
I had 5 cars on loans. Full coverage on every one of them. $3500 per month in car payments and insurance. After 8 years as a general manager and 13 years in the same company I got wrapped up in the middle of corporate down sizing. I was offered a severance of 5k or a minimum wage job part time. Either way I couldn't pay the car loans any longer. It's not always the buyers lack of ability to budget either. I had to pick 3 cars to send back. Be careful who you blame for financial woes.
@@tankscrittersandurbanhomes5579 5 cars on loans at once?
Over extending bites people in the ass all the time.
One hard ship, and life changes.
When I worked a corporate gig (GE) we kept a fairly modest household, and yea, loans for two cars, but that was it.
We could have done more. (Like many of our friends did) but they all ended up in the same boat you did.
When our big layoffs hit, Most lost their cars, and homes as well.
If you are upside on a vehicle pay it off or get right with it before getting another one some people never learn.
I work with a lot of tow company that don't door knock and it makes me frustrated.
Kids look. Here is a mother example of people who have new car fever that make bad financial decisions. Can’t fix stupid. Sounds like they rolled the negative equity from the Xtera into the new car loan.
Better off selling the xterra then continue to payoff loan while getting financed for another car.
Press the big red "That was Easy" button.
me either. absolutely nothing at all.
$700 a month for a Passat, brought to you by the folks at Santander.
Might want to blur out the plate
@Jay Kay Matt can do whatever he wants with his videos. The plate is visible, and readable of a car that is being repossessed by Matt. The company he is employed by or the person getting the car repossessed may not like this placed on youtube with identifiable information like that.
It's expired...
Get a used truck. Even if it needs maintenance, As long as you know how to use a wrench, then it w
The nice boring easy repos. I have learned easy and boring is good.
Wow, $700.00 a month on a VW? Damn.......
It's telling that the dude says "700 dollars is a stiff price for a car". It's the monthly that these people think of. Besides that, if it is so "stiff" why in the hell did he agree to purchase it in the first place? Americans.
Biggest failing in this country is teaching everyone in school finance, investment, deprecation on cars. $700 a month on a jetta??? How about $700 a month into a index fund. Get a used honda accord that will last you for 10 more years do a PPI before you buy!!!
Get a truck and operate brother .
He can’t
$700 a month for a vw holy crap
700 dollars a month for a Volkswagen? Wtf lol
Looks like you just repossessed a car and you are not licensed to do that. Please explain.
He did not repo it, they surrendered it! 😉
@@willmcwhorter1259 That is called a voluntary repossession. You need to be licensed to do that.
He's a recovery specialist 😉
@@melissamcclain34 also an ex-felon. Pretty slippery slope even with a voluntary repossession. If he wants to be a a recovery agent (again) he'll probably need to get his record expunged.
