I'd love to see Rhun get some touch ups in the future. They're a fun faction, but something about them just feel as polished as most of the rest of the factions.
For me biggest obstacle is way too long recruitment time for Golden boys - we all are here to play using them and suddenly fielding full stack takes ages in mid game :(
@@nathanjensen2773I’m sure this is what Reforged does. You have the basic tribal unit look Upgrade 1 gives them silver armour Upgrade 2 gives them gold armour Would be good to see this in DaC at some point if the devs have time.
Enmahad and Mattaram are super rich provinces with good mines so it's good to take them early since Rhun economy is struggling in early game. Also there is a danger of Mordor grabbing those regions.
yeah, agreed. Once mines and sea trade start kicking in this is the richest faction in the game pretty much - but you do need to rush rebels in early game to make sure you get the benefits.
Those chariots are anti-cav, they absolutely wreck anything they get the charge on. Need a lot of micro but definitely the most impactful unit on the roster if you take control of them.
you could give rhun a special beast unit for uniting all the artefacts... like, you put all of them on a general and send them somewhere and then you get like a baby dragon or something...
Those Loke Nar-Rim have abysmal stats as archers considering how impressive those huge composite longbows of theirs look (along with their generally elite appearance). A lot of unit's stats don't make intuitive sense in relation to their appearance/tier/background in DaC unfortunately; mostly I assume due to "balancing". High Elves for example should be more expensive and have smaller unit sizes like in Fourth Age: Total War but instead they are laughably weak considering how powerful they actually are (despite their divine essence fading a little bit in the Third Age relative to their might in the First Age). Thankfully, it is very easy to mod this game yourself to tweak stuff like this to your liking.
Would you consider changing general portraits a bit more in the future? It doesn't sit right with me that Khand and Rhun have the same often repeating Harad ones. A bit of a hit in roleplay in which this mod is so strong in.
Are there plans for changes in Rhun roster? Early tier units look bad and are not very in clima while there are submods that unify the entire roster as different levels of golden boys.
@@ImperatorIke573 iirc the mod was called Rhunnic Empire. It also has completly OP flamethrower unit and extra artillery in form of rocket launcher like the one in vanilla med2.
I'm not sure all of the early units look bad. The Arulad units are actually very detailed and look very cool to me, even if they're not golden. Honestly I'm of the opinion that it's all right for units in a faction to have looks that vary a little; I love ND's Arthedain Knights but I wouldn't want every single unit in the faction, regardless of unit tier, to just be an Arthedain Knight with a different weapon!
When will DAC introduce the engine overhaul? It is really annoying having custom bodyguards getting stuck at 77soldiers per unit even if their regular strength should be at 100-120?
@@Augimundthe most I know of the engine overhaul is the bodyguard limit. But are there any other cool features of the overhaul DaC is planning on using or aware of?
Hey great video! Quick question though; there are warlord Kataphracts and other units that weren’t shown, are these available in campaign or only in custom battles? Thank you!
hello, im a long term player and dont keep up with the info on the game too much however how do you get the campaign map to look like this? is it something thats being released in a new version or a submod for the game? and help from anyone would be greatly appreciated
The newest version includes a launcher that has a few options such as these campaign map textures, permanent arrows, alternate javelin animations, and skipping the Khazad Dum expedition. The new installer creates a desktop shortcut to that launcher.
I’ve already asked around, but is it possible to permanently loose the ring as Mordor? I don’t want to miss Sauron, but the ring is very far away and I don’t have many resources to go get it.
I dont think so, but you can wait until it pops up after 25 turns in another settlement. If you go for it it dont forget that your general have only 7 ancilleries, otherwise he will not find the ring
@@Vuile25 ah, thanks! I was worried because I’ve heard the Mordor ai had the ring fall to them eventually, and I was afraid there was a counter script where it may be destroyed instead.
just conquer the region and leave a general in place for a turn, all the spy and diplomat stuff is just flavour text. Its more something to aim for in the end game to make it more interesting rather than a meaningful buff you need to rush for.

You can edit this in the export_descr_building file for rn until they possibly update it to make it more fun for you
@@psps54they could do is add a upgraded variant like some factions have. Whenever u train them up at a blacksmith they get that gold look

Would be cool if the dragon ancillaries scripts give you some additional unlocks like better mines or smiths
Found your channel yesterday, looked for Rhûn an hour ago, checked again right now and here we go!

Go south and take them before Mordor swoops in
Rhun aka tribal evil Gondor.
I do love them 😊

Also the music in the background, not sure if it’s from the mod but it fits the Easterlings perfectly 👌🏻

I really do appreciate these videos. I love this mod and like learning the ins and outs of the factions and the unique scrips
Looking forward to your next campaign! Keep up the good work.
I think I like their units the most.
Ah my nemesis as Dale, Erebor, and Dorwinion player! Haha!
I hope they get some sand mistic stuff like a dark ritual that makes the desert grow or some shet like that.
I didn't like Loke Scion Rim over spears , looked way too goofy for me so I changed it back to V4.5.
Golden sun music in the background? nice!
Happy easter for all easterlings
What happens if Rhun gives the one Ring to Mordor?
What happens if Rhun keeps the one Ring?
Is there perks and bonuses to either or?
Starting to play them tonight!

Theres a RUclips video on how to install it for Med 2 mods
It’s easy to install it yourself, and it seems like they’re intending on using it in V6

Khand gets black numenorians and war beasts so is there any real reason to play Rhun over Khand other than the aesthetics ?
You know maybe it is JUST because of appearance haha because I do keep going back to them 😂
