"If it ain't broke, why fix it?" This is probably the biggest question surrounding McDaniels' tenure, cause the Raiders have nearly all the pieces to become a serious contender. With the way McDaniels reacted after hearing that speech, I think I have the answer to why this team struggled under him: pride. The Seven Deadly Sins define pride as "excessive belief in one's own abilities", and this fits McDaniels very well. The Raiders already have their core assembled, but McDaniels wants to build HIS core rather than use what was already available, tying in to the definition of pride I shared. Considering he did this twice, to the same predictable results, it's hard to see McDaniels get another head coaching gig again. Running back to Belichick may not be an option this time either, given the mess the Patriots are in. At the very least, McDaniels is set for life if he manages his finances properly, since Mark Davis is literally still paying him money to stay away from the team (4 years left in that 6 year lucrative contract, being fired does not void the contract, so yes, McDaniels is still under Davis' payroll).

The only reason Josh McDaniels is considered such a great offensive mind is because he has Belachick to put him in check if he wandered to far from the program and because he had Tom Brady as a buffer from bad calls. They both made McDaniels look good. It was quickly discovered when he arrived at Denver how bad he really was. Denver is still trying to recover years later from his influence in 1.5 seasons. The head scratcher is why Mark Davis would hire him even at the behest of Zeigler after seeing what he did to Denver.
Josh McDaniels was successful because he had Tom Brady hands down. Tom Brady ran the offense did his audibles and basically knew what he wanted to do on offense. Tom Brady motivated the offensive players in kept them on track. Basically all Josh McDaniels had to do is say yes and maybe a nice job and looks great and cool right on bro that's all Josh McDaniels had a pretty much say to Tom Brady. @@billyt9987I would have to agree with you as well. As a man how do you put that on your kids. I get they need to know that they are moving but you do that shit way differently than ruin the kids holiday.
Actually, I'd *love* to see Josh McDaniels coaching an XFL squad, or whatever they become after the merger. Because when he has to answer sideline reporters live questions, we're going to get a glimpse of what he's like as a coach when his moves are being questioned by people he can't control. It will put on display for everyone exactly what goes on his his head, and give a glimpse as to what it's like to be under Bellichek.
I don't think he would last long there, we would probably see his first meltdown with the reporters two or three weeks into the season, and it would be all downhill from then on. He is full of pride and has learned nothing from his failures.
Hey Mike, AWESOME VID!!! ONLY thing I need to correct you on is when you made the comment about Brady's statement when he said (and I'm paraphrasing) but he said "y'all chose that MFer over me" and you thought it was in reference to DC but it wasn't, bc the Raiders were ready to sign Brady and do anything to get him, he then decided to just retire , it's not like the raiders said "we don't want Brady we want to keep DC" if that was the case then yes but it was not, Brady was talking about Jimmy G . Just thought I should throw that out there but otherwise flawless video bro!

I feel the same way about New Orleans and Dennis Allen….I think he and a lot of the staff are in over their head. I feel like we could be a lot better than we are playing, record wise, play calling….I want a new coach and staff in the 504.
4:33 AYO WTF 😂 you zesty for that mike
Love your vids man, keep up the work g 🔥
How this guy is at the NFL level coaching is amazing
He had the easiest job in the world when he was in New England while Tom was there
Denver has been to two super bowls since he left and won one, I think they recovered just fine
Bro what you said at 4:30 mark is the insane thing I've heard all week 😂😂😂😂😂
That’s an oddly specific analogy…
4:39 ayyyy yooooo. wtf. nah mike you gotta sit down after that one my boy. no pause or nothin. suspect as fuck lol
Damn a McDaniels Bukkaki!! Lol😅😅😅
sone of these analogies are wild bro
The Halloween story tells you all you need to know about this man. The only person in his life is himself.
bro I didnt need to hear that circle jerk bukkake analogy hahahaha that came outta nowhere
McDaniel's wasn't broken as a man, he's never been a man. Now, he'll never be a head coach again.
McDaniels shares the same motto as James Harden:
*”I AM THE SYSTEM!”*
What was that analogy Mike? Jay also had a crazy analogy
Crazy analogy 🌰⏸️
That's crazy he put that on his kids. I thought he was a joke of a head coach after he got fired the first time.
Yeah, now everyone knows he's a joke of a father as well.
@@billyt9987I would have to agree with you as well. As a man how do you put that on your kids. I get they need to know that they are moving but you do that shit way differently than ruin the kids holiday.
Yo mike that analogy was super crazy bruh lol
He deserves to be back in the NFL. He's being black balled because of how great he is!
@@mt.2237 "Tell me why you're in the Land of Delusion"
lmaooooo the mcdaniels break down is best one in awhile.
Love your video Mike and keep up the great work you are awesome and as a Raiders fan I'm happy he is gone
Yooooo.. That analogy was CRAZY😂😂
I still want to hear more about what it was about his personality that players didnt like.
I think it was more lack of personality!
It’s his since of entitlement
Damn bro that bukkake analogy is vicious.
Josh McDaniels: We're going back to New England
It's just the best when Mike puts someone who is DONE in front of the XFL backdrop.....
This was a perfect opportunity to use the projector to fire the coach. BTW where is the projector Amy?
Dog that was the worst analogy you could give in that situation
Great stuff Mikey!
As my pops once said “The Raiders will never be great again if they continue to hire coaches that look like they should be working at AT&T”
i haven’t seen any other locker rooms where the players get to smoke had to be the raiders
to be devils advocate, alot of these reports have nobody signing off on them lol ... "Insiders say ... !"
McDaniels the kinda of guy to close the refrigerator door with his hips
The fact you said that he got on his knees and stuff was the best haha
Lol what an analogy
Josh McDaniels is the type of coach that yells in the team room and says, "This is my team, I'm in charge!"
4:34 is the most outrageous thing i’ve ever heard in sports media 💀
Maybe Josh can a job at Walmart as a greeter.
He`d piss people off!
That music got me good. Super ear worm then I remembered slamming my penith in the car door.
MIKE THAT ANALOGY WAS OUTTA POCKET AS FUCK 😭
Bro they’re smoking cigars after beating the giants in the locker room🤣🤣🤣
but Maxx Crosby didnt confirm the "Never talk about the Patriots that way" - he said that quote was irritating. and didnt go down that way.
I could have told you so Raiders....😂😂
i can’t not hear that freestyle rap beat that i’ve been rapping over for years in the background lolol
hell of an analogy my guy lmaoooo
