      Back in the year 2000 the government tried to call it the Dallas metropolitan area but Fort Worth objected and the government had to back down and call it the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and that’s how the name came about. Dallas did not object.

    • @Imperial0666
      @Imperial0666 4 года назад

      @@MrDariolett they were going to add Fort Worth as a suburb of Dallas they weren't going to split Fort Worth off as a separate metro area. I don't understand because the city of Dallas really doesn't have that much influence over the whole region. Dallas is not the same status as Houston or Chicago. They have to add Fort Worth to make the metro area look bigger than it really is. Dallas really is in the same tier as cities like Denver or Cincinnati on its own
      and Fort Worth is similar to Oklahoma City or Indianapolis on its own.

  • @felipearaiza2903

    They shouldn't have said DFW, instead just keep it Dallas. Why does Dallas get all the cool shit and not Fort Worth? Fort Worth is growing too. 🤔 They didn't mention all the shit Fort Worth is doing.

      It's because Fort Worth in the Metroplex gets treated like Oakland in the Bay Area. Fort Worth is larger than Oakland, but same affect of SF to OAK as with Dal to FW. Glamour City gets the love and credit rather than its "rougher around the edges" population adding neighboring city.

    They should make the Trinity flood plain a little nicer. Most of the year it’s just a dirty area outside downtown.
    They need to increase public transportation A LOT!! That should be a huge focus.
    The skyline isn’t good for a world class city like Dallas. More modernization of the city is needed.

    One doesn't create a park over night in such a homogenous way, but an overall French like plaza (place) happens by stitching together numbers of parks and trails together over a period of decades.
    Think of the Katy Trail today which is really such a special plaza created over decades. Think of the Dallas Fair Park or Whiterock Lake.
    How does one say the word 'idiots' in French?

      @WesleyAPEX. I think you should look at the engineering plans because the park it’s made to flood naturally on purpose. They know that it’s on a flood plain so they designed it with that in mind. I am an engineer and I seen this kind of designs before.

      Texas is the next California. there is just too much growth and immigration for Texas to remain a conservative state. if they didn't want the Californians there and they should have not poached California businesses. The Californians are coming and they're bringing California values. you're going to have to deal with living in a future blue state or move to Oklahoma,Arkansas or Louisiana. the same thing that happened to Colorado is going to happen to Texas.
