He just wanted to show his mother that he grew up fine, and that she can rely on him if needed. In doing so he didn't conform to any of the hip hop standards in place, he just did his music / his art in the way he does best. Sure it might not be a performance that would win SMTM, a rap competition, but i'm sure he was more than satisfied with the outcome.

Don't compare this to the autotuned trap stuff that has oversaturated the Korean hiphop scene right now. It's different. But I can see why he might have lost because he sang too much. The rap here is great though. Besides, at least a 40-crew contestant is still in the final four I guess. This result is gonna get some controversy lol
I loved the stage set up, the lights especially. Apparently he lost, while I would’ve liked to see him go further, he did great considering he was one of the main underdogs, and now I can’t stop listening to KOKI7

honestly, i really respect Jjangyou as an artist, how was able to show a different side to him musically in each stage, from the 1st round all the way to semi finals. he’s capable of fast rapping, sing rap, heavy rock kinda singing, and rap that makes the audience listen, like in his first appearance on smtm8. i really hope he gains more recognition now
People are really complaining about the amount of singing in this hip hop competition while the hottest hip hop artist in the world right now is post malone who’s literally singing 80% so what? It’s the trend, at least it’s better than mumble rap

I'm pretty sure this track was produced by Giriboy. Swings' label always try to incorporate rock and bring it to SMTM stage. But this is the first time it worked and came out good HAHAHAHAH
But I personally prefer the Vasco song melody tho xD.. but no doubt that they can both sing well ( can rap well too.. it is just this one wrong choice of performance )

After listening to both Takuwa's and Jjangyou's performance, I knew why the crowds chose Takuwa. Usually crowds will prefer an upbeat and trendy song over a slightly emotional song. Also, I think Jjangyou didn't do enough rapping in his song to bring votes. I never expected Takuwa to make the final episode, but I'm proud of him and I hope he does well. I did like Jjangyou's song and I'm sad he has to go, but I'm sure he has gained popularity from SMTM and I expect many things from him in the future. Edit: Also, I think he was losing his voice from singing by the end of the performance, which is what happens when anyone sings for a long time. Maybe that's why Jjangyou lost: he sang such high notes for a long time that in the end it sounded like just shouting.
He lost his voice because of how he sings. That technique is not good for his vocal chords. If he'd of rapped a little more on this track it would have been better. It's a shame as he was one of my faves.
