I just want to know why that space has stayed that way for decades and the alligator was not moved to an existing tank and space to have a better life previously?

Could you be exaggerating a bit? If you are talking about the size of the enclosure, they basically lie still all day.

They used to have 3. It is a small exhibit. I’m glad they’re renovating it.
