  • In this lecture we look at the cells that produce, maintain and break down bone. We will take a look at the role of Osteocytes, Osteoblasts, Osteoclasts and Osteoprogenitor cells.

    Here's how I remember osteoblasts vs osteoclast - osteoBlasts are bone Builders, or Blasts Build

      also a good way is B for blast and B for build

    if osteocytes live in lacunae (which is found in compact bone), does spongy bone not have them??

      I used Crazy Talk to animate the osteoblast. If you watch my video on learning the Carpals of the Hand, I use Anime Studio (now called Moho)
