    Oh my, am I excited for this?! I have listened to an untold amount of creators covering Kelly Lane, and I’ve read several books. There’s something about this case that fascinates me. She’s a pathological liar (to the point she could give Casey Anthony a run for her money) but there’s also a naivety to her. I just can’t work out if what happened to baby Tegan was down to her mother’s naivety, or through something sinister. Why would a seemingly bright, young woman get pregnant numerous times within a space of less than a handful of years and give the babies up for adoption. All done in secret! If you know you’re extremely fertile, why not double down on birth control after the first pregnancy and adoption…why go through that again twice more knowing how hard it was the first time to keep the pregnancy a secret, how hard it was to create lie upon lie to friends/family, then lie even more to conceal details about yourself/the father etc to hospital staff/social workers etc. the time and energy it must’ve taken to keep her lies alive and cover her tracks is unbelievable…and she chose to do that 3 times! It’s bizarre.

      @proudmilitarybrat76 3 месяца назад

      @kathyjackson8695 Hi. This is my first time hearing of this. May I ask what your theory is on what happened? I was wondering if they set up a private, undocumented adoption for some reason. Possibly due to being the product of incest, concerned about the family reputation, or not being able to continue sports. Example - Ted Bundy - His "sister" was his mom. His "mom" (grandma) raised him because his bio mom had gotten pregnant extremely young. The only people who knew until his late 20s was his grandparents and mom. Something similar to such. Although, even if she were to face charges for an illegal adoption, I would think giving that information would be better than serving lifetime in prison.

    She’s a crazy person but I cannot wrap my head around why she’d get rid of the 2nd baby when adoption was an option and “worked well” for her with the first in the sense that nobody knew she had any child to begin with.

    Perhaps this young woman intentionally wanted to get pregnant. A previous abortion done at age 17 may have initiated a maladaptive desire to “replace” the terminated pregnancy, regardless of whether her life situation had improved or not.

    This case is so frustrating. Kelly wants to give her babies for adoption. But these advocates keep crawling up into all of her business. Just let her go. She is obviously a mental case. Just take the babies and give them a good home, and let Kelly go. It's absurd how they try to cajole Kelly into keeping the babies, then complain when one of the babies is harmed. It doesn't excuse Kelly if she hurt a baby, but why don't these hospitals just take the babies and care for them, knowing that Kelly kept them to term, didn't abort, and these babies were healthy. When Kelly says she wants to adopt and be anonymous, just let her. It's bizarre.

    • @Yes_Anastasia
      @Yes_Anastasia 3 месяца назад +7

      Ummm…because there is a missing child? Did you listen?
      And what are you even talking about? This story isn’t about whether or not Kelly should give her babies up. I mean, obviously she should. But nobody was trying to force her to keep any of the children. That’s not what any of this is about. Law enforcement wants to know where the hell Teagan is. Keep up.

    • @BeaIEngio
      @BeaIEngio 3 месяца назад

      @@Yes_AnastasiaThey wouldn't have known about the missing baby if not for harassing her and persuing her about the third one (which they thought was the first). I agree with OP. She didn't want the baby. No 'one month temporary arrangement'. Just let her go and get the baby settled elsewehere quickly. Missing baby was a separate thing, found later.

    • @Flanneryschickens
      @Flanneryschickens 3 месяца назад +4

      @@BeaIEngiothey weren't trying to pressure her into keeping the third baby...Since she didn't begin the adoption process until after she had the baby, they wouldn't have had a family lined up to take him or any of the paperwork and such done. So he would be in foster care and she would be allowed visitation until she signed over parental rights

      @@CasefileTrueCrimePodcast im always star struck in these situations lol huge fan! My favorite true crime/mystery channel! Its literally my only legit complaint that the multi part vids dont have the exact same title. I understand, and agree its the right artistic choice. Its just slightly harder to find the next one in a series cos the title will be relevant to the content of the chapter, but different from the other. I never use a pc, just my phone, so i only see the portion of the titles the app shows before cutting it short, and often just click a random recommend for the next one when i finish a case. So if its multipart I have to go to the actual channel page, find the one i just watched, and then find the one that comes next. All with the like four words of the title i can see haha! However my main frustration in this instance was just that i dont wanna start a case without having the ability to finish it, and as i said i couldnt see it was a part one in the app thumbnail. No worries. Still gonna watch, and still gonna be a fan. You couldve told me to get fucked and id still be back lol
