some say Steph is a system player but really Steph is the reason that the system they created is so dangerous (with his movement without the ball, his ball handling, and especially his shooting) revolutionized offenses in the nba.
thank you for breaking this down, I've been waiting on someone to breakdown how Curry's footwork coming down in transition is so hard to stop. It is one of the most slept on, unnoticed most difficult to defend parts of his game that nobody talks about.
I almost turned this video off when you said he's still one of the best points guards. He is still the best. I actually turned it off when you said he's one of the best shooters ever. He's the undisputed best shooter ever. It's not debatable. It's disrespectful to say he's one of the best shooters.
Great breakdown. I feel like constantly getting doubled and tripled has made him much better and more efficient over time. Having players who get left open like draymond, looney, wiggs, etc actually helped him become a better scorer and increase his ball iq, thats wild. Meanwhile we see how guys like dame and kd still can’t figure out how to maneuver doubles
Not just the best scoring PG; he is a top three offensive player of all time imo. Only prime LeBron and Jordan are on that level of offensive production in my opinion. His 2016 regular season is the greatest offensive season of all time.
i dont think steph is the best ball handler in the league but i do think that steph is the most effective ball handler in the game. With how he affects the game when the ball is in his hands.
Steph is a top 2 ball handler behind Kyrie but he can’t showcase it as much because teams usually trap or double team after he makes a few shots!! They don’t give Steph the faith of a 1v1 because he’ll cook the defender.
Man you’re a goof. Steph’s averaging 28, 6 and 5 on 47/41/92 shooting splits, on like 5 ft attempts per game over the last 4 years! He’s gonna be 37 next season and still has some juice.
@@javislice nah he just punishing people cause the NBA lacks a defensive archetype that can navigate screens , play strong denial while being discipline and stick to people like glue like Tony allen. There reacting to Steph way to hard. Everything these days is a switch
@@mxchael9931You’re so wrong. Steph is always getting held/grabbed right in front of the refs whether he’s on ball, or off the ball. If you watching him then you’d know this. Steph can’t be guarded. Back then you could’ve threw him off of his game a bit with a few physical defenders like Allen, Bradley and Beverley but ever since Steph put on 15lb of muscle, and gotten much stronger that extra physicality isn’t working on Steph anymore dude. Instead he’s using it to his advantage by creating the contact, and leaning more into his defenders. Tbh, you don’t have to like his play style but do not be disingenuous to his game, like what he doing is easily duplicated when it’s not lol 🙏🏾. It only seems easy cause Steph’s just make it look effortless!! Jokic isn’t hard to gameplan as in he has the shooters which helps Jokic iso and they’re always moving too. Steph doesn’t get the faith of an 1v1. They’re not letting him cook 1v1. Paranoia is what a lot defenders describe it as. The fact that he’s a threat on the ball, or off it! Jokic needs the ball to set up his players. That helps him get assists and since he is such a great passer, he’s an all time great. Steph’s the system. We saw how true that was in 2020 when he didn’t play and then in 2021 we saw him drag GS with a bunch of g league players. There’s a compilation of opposing players and teams looking dead asf right after guarding Steph along with a compilation of him hitting shots on defenders that have them and the coaches distraught lmao. It’s hilarious.
@@mxchael9931 you say this as if arguments like those can't be applied to virtually any player in the league, not jus steph 😭 pretty sure anybody who averages 25+ ppg is "jus punishin people" for a specific reason. steph barely gets calls, gets double / triple teamed both on n off the ball - yet still finds ways to score. watch highlights from steph's 2020-21 season. you tell me if you see anybody else in the league gettin guarded the way he gets guarded
steph isn't an offensive player, he IS the offense
FAX
I see wyd there but the word system still works lol
Karl Malone isn't a defender, he is the offender.

Well said

He's the reason the system is possible. No one has been able to duplicate the Warriors success with a full motion offense.
@@T1Oracle true
Steph makes it work with a dogshit team, we saw what he can do with caliber players
yeah exactly, steph created the system he isnt just a piece of it haha thats why so many teams want to mimic him but thats not possible

Best pg ever 👊🏾
great video by the way
Best offensive PG and the best PG of all time

Literallly my idol, changed the game for short guard

Good work
His footwork is just insane
Steph is 36
It’s different for him
He is the beast shooter what are you talking about?

Can you do a 2023 Damian Lillard breakdown?
Don’t need a breakdown on that ringless bum, this video literally shows his dad💯the best of the best

Jokic is harder than steph
as a nuggets fan, i'm inclined to disagree - primarily because of the things steph despite not havin the ball in his hands
