How many more seasons can Steph Curry continue being the BEST player in the league?
Till he retire
until he retires
How many more seasons til Steph retires?
Even after he retires fr
yall are stupid if you think curry is the best player until he retires hes barely the best player right now
He's doing 50/40/90 while being DOUBLE TEAMED and taking shots most guys couldn't even hit wide open with hands all in his face. He's insane and I still believe underrated
HE RUNS AROUND 4 MOVING SCREENS BEFORE ATTEMPTING A SHOT. YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO DELETE THIS COMMENT LMFAOOOOOOOOO
@@liftbread common curry hater L 💀
@@liftbread your probably a luka fan thinking Lukas the best pg in the league
@@liftbread so he is a bad player because he can run more than most??
@@liftbread
Even if we give you that, Curry is averaging a career low 4.1 catch and shoot shots per game. What about the other 16 shots he attempts per game? And you are probably not an advanced analytic guy but Steph attempts less than 3 shots a game when the nearest defender is 6 feet or more away. A couple of things this tells us, those illegal screens are not getting him open enough so Steph is creating a lot more of his own shots, mainly the midrange and in the key buckets.
The 1 thing you have correct is that Steph is taking less "double teamed" shots (Only 2 per game). But just so that you know, he's taking a career high 4.1 shots per game when there is no action. Just him going against 1 guy, no screen, no help defense. Here are those splits:
60/51/88 with a 74 TSP%... That means if Curry wanted to not call any screen help and the defense don't double him, he's on pace of having the best offensive stat in the history of basketball.
Curry is insane, he's still without question one of the most entertaining players and has established himself as one of the greatest players of all time. Hope Warriors get it together so we can go back to back.
You lost your defensive identity when Mike Brown left the GSW.
Hey i hope that Curry wins 1-2 more championships, but i think it`s unlikely to happen at the GSW
We will
@@thetruth4654 hey man I swear people that think they lose their defensive identity off a coach, leaving that's not Steve Kerr, then look at Celtics doing it without their head coach, they draw the plays sure but,the defense is on work ethic and it won't leave from champeionship to hear last
@@thetruth4654 bro u think Curry gonna leave GS? Nah 💀
illegal screens, Bogut said it
Steph Curry even at age 34, Gonna be 35, is Playing out of his mind. And He’s doing all this while still getting Double Teamed, Triple Teamed, to this day. And when you add in the fact that He’s Expanded his game even more by Making more of his Mid-range jump shots, it just makes him that much more Unguardable. I mean, the dude is already shooting nearly 45% from 3 and now 60% From Mid-Range!!
That mentality of constantly wanting to get better and never being satisfied is being Proven and Exemplified by Steph. It is what Represents a TRUE LEGEND.
I really wish y’all would stop hyping up the double teams like he can’t run off 2 3 4 screens to get free.
@@julian2238 Curry ist der einzige Spieler, der gedouble teamed wird und trotzdem der beste der NBA 💀💀
Reminds me of MJ in The Last Dance. He said that as he got older, he relied less on his explosiveness and more on his craft and skills. Same applies with Curry here.
Except that mj was still getting worse. Steph is getting even better with age. He’s finishing 80% at the rim as a 6’2 guards. For perspective, Ja morant is finishing 55% at the rim
@@nick-ts8cw it's not about if MJ is getting worse. I ain't talking about stats here.
@@nick-ts8cw because he is in the silver era, they let you carry, travel, and provide a variety of free space and ability for the offense, MJ actually had to play through contact even when he got older
Curry never really had explosiveness. He relied on skills (dribbling, shooting, etc), strength and stamina, attributes that he can sustain longer.
but 6'2" curry has had to rely on his craft and skill since day one that's what makes him so good now and still now.
The thing that makes Curry so great is that he has a huge toolbag of technical skills but also little physical ones that he can leverage through his high basketball IQ to create scenarios where he wins the confrontation. An intelligent, experienced, skilled, versatile player on a team with multiple offensive options that can pop off at any given times is extremely dangerous
He also has the ability to decrease his heart rate during timeouts. This helps him with his running.
Soak it in. Appreciate it.
Living history before our eyes.
Living legend! Literally. It’s been a joy being able to witness his skills. What a ride. Hope it can go for awhile more
hi there,
Steph is Steph, no one like him. He used to annihilate defenders for a living. Now, he does it for fun and championships.
The thing now is, he's ever evolving and his physique is stronger.
So, to answer the question, he'll be there at top till he's 38, with 2 more seasons of solid performances before retirement.
3 more rings, he'll be the best of all time.
Take care.
He is like Bird. They don't need athleticism for their game. Their game is based off of solid basic skills, and the will to win
I wouldn't call Steph's or birds skill basic but your right
I feel like they have the solid basic skills as a replacement for their athleticism (and height for steph). But as we see other unathletic players, they regress around the same time as those athletic (relatively lower iq) players. But the difference with Curry is that he's getting more and more stronger and athletic as time moves on
I somehow agree with you.. But, athleticism is not all but strength in jumpimg ability (if you ssugests that...). Bird and Steph have stong upper body... Bird is agile for a 6'10 player... SC30 is a 6'3" (AI is 6 flat & dame is 6'2") agile/quick PG that fans don'r give credit hiim more and both Bird & SC30 can dunk which means, they are also athletic (if not above average, they are not that poor in terms of atheleticism)... And btw, both have flexible body (which is rightfully because they are "athletes") & crafty with the ball... Therefore, I can say that both are athletic basketball players in their sizes..
you know perkins wasnt happy to hear ja respond "steph" point blank lmfao
he might have been destroying skyscrapers after Ja said that.
I totally agree..Curry is the best player in the Planet. He is the GOAT..Nobody in the NBA did wat Curry did considering his height. Though he is small but he looks big when he plays. He is truly the BEST and the GREATEST. Go Steph,,a gold blooded player. The NBA looks to become boring when Curry retires..
I never thought of him as a defender, but the more I watch him I realize he is a good defender. Not a okay defender not a solid defender, but a good defender.
He has been a good defender since Davidson years if you know and really play basketball the right way in a competitive environment.
He just looks bad because his team literally are all elite defenders. That's why teams can only target him. Look at last year like who the hell can they target? Not Dray, not Wiggs, not Klay, not GP2, and Looney is also another defensive beast.
We need a video breakdown on Steph’s D.
@@niconiconii4561 this is true. The narrative that Steph is a bad defender started during the dynasty run. I mean, of course teams were targetting him... he was playing next to 4 elite defenders in Klay, Iggy, Dray and KD!
@@niconiconii4561 Teams aren’t making the choice to isolate Steph on a bigger opponent as often as the did in the past partially because the Dubs would make it a difficult task to accomplish such that a team would risk running down the shot clock in their efforts to get that matchup, resulting in them having to rush a shot to beat the clock. I can recall years ago the Rockets trying hard to isolate Steph on Harden and how much time off the clock was run by the time they did.
I got into NBA basketball because of LeBron doing something very similar in the 2017-2018 season. To watch a player reach their double peak of physicallity and game IQ is simply amazing. So many players fall off after their playstyles fall off for whatever reason, but this is just greatness. You can't hate on what Curry is doing just appreciate it while it's happening.
I appreciate curry to an extent, I still could watch basketball if he never existed, or if he retired right now though, out of respect for guys who are in the league right now, but NBA started to die ever since David Stern retired
LeQuit, LeWalk, LeCramps, LeBum, LeBrick or LeFlop you're talking about?

"I want IGUADALA" is one of the greatest lines to come out of Max's mouth lol
The reason Curry is hard to guard at age 34 is because is he just as good as when he was 33.
he seems better
He honestly looked like he got better and stronger, he put on muscle
I think the fact that the stretch from the finals to right now being possibly the best he's ever played is his most impressive accomplishment. Not only because he is going on 35, but because he's had such an incredible career, and for him to be better than ever and IMPROVING is unthinkable.
Been so much fun watching Steph this season. So damn glad I found a site that streams ALL games.
He's doing 50/40/90 highest ceiling while being DOUBLE or TRIPLED TEAMED 💯‼️☝️
He's not gonna end the season with those percentages. Trust me. Unless he ends his season now obviously.
0:45 His reaction was hilarious af🤣
Curry is crazy at this point. I keep saying that pound-for-pound he’s the greatest player ever. And he looks like he could easily play into his 40s. That’s a lot for someone who was drafted after Rubio.
@@cl6693Johnny Flynn? I remember only because where he was drafted in steph’s class lololol
@@gideoncheung8731 how do you go so wrong about a draft pick.. It isn't like Curry wasn't a star in college and his father played in the NBA.. what were those timberwolves scouts doing
Look man at Steph so inspirational, he's truly a blessing in my eyes🔥🏀💯
Because of his conditioning and healthy diet. Something he got from his dad whobwas able to prolong his NBA career which steph wants to acomplish.
You just cant ignore Curry even when he does a hezi makes your heart drop lol
He didn't add that dream shake recently. He had that type of shot against someone in the FIBA USA practices
i have inspired from steph's game shoot when given space pentrate when they come close and i have also been trying to merge with kobe's footwork and fundamentals and mentality and trying to win
steph a top 10 all time
Always gotta tune in!
Even when he starts to slow down, he will always have that shot
I read somewhere that when Steph Curry got drafted, his problems with injury in his early years led him to choose quickness over speed, he also had UnderArmour develop shoes to his specifications to protect his foot but also to allow maximum traction such that he can shift suddenly without slipping...
The rocket coach reaction is hilarious😂😂😂😂
:47 I'm so glad you pointed that out, but it wasn't just him the whole bench couldn't believe it. I watch everyone's reaction on the bench. It was like a headshot that sucked the life out of the entire team
When he said 1 2 3 we all knew sheesh was coming...
He’s more athletic than he gets credit for too.
Super quick and has more endurance than any other player ever
Yea his stamina is underrated asf one of the best in the nba
Athletes play a sport. Steph doesn't jump as high as JA, but JA can't keep up the same pace Curry does for a whole game. Who and what determines athletic vs not? That whole notion Curry isn't athletic is just plain dumb
@@rainman3216 another analogy is a world class marathon runner less of an athlete than a sprinter? I know we're preaching to the choir between us I'm just cosigning your argument .
@@tellthetruthg Yeah they seem to use the word to mean jumping high and running fast
Excellent work, nice breakdown. Great and detailed analysis of Steph Curry`s game.
0:56 that face 😂 😂😂
I’m glad the comment section actually for the most part) gets it. What does his age have to do with anything? He isn’t good for his age, he is just a great player. It is crazy how people want age people out of their talent. Someone recently said that you think 30 is old… until you are 30. I having been dancing and doing choreo since 4 and 15 respectively. I don’t feel I’m losing anything on my way to 30. I feel the younger people only give me new additions to what I’ve done my best to master. Steph is not ready for the “at the age of…” conversation yet.
"Splash splash butter baby" sounds like me making a grilled cheese sandwich 🤣
Sheeesshh guys we are blessed for witnessing a guy like Steph man because we will never see another guy like HIM again 🔥🏀💯
I am just glad that I am alive in Stephen Curry era.
Yea right my boy is just something different 💯.

Max kellerman never living down that iggy comment is he 😂
The best way to defend Steph? Is when he is sitting out taking a break.
He's polish on every move and put a lot of muscle that works incredible for the layups and mid range
Hands Down This Decade's #GOAT. Prove me wrong.
TV Analysts are the Weathermen of sports 😂
That Max Kellerman comment at the end was hilarious
Steph the GOAT. Forever underrated.
The crazy part is when it's all said and done that record will be crazy like 4000 something 3s made is crazy
It’s what he does off the court. Conditioning, diet, exercise, sleep, etc. You put in extra work outside. Get amazing results inside.
Here is the real answer: big sports media like ESPN would have you think athleticism is a 6'3 guy dunking but jumping past the backboard. Obviously that's not it at all. He is literally in the best shape for his height, knows where he wants to get to and gets there, and is beyond fast and quick. Even Klay who added bulk to absorb contact better isn't as athletic as Steph 🤦 Once y'all get that, this isn't that surprising. 👍
1:06 I want to see what Kendrick Perkins reaction to that was 😂
Men dont hit their prime until 35 this year gone be spooky
when covering Steph curry. It's best to be up by ten points on them. And play white on-rice style defense and give up the lay-up and rally with 2 pointers with GS and maintain the ten-point lead. Because his team gets motivated and has high morality when GS starts making their threes.
Always gotta tune in!
So weird to see steph shooting mid range haha
Can you make a klay thompson vid next time. On what he has done so far after Bridges trash talked Klay. Its like his making a statement that he is officially back and awakened. Hope to see this in your next video.
Other than his skills, us late 80's baby's age slowly. Look at the men in their 30's in the last few decades compared to ours. You can't even tell we're there.
Yup it's hilarious, every 35 year old out there looks 28 nowadays
You’re right, that’s why you see early 20 and 19 year old girls dating men in their 30s now

Love your videos
cause gsw doesnt rely on isolations. have curry do iso or even post up it would linear and easy to stop. honestly its not even him cause their playstyle havent changed its just because of the system all of them benefited that anybody on gsw would have a clear look or little contest. theyre more relaxed to shoot. curry was never known for slashing and dunking like drose he does running thru screens few dribbles then shoot. he could make thats drives now just because like i said other 4 gsw cant be wide open theyre relaxed to shoot
34 years old = 34 ppg
Hes a shooter and hes constantly moving in fact the team constantly moving and everybody is a threat meaning you cant cheat on him the fact that hes good at his dribbles and hes ambidextrous sum it all why hes so hard to guard.
Accuracy, distance, speed, Splash!!! 💯💯💥💥💥
and he is so charming and entertaining
There are so afraid of his 3 tat everything else just opens up
Probably 1.5 more years of this level of play… after this i think he takes a step back from going to the rim so hard, and let’s JP take over, he would get hurt less, and add a couple year’s to his career!.. imagine Curry playing the Kyle Korver exclusively for the Warriors!

It’s almost not fair. You’re trying to guard Curry and boom! You get hit with a hard ass double screen hahaha. It’s almost impossible to guard him without the constant screens, I can’t imagine how frustrated I would get lol

Max actually predicted that the last shot wasn't for really for Steph at a younger age but as he grows he'll get better at it.
This is the only part of is funny argument I actually argee with because after 2020 Steph last mins shot are deadly and almost certain.
He has become complete 💯👌
In 2022 he's shooting less but more accurately. Plus adding dominions to his game such as the mid-range. Golden State's ability to develop young talent, shoot at a high percentage, and rely on the strength and wisdom of the ol heads is what makes them iconic.
Steph will be GOAT when all's said and done. Enjoy the ride, folks! :)
It's basically impossible to compete with 6 out of 6 and two retirements. But #2 at least. Top5 GOAT PG already.
By “Rockets Assistant Coach” I assume you mean NBA legend John Lucas?
Look at Steph man
Not sure how this video started on my phone, but, geesh, guys, did this dude really use an example of Steph using an on ball screen to force a switch onto a b tier center before creating space for a three? That’s like the most basic way to create a shot for yourself as a PG and he used it as a “geesh, guys” example of Steph’s obscure repertoire? Check out bball breakdown or Thinking Basketball if you want real analysis.
Curry w dream shake is scary stuff
Ok, just give him the most improved player award already... He is already almost as great as MJ, 4 more years and will see where he ends up.
Fun fact: the “midrange” spot for Steph is the 3 point line 😮💨
Nba is different now.. he might as well get al the money he can. Eventually they will have to stop allowing moving screens again.
They were literally guarding Steph full court
Dreamshake or MJ's windshield wiper heheh
Pretty much everyone has Kareem in their top 5 all time. Sky Hook? No one even talks of it. Speed and prescion with which Steph gets off a 3 may well prove the same. It's likely no one will get close to it for decades to come.
They say that LeBron James is the greatest player of this generation but when Stephen Curry wins his 5th NBA championship then what!!!!!!!
