I remember him slapping the bruh. I think the "chicken wing" brothers have a show on OWN. They made me hungry. A stuffed wing with Mac & Cheese and a stuffed wing with collared greens...are you kidding?? Man!!
Yet another "black ass moment" he experienced. Lol
They're dedication and hard work is going to pay off and I certainly wish them all the best. They seem very professional, courteous, they have an excellent product, they're committed and determined. It's just a matter of time before business will be overflowing and especially with this publicity and endorsement from Steve.

--A BOGO free cupcake would not have been my first suggesting! At this stage, if they are already losing some money because of the unsold cupcakes, a buy one get one free at this stage would cut to deeply into their profits. I would not suggest that. Lets not just give away the store!!!
My suggestion would be maybe frequent customer card where after you've bought a dozen cupcakes you get one free! Or if people are buying them for the office or other event, after they've bought 12 dozen, they get a dozen free.
I also like the other commenters' suggestions about the mini iced cakes and the parfait!
Absolutely right.....They should make ice cream cakes with the leftovers..in the same flavoras the cupcakes...Well some of them...Or roll out the leftover cake and put cream cheese icing in it...make cake rolls...

Back to you, my idea is to cut down on stock/expenses/costs and wastage..
21 flavours is simply way too much variety which can be too demanding/confusing. My suggestion:Sell your top six as regulars and every month or quarterly you can introduce limited edition of the other flavours for a small fee more.
As some people suggested make cake pops with leftovers or cut into cute cubes and use them as buy one get one free or half price.
My other suggestion is to re-evaluate the cost and pricing. If you dont charge labour cost, pls start doing so inclu package etc.
The cake ladies can sell their scraps as parfaits with great icings.

Parfaits sound great. I was wondering about the cake pops too, as people make those with the scraps, but they had them right on the table and didn't mention them. Parfaits could be sold at a good price to get people in the door regularly or maybe as a free treat if you buy a cake.

Make trifles. That's what I do with bits and pieces of cake or cookies. Add some whipped cream or whipped ricotta cheese mixed with allspice and confectioners sugar, throw in some berries and drizzle some syrup on it. FYI that ricotta cheese bit above makes awesome cannoli filling as well. :)
Forgot to add , ricotta should be drained then whipped before adding allspice and confectioners sugar.

Sometimes the things we love to do does not pay well. Finding peace with your income is wealth. Freeze, Repurpose, Pray -get a non-profit shelter by night (include salary to yourselves in budget submitted). The Repurposed cake can be snacks & dessert for participants. Make sure you assign a value to the Repurposed cake in the budget as well.
Cover the scraps in fondant or icing and serve them as free samples at neighboring communities, businesses, schools, etc with business cards. Then keep the scraps (with fondant or icing) on hand at the shop to give away whenever someone comes into the store that day. That way, people can try samples of flavors they may not otherwise try. Also, take them to bridal stores each morning and bridal photographers (especially during the summer) to give to their clients. Also, hire a baking apprentice with that $5,000. They will see an increase in sales if they give out the samples on a regular basis and they will recoup the money quickly and be able to pay themselves a salary.

Those scraps could be your advertising. Decorate, fill a tray and take it to nearby businesses mid morning. You will have new customers coming to buy on their lunch breaks.
Also, as Chef Ramsey often teaches, you hurt yourself/your profit by offering too much variety. Have Friday/weekly specials that might include additional flavors than the rest of the week. Or you could have month long promotions to sell mini-cakes from 4-5 to get those customers who want to grab some sweets for supper to take home on the way from work. Hook up with charities you are interested in - your support is more advertising. Drop off some of those sample/scraps to local radio stations. Look at your local Chamber of Commerce for events for small business owners and make sure you have plenty of business cards and samples ready. Explore nearby restaurants or eateries that might be willing to sell your desserts. Don't pass up too many opportunities to network with other entrepreneurs and be creative with your advertising.
Why not take some of the leftovers, make cupcakes and deliver them to stores in the area, new businesses especially restaurants, school open houses, festivals with your business card to give the community a taste of what you do.

Have a special on a slow day.
PreOrder in advance.
Only items that sale daily should be made on a regular.
Other items are specialty items pre purchased minimize your loss.
Sale cakes as a wholesale to local grocery store or restaurants they buy in bulk and in advance. That will generate additional income as well. That's multiple streams so that you all can hire help and also get paid yourselves.
And finally the other sister needs to take a business course.
Most Capcom people do that kinda stuff 😂

I was thinking having them as taste testers for the public/homeless or people who are actually coming to buy they can test what they want to buy!!!! And another option....take samples from the left overs and go into these jobs around lunch and ask people would they like to order cupcakes and let them try it!!!! PROMISE THEY'LL HAVE ALOT OF BUSINESS EVERY SINGLE DAY AND ALL DAY!!!!! I hope they see this comment. I just gave them some great ideas...send me a check for just 500 dollars!! This what I do...I sell suggestions and help people get rich!!!
