@UnheardVoices-d5c As of update 3.0, you could take the Portal anywhere that has wifi, but you need a PS5 to remote play. With update 4.0, you could actually use the Portal without a PS5 as long as you have PS Plus Premium to play in the cloud.

MICRO STUTTERS ARE FIXED. This is arguably more important than cloud streaming. Butter smooth on my setup (wired ps5 pro to internet). Playing Elden ring with no issues, no stutters, no drops, no resolution dumps. Fantastic.
A little tip, When in the game catalogue on the PS5 console set the filter list to A - Z . This allows the complete list of games to be viewed when looking at the cloud game catalogue. (at the moment you cant change the filter list on the portal)

Long time Xbox owner, don’t own a ps5 and I just bought one of these. Can’t wait to try it out with the cloud gaming! Even with paying for ps premium I think it’s a great entry to PlayStation games for those who already own a different console and want to play a few of the PlayStation exclusive titles
Tried it not expecting much as streaming from my PS5 is laggy as fudge. GAME CHANGER, very little lag, quality is insanely good. Would recommend. Internet speed is 300 mbps upload/download speed.
There's always going to be some slower latency with cloud streaming compared with playing natively on a console, although from my experience so far it's been pretty good. I think there are certain games I wouldn't play - like a faster paced FPS game - but for the third person open world games like the ones I showcased in the video, it's fairly seamless.
Ive been playing demon souls. It seems to be more stable then connecting to my pro which is wired. Crazy but really good soo far. I almost had the idead of downgrading to plus. This gives more bang to premium for me
I had trouble with plucky squire but the other few I've tried worked great. Definitely going to get back into death stranding and finish up before the 2nd one comes
Well, as far as I'm concerned, Sony was late because I managed to convince myself to the Xbox cloud and G Force Now and I've always been on PlayStation, but I'm still delighted that they're finally going in this direction because I simply love the cloud and I don't feel like buying a console

I bought the portal during its early stages and sold it due to intermittent ‘pauses’ even when i had good wifi and good hotspot connection. That makes it hard for me to play it remotely, the only place i could play on was at home. Does the new update fixes that? Cos if it does, im buying it again
Both games I tested out in this video just picked up from where I'd left off when I played the downloaded versions on my PS5. Having played across multiple consoles in the past there are discrepancies with carrying over saves from time to time but usually only if I was immediately going from one to the other. For the most part it works perfectly well.

@@FameTechUK I have the legs extended all the way, the grip pointing directly down, and the tripod essentially leaning on the front of the desk, with me stand directly behind it. Not the most ideal set up, but it works for now 😅

Couldn't believe it. But yeah its actually worth now. AC Valhalla actually runs better than before. Some none AAA games run almost perfectly. And the library is good and diverse. Couple more racing games would be nice.
Xbox Cloud Streaming has that annoying overlay grid in the upper left, very distracting on my Steam Deck. Did you encounter anything like that for PS Cloud streaming on the Portal?
Cloud streaming of any kind, but especially gaming, would require a subscription to support running costs. So it isn’t about forcing a subscription for the hardware.
Not gonna lie, I thought it was a glorified gadget, because it was ried ro the console, but yesterday when I found out it can do cloud gaming, I ran to argos and got one.. MASSIVELY HAPPY BUNNY.

Because its beta the full release might support ps3 & ps4 aswell! Would be so cool! Amazing handheld now for that price to play epic quality games.

No issues with Plucky even got past the point I was stuck at release where the vine bomb wasn't spawning in the wizard's house.

Sony specifically said the Beta would only stream PS5 games, so not sure how you said you were able to see older platforms to stream like PS3.
There are older generation games available to stream that are technically available as PS5 games like Timesplitters or Dino Crisis - Aaron

Technically yeah! As long as you have a PS Plus Premium subscription and a decent internet connection (I think 15mbps is the recommended minimum).

I use a Manfrotto tripod and film with the Sony ZV E-10 🙂
