Personally as a speedrunner of RPGs myself I've gotta say I'm always a fan of seeing RPG TASs. Namely as they help out so much with understanding the games even more which makes running them a lot more fun. I still remember back when I was younger trying for hour to get the perfect battles in RPGs.
Not so fun for ppl outside that tiny bubble though.. The development cycle is likely way more interesting than running through a game with 1 toon, running from every fight and using evasive machanics to beat bosses. I used it to fall asleep.
Four White Mages? It will never work! *End of the run* Four White Mages just scared away Chaos...
The whole run was great but that ending was perfect.

I never get tired of amazing TAS videos, and this is one of the best. The commentary is excellent too. Love you people!
This was the second video game I ever played, and I'm absolutely overjoyed that it can still bring me so much entertainment to this day. Great run, and thank you for your support of the cause.
I remember when I first beat chaos. Had a strategy guide saying he was immune to zap, but my whole team was nearly dead. I went for it anyways and I guess I got that lucky crit. Now I know why it magically worked. Awesome run
probably the greatest mix of TAS speedruns and human runs is that super mario world being completed in like 2 minutes.
Had me intrigued until he didn't know what a "random encounter" was called. 😂 Jus kidding, props brother! I look forward to seeing you perfect this run!

You should put something up before the marathon so those of us who subscribe to you on RUclips are aware of it, I keep missing the live event and only realise once the VoDs are uploaded.
if you follow some of the organizers' Twitter accounts (like vulujin or puwexil), then it might be easier to be aware of it earlier.

How in the HELL did they expect you to beat this game when it first came out?
Music Power the brick wall method: throw your self at it till something brakes either you or the wall. That and talking to everyone to find out where to go next.
Just keep on surviving and walking everywhere.
Grinding
Spend several dozen hours with a full party adventuring around, leveling up. And by the late game when you're high level, it's pretty easy.

David Medford Different game. Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest was a SNES game that was released in the states almost as ‘baby’s first RPG.’ This is the OG final fantasy on NES- brutal as hell, buggy as all get out, super luck dependent- but for all that one of the first great RPGs to ever come out.

After watching so many randomizer tournament matches, watching this game without the speed hacks, even with TAS, seems painfully slow.
Well, it is called "Playing it how the game was designed"....kind of.
