Lifesaver, thanks for all the content. Think you should do more of these 10-15 minute videos, makes people watch the entire thing + seems bis for youtube algo.
Mark of the Fallen Champion does not copy the damage done to tanks. It ticks for a fixed amount (4275-4725 in 10-man, 6175-6825 in 25-man) each time the boss swings (regardless of if the hit lands or not), modified by the blood power level of DBS so it slowly ramps up linearly until a new Mark goes out. It's true damage that ignores the armor of the target but it is reduced by Inspiration as well as other damage taken modifiers such as Renewed Hope or Divine Guardian.
I tried to add a link to the tooltip and logs but RUclips didn't seem to like me adding urls to comments. The spell ID is 72255 if you want to check it out.
Yep, a little surprising but it does - here's a log showing it: classic.warcraftlogs.com/reports/fbVGM2DrjdZkmLaW#boss=848&difficulty=4&wipes=1&type=damage-taken&translate=true&ability=72255&source=6&view=events Definitely a bit strange but pretty damn nice for us
Thanks for the guide! You mention talented correctly for aoe damage, is that just putting less points into the "bite" build, and putting points into "Nurturing Instinct" instead?
Is there a consistent rule to where Marrowgar's back is while spinning? I'm mostly meatshielding on that fight but I'd like to know for when I possibly get to DPS later on.
I think i tried to swipe the spikes on the PTR but they didn‘t get hit when swiping off the boss. Is that right? Did i just not see it or do i have to swipe off a spike in order to hit everything?
For bonestorm I am getting flak from our raid lead that I shouldn't eat it, how do you manage your CDs to eat that dmg? Is it jus bark + survival, do you alternate it?
So pop barkskin on bonestorm and I can survive following him closely to continue shredding him even through fire ? Or do I need to swap my talents a little and spec into inc armor etc?
Only thing thing id like to say for death saurfang is it’s very possible for a feral dps to be top dps on beast , all you have to do is be quick , mangle , shred shred and ferocious bite
I once got great RNG swapping to a beast, bunch of omen procs and crits, turned into a few shreds and a bite. Pulled threat and instantly got one shot. Forever scared now of getting that good luck on them and dying
@@beardigo-wowferalgrobbulus663 yeah I agree with the agroo problems I def felt it as well, only really works on stunned beast It definitely helps if all ferals could ignore beast to make our rotation easier But In scenarios where if a dps like us gets punishment for not doing dps to beast we do get the chance to flex and be top dps dealt to beast and get bragging rights since no one really expects a feral to be top dps on it ^but def possible with ferocious bites in every spawn
Tonight I was in a melee heavy 10 man heroic (4 melee dps) and was doing the same damage as the other three melee combined to the adds and close to equal to the two ranges who were nuking/kiting them. The time I spent making sure my rip and roar were in order on Saurfang gave the ranged dps enough of a threatlead that I only pulled aggro once, luckily I noticed the threat meter soon enough and was able to rocketboots away to give everyone some breathing room. Was still maintaining too dps on Saurfang as well.
Need and need. Bite does very little and the extra healing with NI is very helpfull. You loose very little dmg and gain good surviveability. Its not dps optimal but if you want to chase marrowgar in bonestorm through flames atleast be nice enough to give your healers a reach around by speccing so you are easier to heal 😂
They're extremely strong. They have incredible burst with their gargoyle at the start of the fight then fall off as the fight goes longer, you can see that happening on Saurfang in this video for instance. Also, our UH DK's are much more geared than me so they have a tiny bit of an advantage there
I would have lootbanned you on marrow for not dpsing spikes at all.. marrow is a battle for survival not a dps race. But your druid time graphic has won me over
Cat can’t switch to anything that lives less than 15 seconds, period. Every other spec in the game is able to switch, cats must be behind the target AND target must have bleed debuff AND must have bleed rolling
@@60rsch cat absolutely can switch, provided that current SR uptime has 20+ seconds left. With just one spike in melee spending swipe on OoC proc is already more beneficial to overall damage in fight compare to shred in single target. With 2 or even 3 spikes in melee, cat being one of the best burst-style aoe melee classes, not helping out on spikes is actual griefing. If someone is concerned about losing Rip / Rake debuff, the boss could be put to /focus to keep the timings on Rip uptime. I did Marrowgar 25hm last 2 weeks and it was absolutely fine switching to one of the spike to do auto attack dmg + swipe to spikes, while at the same time not losing Rip on a boss; even better is making sure Rip is 10+ seconds and save up energy close to 80+ before spikes are spawned, so that you can do 2x swipe + Tigers Fury + FF >> 3x swipe. By that time in hm marrowgar spikes are dead, and if you had combo points on the boss, you will have them ready to refresh Rip. So I'd say the statement about "15 seconds switch" is absolutely incorrect with the introduction of Fairy Fire OoC proc that both allows you to not feel forces to get CP points on the spike, and even if Rip uptime is suffered, to get it back real quick. Raid objectives are so much more important than parsing.
This video is less useful for me and more useful for explaining to my raid lead what I’m goin to do.
That's a big part of why I go into detail about the struggles of feral target swapping :D Hope it helps
Hey man, just wanted to take a moment to thank you for this video. looking forward to the next bosses!
Good stuff man, you are a pillar of the community
Lifesaver, thanks for all the content. Think you should do more of these 10-15 minute videos, makes people watch the entire thing + seems bis for youtube algo.
Darlnight seeing this video -_-
Cracking video, keep them coming for the rest of ICC!
Thanks for these videos. Ill direct my fellow ferals straight here 💯

Thanks Beanna, I'll look into this and update the vid. Lots of misinfo going around about Mark, I thought I'd pinned it down. Cheers 🐱

Just sent this video to my raid leader so he doesnt yell at me when I eat bone storm or death and decay
Great video! Can't wait for more
Thank you very much. very informative and well said. do you have a discord or somthing to follow for more feral content?
Great video mate, really detailed - keep it up. Are there more videos for the other bosses ?
Thanks for sharing, everyone go buy this man a few beers (I mean coffee).
Looking forward to the next vid, cheers

You can barkskin when you get blood boil to reduce the blood power the boss gets
Great vid!!! Can’t wait for follow ups! Your a godsend sir!
Amazing. Thank you for making this. Great video.
So Predatory Instincts definitely reduces mark damage? Seems strange that it's classed as an aoe.

I can smell those 99s already
is it possible to link ur ability weakaura in the middle?
Is there a consistent rule to where Marrowgar's back is while spinning? I'm mostly meatshielding on that fight but I'd like to know for when I possibly get to DPS later on.
I've had some trouble finding the shred spot on Marrowgar during his bonestorm, do you have any tips for that scenario?
I think i tried to swipe the spikes on the PTR but they didn‘t get hit when swiping off the boss. Is that right? Did i just not see it or do i have to swipe off a spike in order to hit everything?
Very well done
when the next bosses

just dont run directly under the middle of the boss and you should be fine. It does more the closer you are
Great video, thanks a lot!
Awesome stuff!
Great video, just wish I could play feral. I’m god awful at it.
So pop barkskin on bonestorm and I can survive following him closely to continue shredding him even through fire ? Or do I need to swap my talents a little and spec into inc armor etc?
Should be fine even with default talents. Having said that I'm going 2/2 NI for increased healing taken, really noticable during progression

Do we need to respec into a bit more tanky talents for ICC or is the normal spec just fine?

Sweet shit
I'd sponsor you bro... if I had any money 😢
