An end of an era... December 2017 - June 2024
And not just June, the last tournament was on 6/9.

So looking forward to the 5+ hr comp for the Mascot Tournament
The new one doesn't have it?!?! Nooooo!!! As soon as I heard of its release, this tournament was the first thing I thought about! That's depressing AF..

Mascot tournament is a niche game mode, with college builder , dynasty modes, and playing a regular season of college football... Being the most popular, at this time or 2014, I couldn't recall anyone else that was in this deep into mascot mode
@harleyfan10 true, but at the same time, it's probably the easiest game mode to implement once you have all the mascot assets. It probably takes more time to design the UI elements than it does to set up the actual game mode considering you don't have to worry about player ratings, balance or unique player models. I would hope it'll be in next years game, considering the fact EA is notorious for adding in modes it used to have as a "new feature" to keep people buying yearly editions

I was in the chat for the tourney, but popping in here to reiterate thanks to Ray, Glasses, Light, et al. for SEVENTEEN of these things (in addition to all the other streams and comps, too)
The other way of doing this is like WWE 2K and using create a player for people like Glasses, Spencer, Tina, and more to be QB for their respective regions
As far as I know, the create-a-player feature could also be restricted because of NIL, they don’t want people to make students who opted out of being in the game. Hopefully that would work though!

I know he means only one foot in bounds, but when Ray says "you only need one foot in college" i imagine college students with one foot just hopping around.

Tragic that my beloved Cam the Ram only showed up for one tourney, but this series was a blast and taught me how to enjoy FOOBAW properly! Thank you Ray and crew for the 7 years of Mascot Madness!

I'm not surprised, but it's a real bummer the new game likely won't have mascot mode. These streams were so much fun. Wish there was something similar that could replace it, but I can't think of anything that would make sense. RIP

Just sold my NCAA 14 game for the 360..... It was hard to let go of but hadnt played it in a few years. Was a great ride and heres to hoping the next one is as good if not better.
This has been a great series. Can’t wait for the eventual highlight that is 6+ hours long

I know Ray was meming about modded Kingdom Hearts but the community made a mod manager, OpenKH, that already has a bunch of stuff on it for EGS and Emulation. Hopefully he enjoys the game and checks out KH2 rando in the future
I don't know if there's any chance of mods that add Mascots to the new NCAA game, but if there ever is, I hope Ray is open to using them to hold these tournaments again in the new game. These are always a fun watch.

Considering how often NCAA/Madden re-implements old game modes as "new features," there's always hope for next year, but don't count on it getting added to this game, or for a mod-able PC release

The new game won't have mascot mode this year simply because they couldn't complete all the mascot models in time. It will be in next year's with all 135 furries

Ray perfectly explaining exactly why I don't play Among Us with my one friend and his group. I played with them on only my second time playing, and I was so bad with the movement that I missed a doorway and ran into a wall below it and got voted out because people knew there was a vent there and couldn't believe I was just bad at the game. I was an imposter and didn't even know there was a vent there. It's more fun when its a clusterfuck of people who don't know what they're doing instead of a bunch of goddamn Sherlock Holmes who can recite everything they did, saw, and can pick apart like a bunch of robots.
Hey Ray, this series has been wonderful, entertaining, successful and literally a perfect storm of streaming entertainment. But if you feel like it's the natural end, then it's the natural end.
I'm sure you know what happens when you try to wring out content from a format that has very little left to give. Seeing NCAA falling victim to the Minecraft syndrome would not be good

I know this is the last one. But if there ever is another, it should be the super toilet bowl. The bigger loser teams play but the team that moves on is actually the losing team, thus crowning the worst mascot team.

an 8 yard penalty for holding in the GT-UCONN rematch....old man NCAA 14 needs rest
Holding penalties on the offense that are past the line of scrimmage are marked off from the spot of the foul, not the original spot. So if it occurs 2 yards down field, it will only account for 8 yards of actual penalty yardage.
Now, I haven't watched the whole video yet, (just finished game 1) but I did see this comment and want to impart that this COULD happen within the rules of football, so might not be an old game/console making a mistake. I will amend if that proves not to be the case.
Ye, option offense for AI is busted in 14. Will see the military academies winning championships with upper 70s or low 80s overall ratings in Dynasty Mode after a few years.
