  • John from www.growingyourgreens.com/ visits Teal Farm & Garden to show you how one guy is growing cannabis in living soil with his vegetables.
    In this episode, you will learn how Seth is growing Cannabis alongside his fruits and vegetables in oversize raised beds to grow high-quality herbs and food in his backyard garden.
    You will learn more about how interplanting cannabis plants with your vegetables can help deter pests and minimize crop loss.
    You will learn how Seth starts seeds and grows his mother plants. You will learn how some of the best compost is made using earthworms, and how to protect your soil with grass clipping so you can have some of the best living soil.
    You will also discover what living soil amendments Seth uses to supercharge his plant growth and how he makes compost tea using sun power. You will learn how he easily distributes his compost tea into his garden when watering.
    Finally, John will interview Seth to learn more about growing cannabis and vegetables together in living soil.
    After watching this episode, you will learn the way John would grow his cannabis plants: alongside his vegetables for the easiest time growing cannabis to benefit the soil as well as the plants and the people.

    Just throwing it out there. Build a soil includes the recipes and prep for pretty much every product they provide. Their whole goal is to teach people how to make their own top quality inputs/soil ect. On their website they provide ratios for most if not all of their recipes so people can choose to make it themselves to save money

    I think it's a great idea to mulch with the same plant leaves so it gets the nutrients recycled back into the soil for that plant. I often bury the leaves back in the soil under the plant that dropped them. And use grass to mulch as well, I think he has the right idea :)

The trees are better than ever. Even dried weeds become mulch. I leave some for the pollinizers though in the garden, they love their flowers.

    I waited casually 24 years to have a herb plant again. After laws changed and I can finally have a plant, it is the most important thing to make it happy. The soil has everything from cool worms to Fungi. Baby-Basil and some strawberry as direct root-friends. The cannababy is still inside but once I put it outside and see bumblebees inspecting it, I can die happy. I will.

    • @sethandrews3473
      @sethandrews3473 Год назад

      these plants are very different than the ones originally grown in nature. they have been breed to produce very large dense buds that can mold and rot if they are too wet. They can develop powdery mill dew if they stay wet for a long time, so most cannabis growers like to keep the plant leaves dry unless they are spraying with a foliar feed or a pest management spray

    • @timsmyth7942
      @timsmyth7942 10 месяцев назад

      plants are resilient! but in nature there is also mold and disease sprinkled about, along with bad weather, droughts and less than ideal conditions. you try to mimic nature but disease pests and bad microbes are part of nature. You still do what you can to limit the parts of nature that can have a negative impact on your garden.

I have been saving seeds in my freezer when I get ahold of some good weed so all I really gotta do is put em in some dirt as soon as I get a medical card so I can grow. I would love to be able to just eat it like any herb. When I get bad weed I make weed coconut cream ice cream and it's like mint chocolate chip but even better.

      I love how you speak about eating cannabis. Most Americans don't know that Cannabis was brought back from Southeast asian during the Korean and Vietnam war and was originally grown to be eaten. They would add thai sticks into soups, hence why they were bundled into sticks.
      I personally still enjoy smoking it and will continue to, but we should value it more as a nutritional crop. Hemp seed alone is a very underutilized protein source.

      chopping and dropping large leaves in layers can lead to anaerobic pockets in your soil, try chopping into smaller pieces and let it fully dry out inbetween waterings. Gnat larvae lives off the anaerobic soil bacteria

    Adding Boogie Brew to a municipal water supply line is not recommended. It may be illegal. Be sure to keep an inventory of bismuth subsalicylate.

    I wish. It wouldn't be worth it to try that and take the chance of something happening a cop seeing it and getting locked up for years. That'd be just what I need.

    Its not always good to grow certain plants next to each other, I don't think diversity just for the sake of diversity is a great idea - some plants/species get along well - others not so much and just adding whatever to your garden isnt prudent or wise IMO. They could attract pests and take resources away from other plants. Grow a diverse garden yes but be sure they play nice before you plant next door. To be clear I am not criticising Seth's garden- it looks amazing honestly- just saying , he knows what can coexist-Im sure he isnt just wingin it.

      Ya like the sunflower plant, you want to plant that away from the garden, cause I hear it attracts bugs.

    and yes you get a free pass to call it weed and pot, too, because you lived it.
